JAGUAR 2018 F PACE S REVIEW (owner) - Some good, Some bad...Exhaust sounds soooo good!

  • Jaguar F pace S overview (owner) - Some good, Some bad - check out the video for a quick over view of what we so far like and dislike about our F pace S. In addition to this, the cruise control downhill does not engine brake at all so it exceeds the limit. My 2000 4rumner does! This is a miss in my opinion on Jaguar's side.

    Just picked up our 2020 F Pace on Friday. It is a sport with the4 cylinder turbo. Good power and awesome handling. Love the small turning ratio and responsiveness of the car. Unfortunately another vehicle spun up a rock and we got our first rock chip already. If anyone is buying one get windshield protection they are about 2300.00 to replace.

    Hey sir, great review as always. Just wondering if you have any update since. How has it been holding up (if you still have it), and if not what has your experience been with it since the review. I am seriously interested in getting one, but just have been hearing mixed feedback about its reliability. And for context I’m looking to get one between 30-40k miles and only planning to keep it for 2-3 maybe.

    For the door issue, i'd go to a body shop and have them line it up and tighten the bolts. I think the gap happens because usually the driver's door is being opened and closed the most and it eventually loosens the bolts holding the door. Give that a try.

    • @BoltsNBoost
      @BoltsNBoost  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey thanks for the insight. The outside of the door lines up 100%. Flawlessly. I don't think it's that issue, but rather just the way the interior is on that panel.

    I bought a 2016 F-Pace S and comparing it to my Kia Sportage GT Line 2016 it comes up short in a lot of quality of life features. Of course I bought this car for it's engine and drive feel. But regarding to your review as well, my kia panoramic has a lot more control options, you can lift it up or close it down, you can pull the shade to the middle and just lift the panoramic with a touch of a button. In the F-Pace the buttons are a continuous motion, press it too long and you'll open your panoramic too much, not just crack it open. The shade is also not matte like in my Kia, it's transparent in the F-Pace and lets a lot of light come through it which is really disappointing. My Kia has sound when the trunk opens, has 7 flashes turn signal on impulse. I bump my knee in the dash where the vent is almost everytime I enter the F-Pace and the front bumper has paint chipped just from tiny rocks

      Just got a good deal on a 2.0 diesel one, and bought it.... Beautiful car from any point of view... Very nimble and surprisingly fun to drive... Having the "small" engine it is lighter than any other version --- more nimble to drive on real roads ---- and far more economical. Not having a complex big V engine I expect it to have better reliability than other versions, too.. ... Time will tell.
      If you haven't yet bought one, get it and have fun.... Even the cheapest version looks awesome and makes you feel like a millionaire 😎

    • @cristiancristi9384
      @cristiancristi9384 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@maxxpayne5833 My car has regular/ analog .... Myself I would always prefer analog dials, because light from displays in general bothers my eyes ( be it tv screens, smartphone screens, digital gages from cars... I once travelled in a Peugeot car, itself a nice car but its digital display was so bright I could not look at it at all, especially in the night... And there are many brands that don't offer dimming the screens as an option....This prefference of mine for analog dials is because of my job that in its nature needs to have my eyes well focused for the whole day and therefore tired so that too much light bothers me.... One of the criteria for me to choose a car is to preferably have analog gages and as many physical buttons instead of screen only commands....
      I also am a fan of classical looks as well, I belive analog gages will never be out of fashion for long time... Like watches... We do have smartwatches , they are part of our lives, but analog watches are still a fashionable accessory thst many still use for showing-off as a sign of wealth, instead of just showing the time 😁
      But I am just the exception, most prefer digital gages because they better fits their needs
