    An awesome review! Thank you. I don’t like riding with several attachments to the outside of my helmet. For two main reasons. The extra drag and wind noise ant the potential to lessen the overall safety the helmet was intended to provide! 👍😎🇦🇺

    A little late to the party but I wanted to thank you for your time & sharing your experiences with the K5.. I'm not sure that two years down the road there is another 4K cam set for two (or 3) wheels. There's a big clue there now my spine has seen much better days & a return to 2 wheels is an absolute impossibility. The main (only) issue I can see with the K5 is hiding all the cables coming out the back of the front camera without having to heavily drill & modify the body work around the instrument cluster on the can-am spyder that fingers crossed will arrive in a week or two. The last 6 months has been the longest ever since signing the dotted line.. Again, thank you for your insight into the K5 but unless a miracle happens & I can find a sympathetic answer to the spyder bodywork I will probably go with what I think is the second best option, the M1 from Thinkware that in comparison is relatively easy hiding the single cable to both front & rear camera's. If you have any idea's / suggestions do please share those too with me. Wishing you health & happiness Sir, Mike S

    I want one to capture collisions. I’ve had one in my car for about four years and it has been valuable in clearly showing the other driver at fault on two occasions. One of those incidents the truck driver fled the scene too. I had the footage and the State patrol officer complimented me for having a dash cam. It made his job easier and used it in court. On a motorcycle, people pull out in front of the biker or make left turns failing to yield. They also rear end bikers. Sometimes they flee the scene and I want reliable proof. I will be getting one of these soon. Thanks for the video.

    I was going between the K7 and the X4 insta 360. I choose this right now due to the fact it’s always powered by the motorcycle, always on when the bikes on, always with the bike and rewrites automatically over the oldest footage. I got this K7 with safety and legality in mind first and like you said I’ll get the X4 later for content creation. Ride on! 😎🤘

    I’m using INNOVV k1 and it is great thing. Downside for k1 is connectors that sometimes make system fail on bumpy roads. I recently recorded horrible crash and k1 replay it perfectly. I hope that they have solved k1 problems on k5 version and I hope that no one will have to experience what I had.

  • @joemann7971
    @joemann7971 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Excellent video! I kinda wish the made the entire system more like the K3. They could have just labelled the 4K camera so we know which one is the 4K camera. Even though the unit isn't that big, it will still be more noticable than the K3, and the 4K camera lens looks roughly the same size, so, I don't see how they couldn't have made it separate.

    • @ElroyMcDuff
      @ElroyMcDuff 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bennetts Bike mentioned the K5 briefly in their review of the K3. They said the cable that would be needed for 4k video would need to be thicker and would therefore be more difficult to route through the bike. Sounds legit to me but you're right, a remote camera would be better.

    the decision to have the front camera with everything packed up makes a terrible idea. Anyone can access your sd memory, you have to do some reasonable cable management and wrapping. I don't get the idea behind it, the only reason I could come up with is: to save space from another box to put under the seat.

    • @fightthefuture

    • @Fee.1
      @Fee.1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SUITUGA it’s a design failure no matter how you slice it. Transferring over Bluetooth or via an Ad-hoc WiFi network takes forever and when you really need to transfer footage youre not going to want to stand there and find it and edit it and stand there waiting for it to transfer while you’re standing in the sun or snow etc. trying to get the footage to the police officer or whatever the case may be. It also makes it basically impossible to use this any way but the one way they picture you using it. If you want/need to save all your footage long term you’re screwed because you either stand there transferring to your phone constantly or you have to pop open the slot every time it gets full and deal with all that

    I just see the K5 as pointless. If it's main purpose is for safety and security the K3 is more than adequate. The 4K of the K5 is great but is just overkill without Image Stabilisation. Once Innovv get around to releasing a version with good IS they are on to a winner otherwise, in the mean time save your money and buy the K2 or K3 as the K5 just isn't worth it if you are looking to share videos of your rides so you're better off with a GoPro or Insta360.

    • @PokerMuppet
      @PokerMuppet ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fightthefuture seems like Innovv agreed too as their newest product the K6 is a cheaper, more basic, stripped back product with use as a dash cam pretty much it's only use case. Although I again see that as pointless as 1080p is adequate to do that job so why upgrade the front camera to 2K which only serves to make the unit more expensive. They should have stuck with a 1080p sensor and made the unit as small and as cheap as possible which would encourage others to buy and use the products. At around £250-£300 a few people will get one but most just won't bother.

      Tbh for dash cam I use my Amazon GoPro knock off lol. It’s a Chinese special that cost about $70 on Black Friday and came with all the mounts and cases and spare batteries and such. A go pro is better (I have a 7 black), but just for a dash cam... or in my case tail cam... it’s very hard to justify the price difference!
      Of course if you’re vlogging then it becomes much easier to justify the cost of a go pro.

    Purdy decent, I'd say. I think if you want to stabilize the forward-facing image, you could work up a better place to mount it, or some damping isolation device to remove the juttering. Mount the rear-facing one centrally to see both sides of the bike equally from the rear for capturing if any wild motorist is hungry for a bike sandwich.

    • @TURBOTWINKIE
      @TURBOTWINKIE  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The problem with the MT-10 is there is barely any space under the headlight, and the steering stabilizer doesn't help either as it takes up a lot of space especially when the handlebars are turned. That leaves me with little available space to make a bracket for the camera, although I am considering to revise the design a little. For the rear it will definitely be relocated, I just put it there because I was going to install a new fender eliminator anyways, so that was temporary. Thanks for commenting.
