Here is a quick little demonstration on how to change out your dead or weak 2032 battery in your Tahoe or Suburban key fob. This specific fob is a OEM 2019 Chevrolet Suburban Keyless Entry Remote with 6 buttons but all these fobs will follow a similar process. All you need is a fresh 2032 battery and a small screwdriver. Hey so I took out the battery & there was a clear gel on the negative side of the battery do you have any idea what it could be? Idk if should clean it off before adding a new battery or just leaving it like that?

That's not uncommon. Go ahead and put the new battery back in and you'll be all set.
