When you watch 'Breathe' and 'When I'm Alone', turn captions on, and go to settings and make sure they are set to translate to English. Pau talks to the audience in Spanish a bit just before playing 'Breathe' (which comes right after this song), and Dany talks to the audience midway through 'When I'm Alone' and you'll want to read what she's saying.
This concert is their ERROR tour. So,... Black Holes...This song is very dear to me. Paulina wrote this song about addiction being 13 years old at that time. And this version IS The Best version in my book!!! Being former addict myself, I know That Darkness very well (Now 7+ years sober). As for Paulina, that young lady is something else, I love The Warning, but Paulina has my soul... As much as I love Dany's vocals, Paulina's voice has that "X-Factor" that completely captivates me. So much so that when they do harmonies, I immediately pick up Pau's vocal line. ⚡Viva Paulina⚡ NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
This concert took place on October 28, 2023 and was part of their tour to promote their third album released in 2022, "ERROR." There are 23 songs played at this concert, 12 of which are from "ERROR" (all the songs from the album except "Revenant"). They also performed 4 songs from their first album, "XXI Century Blood," released in 2017, 2 songs from 2018's "Queen of the Murder Scene," 3 songs from 2024's "Keep Me Fed," along with their standalone single "Narcisista" and their version of "Enter Sandman." "Black Holes" is from their first album. For this song, Pau always plays the piano and sings it slowly. Usually, it's performed with her sisters on bass and guitar, and their parts are very good, but the strings in this performance are great too. Here's what Pau said about this song at a storytelling concert at Agua Fría in 2018 (translated from Spanish): "This next song... many times people ask me what it’s about, and honestly, I don’t really like explaining it because everyone has their own interpretation. Sometimes people tell me it’s a love song or something like that, which I find super interesting. I love hearing how people interpret the song because it’s great that everyone sees it in their own way, depending on what they need at the time. But, well... this song is actually about someone who’s struggling with addiction and all the things they’re dealing with. This is 'Black Holes.'"
Pau wrote this when she was just THIRTEEN. It's on The Warning's FIRST full-length album, XXI (21st) Century Blood released in 2017. Pau read a newspaper article about alcohol addiction and the destructive and devastating effects it has on the addict's life - Everything from feelings of guilt and shame, feelings of worthlessness then self- isolation and pushing away friends and loved ones. Ultimately, there is resignation and surrender to the belief that he or she cannot escape addiction's grasp and is defeated. The lyrics are absolutely heart-wrenching and beautifully capture what is unfortunately the sad reality for too many caught in the downward spiral of addiction.
It's about addiction. Someone already commented that but I thought you should be sure to see it given what you've told us. Pau wrote it when she was 13 about someone else and what they must feel in their life with their addiction out of control. Keep rockin'!
They have always performed this as a group. This is the first-time Pow did it solo. Its always amazing. This concert was a mix of old and new. Typically how they do CDMX shows... doogie
“Dad, why are you crying again?” “It’s Pau. She always makes me cry.” “Then, why do you keep listening to this song?” “Because she always makes me cry, son.”
❤️⚡😭 Pau will crush you emotionally. When you get to Breathe turn on CC and bring a box of tissues. It's the song she said she'd never play live. Your are in for so many awesome moments from this concert.
This was their tenth anniversary concert. All four albums are represented here. It's a special concert where they pulled out ALL the stops (no organ playing, however). This is not a cover, as Pau wrote this at 13 about addiction. It is not personal, it is derived from a news article. Young Pau wrote a lot, inspired from stories she read or movies she saw. This is the first time she did this with strings backing her. Originally, Ale and Dany added instrumentation and harmonies to it. The audience response to this was so strong, she decided to play a very personal song she swore she would NEVER perform live - *Breathe* - right after this. That one probably should come with a trigger warning. When you see that one, know that she runs back to her drum kit, so they can play *Enter Sandman* with the strings! Pau is a very different sort of vocalist from Dany. Dany is the classic front woman, especially powerful on harder rock songs, although she gets tender with *Crimson Queen* at Lunario, and again at Pepsi Center with *When I'm Alone.* OTOH, Pau is an extremely emotive empath, capable of creating, or getting inside of, a character, then channeling that character's feelings and experiences straight into our hearts and minds. *23,* at this concert and Teatro Metropolitan, is a prime example of that. I slightly prefer the Pepsi Center performance for the introduction they added to it, but Pau's ending at Teatro Met is better. They were coming off the flu, here, so the fact she could even sing at all is amazing. Those 8000 loving fans probably inspired them all!
Nope not pre-recorded. A 10-piece, all-female string section to accompany Pau on this song, and the band on another. All of us in the room lost our minds when they rolled the piano out. Such a great performance.
This concert was just released in its entirety. There 20 songs, 1 Segment of The Warning talking about their band's journey and 2 encores. Of course each songs has been released as single performances.
Awesome performance she's a gift this is all Pau here her sisters usually back her with backing vocals and soft guitars. This song is about addiction the fact she wrote it at 13 is crazy. Yes this concert is incredible start at the beginning it's got songs from all their albums including a few from KMF the newest album. Great reaction look forward to watching with you. 🔥⚡
The original is Pau singing while playing the keyboard, but instead of a string section, Dany and Ale accompanies her with a subtle yet very tasteful guitar and bass work. Watch "Black Holes at Dakota Bar". You may want to react to that version or just watch it for your own amusement and/or solace.
Thanks Lanae for the wonderful reaction. The Ladies have gifted their fans with the Entire Concert upload to their channel so have at it. There are 23 songs each one as great as the one before it. This is simply an EPIC performance start to finish. Look forward to it on your channel.
