    Watching your video gave me the courage to break out my angle grinder and purchase a cutting wheel and cold chisel. The end result was a very nice garden birdbath that my wife and i will enjoy for years to come. Thanks for posting your video.

    You bowled me over with your technique and thinking out of the box. I have 3 Red Marble Boulders in my yard and one of them serves as a "Bubbler" for my backyard pond. Drilled the hole for the water pump line with a hammer drill (my favorite new tool) Great job Jared. 🐦🛁

      Thank you!
      I have been setting in up on our warm 50 degree days and bird have looked at it and one took a drink but I have not been able to capture a bird in it. I think its just too early.
      I am however really confident that they will use it. Last summer I saw the birds drinking from the outside dog bowl and flopping around in it and that's where the idea came from.

    😊 I love the cereal bowl!!!
    I was taken by surprise when I saw the word Birdbath. That's right up my alley!!!
    I created a rock garden for the birds/wildlife and for me of course. It's been years in the making and now it's proudly recognized as an official Certified National Wildlife Habitat.
    I get Bird's all year round and been thinking about how to make my own birdbath. Thanks so much for sharing this. Your Bird bath is awesome. Just an idea for you.... Birds love to hop around on rocks so you might think about adding a couple rocks to the bath. They will stand on them, fight for them and take a bath! 🦉

    fun stuff. As for a bird, surely someone about the neighbourhood has a pet bird. Mines a peach face lovebird and he is a curious critter and will jump into a waiting bath. Also found that house sparrows enjoy water more than a dirt dip. Perhaps a trip to a pet store . . . think free advertising. Also noted (florida) that a fountain effect will call in birds to take a dip

    • @wyomingadventures
      @wyomingadventures ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I can answer that for you. Yes, a bird can easily get in and out of that bird bath. I've had many bird baths through years. The birds will love this one. It's definitely more natural for them. Great idea leaving the rim like that.

    • @CurrentlyRockhounding
      @CurrentlyRockhounding  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you.
      Birds will have no issue getting in and out of this bath as its between 1" and 1 1/2" deep.
      The piece of wood in it is to help bugs get out if they land in the water.

    • @CurrentlyRockhounding
      @CurrentlyRockhounding  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! Yes I think birds will have no issue with this bath since they have a few different landing options and the bath is rather shallow unlike so many bird baths on the market where if you actually filled them it would be like a deep pool for a little chickadee and I think its unlikely for them use it.

    Very cool, I like the raw and smooth contrasting together. Thanks for sharing. Did that marble come from up by Waitts?

    That red marble is great. I collected a nice piece years ago, but forgot where it came from. I know it is from north of Spokane. What is the name of the quarry it comes from? (if you don’t mind). I’d like to make a video of the sample I collected.😊