Amazing Song And Performance!!! Please React to When I'm Alone just Dany and her Fender Acoustasonic Guitar. And Breathe just Pau and the Panio. These are authentic emotional beautiful songs. These Ladies are so Special ❤❤❤
girl dont even think about looking at them other versions of this song without us, keep it together now we can do this, there are a few hidden treasured gems of this song you need to hear. This song is from the first album XXI Century Blood, written a decade ago, The Dakota Bar is the pefect place to listen to the album live, Great Quality too. Thanks for sharing!!
This was the last concert of their "Error" tour (2023), I believe. They included songs from their past albums, "Survive," "XXI st Century Blood," and songs they debuted from their current album, Keep Me Fed. This concert they "celebrated" their 10 year anniversary as a band, which included a video of their past 10 years. ⚡️THE WARNING⚡️
Thank you. They are real. The song was played in the past with Pau on a keyboard and the other sisters playing etherial instrumental backing and vocals.
Very nice Reaction! This is close to the original way it was performed no orchestra and Dany And Ali were both performing. When you get to When I'm Alone and Breathe from the Pepsi Center Tissues will be Required. Such special performances. This whole concert is spectacular...
As usual, with TW, it seems like one can never stop being surprised, because If you found this emotional, just wait until you see "Breath". Same gig, same piano, same rock star, same crowd and yes, same emotion... but multiplied x 10!! Thanks and greetings from México 🇲🇽 🤟😁✌️
Pau was still sick with the flu for this concert. You can hear her cough off mic at the beginning. When she performs the next song,Breathe, she explains some of that in the beginning. Her sisters were also recovering from the flu but Pau was still having strong symptoms. In this instance it made her voice have more grit and gravel to it, not a bad thing at all.
Probably already said in previous comments... The thumbnails for this concert show little numbers at the bottom right corner, which show what order they were played during the concert. This is from their 'Error' album tour, but includes songs from previous albums, XXI Century Blood and Queen of the Murder Scene - but react to those songs as well. We can't get enough of them.
youre so good recting, ev time this make tears, is such a good song!!! it relates so much to my past! I just love their music so much, so talented! Survive and P.S.Y.C.O.T.I.C. are killers! she was super young whe she made this one.
You stopped to soon, the next song she plays is called breathe it is very emotional for her. Also they just released a new video of a performance at Sirius Xm studios. They did Alanis Morissettes You Oughta Know and they slayed it especially dany`s vocals, WOW!
Pau destroys me every time I see this vid. If you want to see another ballad with her on lead vocals and done amazing harmonies with Dany and Ale, check out Revenant- live from Teatro Metropolitan. You will be freaking amazed. Great reaction! You are very real.
Pau in the main song writer for the group, it just comes naturally to her and she very passionate about that, she´s a genius song writer!! . Pau does lead vocals on other songs as well, they are all fantastic!! I love all of The Warning´s music, but to be honest, my favorite songs are the ones where Pau does lead vocals.
Pau sings leads on a few of the Warning songs (while playing drums). 23, Dust to Dust, Narcisista, etc. You should definitely check out her cover of Creep by Radiohead.
This was their Error tour done last October. It has some of their releases from their Keep Me Fed. Breathe follows this from this show. Be ready for it.
Great reaction. Try the song 23 that Pau sings from Teatro or pepsi center. Yes, this is stripped down and her sisters stepped back to let pau do her thing with a little help by a string quartet.. Good stuff.
This performance is followed by a very personal song for Pau 'Breathe'. Turn on sub at the beginning as Pau speaks in Spanish. The Warning's record label was finishing up on their album 'ERROR' and want one more song. They ask Pau if they can add her song; she agreed with the stipulation than she would never be forced to sing it live; so 'Breathe' was added as a bonus track. At the Teatro Metro concert (2022) the song was played as a recording during a break (the scene was surreal, a darken venue with just the background light illuminating the stage). The next year they played at the Pepsi Center CDMX to 8000 fans! It is my belief that Pau was so appreciative that she wanted to sing this song (tissue required)! Why this song is so personal who knows? Some say it due to the lost of a friend and others have stated its about a panic attack. I've searched Google but nothing only: The song "Breathe" by The Warning is about the difficulty of breathing when emotions are overwhelming - which is as good as an explanation as any. Black Holes was written when Pau was 13 after reading letter about an individual struggling with addition; so she wrote a song about the struggle of this individual. Her sisters probably helped in some form; Pau usually creates the melody and collaborates with her sisters.
Pau has said that they have a very happy life and have not been hurt, like some of their songs elude to. They tell stories, things they read about, things they see on line, on tv. When you were moving I think you had to put The Warning on an unlit back burner and you never got back into being the reactor I had first saw. But I keep hoping.
Nothing wrong with the breaks, that’s just fine. You are going to watch it back anyway! But I do agree with playing it through without stopping only on “Breath”. You will see. It is a short song anyway. I also would suggest going back to the concert beginning and following it back out to Breath. Remember the subtitles for it and “When I’m Alone”. I love your channel! Keep up the great reactions. Looking forward to everything. Just subscribed.
Every second one song replace another... strictly all their songs are amazing never seen that before in any band. And be careful seen this concert will turn you TW strong addict...
You said you wanna hear another version of Black Holes? So, at the Dakota Bar, the three of them perform it together, they were a bit younger - it's a must see!!⚡️💙
Now, listen to it again, listen to the lyrics, and use your addiction point of view to understand what she is talking about. Written at 13 without any personal experience with adictions, this is pure empathy.

Ok Lanae, it's time. You already did all of Lunario. Now is your choice: do you cut your ties with the outside world and fall hopelessly under the spell of the queens of rock (recommended), or do you escape while you can (no fun). You will learn all the answers to your questions and can fire them off to newbies without even thinking about it. I can hear you asking, "Will I ever come back?" Remember what Gandalf said to Frodo when he asked the same question. Something like: No one knows, but if you do, you'll never be the same.
This is a little stripped down, but it’s not a rocker in any version. She always play piano and Dany and Ale provide minimal backing. This concert was over 6 months before their latest album was released. You’ve just got to many questions all at once, I can’t keep up. 😹😹😹. There are only three songs from the newest album.
Possibly a controversial opinion, but I prefer Pau's lead singing voice to Dany's. It's like comparing rich chocholate filled with nuts (Dany) and rich chocholate filled with even richer caramel (Pau).
Pau has said she doesn't want to sing Lead much anymore because it is so tiring with all of the backing vocals she does. To me Dany and Pau are both World Class vocalists. If I had to pick one it would be Dany, but I just might revolt to that question.
You're in luck. They recently realeased the full concert on their channel. Let us know when the live stream will be. th-cam.com/video/mV0SHcP0eQQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=an2IGbazCyO0kBQK
Far too many breaks and those also in inconvenient places. The song has almost no chance to work or the right effect. If you make a reaction to "Breathe" from this concert, you should turn on subtitles and put them in English. Pau has something important to say about this in Spanish. In addition, you should leave it with an interruption with this song, because of the effect as said above. Pau is also on the piano for this song, which comes directly after this one. And it becomes heartbreaking. And of course, almost all songs are written and composed by the sisters. Pau is more or less in charge and the other two then work on it. Almost all songs have their beginning at the piano by Pau and then all 3 make rock out of it.
It is not an album. Now you have to do the next song she sang called "Breathe" with tissues nearby. Some of these songs are very old . This song is from their first Album called "XXI Century Blood". The meaning behind “Black Holes (Don’t Hold On)” delves into the theme of self-discovery and finding one’s true purpose in life. The lyrics depict a journey of inner exploration, as the protagonist grapples with the darkness and uncertainty that can often consume individuals. The metaphor of “black holes” symbolizes the negative forces that may try to hinder progress and growth. The central message of the song is to embrace one’s inner strength and resilience, urging listeners to let go of the past and not allow it to hold them back.

This song is from their first album XXI Century blood. Written by Pau at the age of thirteen.
Black holes is about addiction.
Dakota bar concert has the version when Paulina was thirteen I believe.
⚡Viva Paulina⚡

Congratulations on your 7+ years sobriety. You're crushing it!
Awesome that you've made 7+ years!! Hopefully many more to come!!
"Breathe" and "When I'm Alone" from this show will get you too! Get tissues.
Also, make sure to put on the close captions (english) with these two songs
This concert took place on October 28, 2023 and was part of their tour to promote their third album released in 2022, "ERROR." There are 23 songs played at this concert, 12 of which are from "ERROR" (all the songs from the album except "Revenant"). And Revenant is played during the "X" Anniversary Video during the intermission. So technically the the whole album was played.
@@jefffrey7825 good point!
Pau wrote this when she was just THIRTEEN. It's on The Warning's FIRST full-length album, XXI (21st) Century Blood released in 2017.

Dany loves the way Pau sings this song. The song was written by Pau
“Dad, why are you crying again?”
“It’s Pau. She always makes me cry.”
“Then, why do you keep listening to this song?”
“Because she always makes me cry, son.”
Been sober 30 years. This song IMMEDIATELY yanks me back into those days. Little friggin 13 year old genius…
Right behind you at 25 years.

Why this song is so personal who knows? Some say it due to the lost of a friend and others have stated its about a panic attack. I've searched Google but nothing only: The song "Breathe" by The Warning is about the difficulty of breathing when emotions are overwhelming - which is as good as an explanation as any.

Dany is a superstar but Pau's always the one that tears my heart out. Crazy that she wrote this when she was a teenager.
Also yet to hear a slow song from them? From the person that said Crimson Queen was their favorite? Lol
Every second one song replace another... strictly all their songs are amazing never seen that before in any band. And be careful seen this concert will turn you TW strong addict...
Wait for Breathe!!!!
Pau-erful indeed.
I have a playlist on my channel with the setlist in the order of the concert.
This is the 10th avviversary show so they have songs from all 4 of their allbums.
Next song -- BREATHE
♥ Pau.

This was Error Tour!
You've reacted to one song where Pau sings lead before, Dust To Dust from QOTMS.
You should see the live at Dakota bar version of this from almost 8 years ago.
No love stories here, this is a song about addiction Pau wrote when she was 13. And yes, original is also a piano solo.
Next song: Revenant from Teatro Metropolitan 2022. 😀
This is a piano song always
Haven't you done "Revenant?" If not you really should. Her vocals really shine in that one also. And Danny's acoustic version of "When I'm Alone". 😊👍🏻
Check out Shark and 23.
This is a little stripped down, but it’s not a rocker in any version. She always play piano and Dany and Ale provide minimal backing. This concert was over 6 months before their latest album was released. You’ve just got to many questions all at once, I can’t keep up. 😹😹😹. There are only three songs from the newest album.
the song is about addictions, not love or relationship
Its a reaction channel… Watch the glorious original if you dont want breaks… This whole concert is on The Warnings channel, go like and subscribe.
@@ChadHuisinga True but in this case the breaks, with no rewinds, were too much.
@@davep5788 Give her some time…. She is relatively new, we get better with age, at least that’s what I tell myself!
The song is about someone who’s struggling with addiction and all the things they’re dealing with.
Interesting take on the theme. Pau said it was about addiction. For sure check out the earlier version live at the dakota bar.
