Hello. I've taken this trip many times so I can advise from experience. The Prides of Hull and Rotterdam are pretty big vessels. Any ship will be 'rocky' but in my experience, both ships are steady cruisers. You will get rocked to sleep and that is pleasant. The way I've always judged the effect of being seaborne on other passengers is how busy or deserted the dining areas become. My ex-wife, with whom I travelled, suffered from sea sickness but some Kwells or Dramamine was enough aboard these vessels. The video shows that the Pride of Hull has had some work done on the interiors. Apparently the cabins all have air conditioning now and I understand there are USB charging points. In the past, The Pride of Rotterdam was the more comfortable, quieter ship but by now, engineering work may have been carried out. I'll find out when I take the Hull-Rotterdam return trip next March. To anyone who's planning to to the same, enjoy the crossings and don't forget to drive on the right when you get to Rotterdam!
Nope. The cheapest cabins do not have air conditioning.
Also, I have motion sickness. I couldn't stand upright for too long without my body activating its vomiting reflex.
@@DogDogGodFog Thanks! I'm planning on a trip in spring. Luckily, I don't suffer seasickness and i can live without AC.
One of the best ferry crossings i have done. I miss sailling on both those ferries
Watching this because I’m scared about been on choppy water and missing out on trips so I need to look this in the eye.
素敵な 船旅ですね、
I live in hull and i must do this trip around 4 times a year amsterdam is just amazing
Nice video! On May I was on the ferry too
We did valkenberg and köln Christmas markets in 2015. The ferry was part of the adventure loved it. Going to have to do it again some day.
Lovely video
We live in Oxford but drive up to Hull for these trips as its so much fun and very good value
Nice Video
Awesome vlog

thanks for posting will be doing this in April 24. What date was recorded as we are wondering if we will see the Humber estuaruy before it gets dark around 12/04/24
Thanks just waiting for my new passport and iam going to check this out
I live in Luton so I usually go on the harwich-hook van Holland route
I use it sometimes also ,way way cheaper
Im going on that boat in the easter holiday hull to rotterdam
Can anyone advise, as you can start boarding at 4 are the bars etc open or do they open after setting sail?
Bars and restaurants are open
Looks a nice trip but why so long? I love Ferry Rides.
You can get 6 hrs ferry from Harwich , or 18 Hrs from Newcastle😁
Because the distance is long.
Lol😊😊@@DogDogGodFog
Protip: Do NOT take the cheapest cabins of this ship. They have no air conditioning, which makes them intolerably hot, even in the winter. And make sure to not take your socks off either, because after I did, I immediately got athlete's foot afterwards 🤮
Yes. I literally spent only 1 night on this ship, just +/- two days ago, near the end of December. And yet, our cabins (two different ones, there and back) felt like their temperature was at least 27°C.
I am going on this ferry on sunday
Same here, this Sunday..very excited already hope I dont seasick
I’m taking this trip next month. May I ask how rocky the boat was? I get travel sick and haven’t been on a ferry (only Dover to Calais) since I was in school!
Not rocky at all, unless catch You storm weather
Usually it vibrates instead.
But last time, around the end of December (literally a few days ago) I took the Rotterdam-Hull route, and the weather happened to be bad, so the ship rocked to very extreme degrees. When that happened, I had to lay in bed for as long as possible, because being in an upright position for too long would cause my body to prepare to vomit.
Whats the breakfast like is it streaky bacon and happy shopper ketchup or is a decent spread 🤔 😅
Not a bad breakfast actually... Just got to sell a kidney to buy one on board.
Only grandpa 👴👍🏼
@@JacekZarzycki ok spoko
Tak możesz, ale musisz zadeklarować
Think Stena harwich service is a lot better
Agree that, in my cabin i haven't even tv and its long journey, and 3 ties more expensive
depends where you live as its a half hour drive to Hull but a 4/5 hour to the Harwich. No cheaper on Stena last time we looked
@@martina4226I live about an hour from hull, P&O is no where near good as Stena. Rather pay same or more with Stena. However, disagree with your points on being same price. Stena for harwich is much cheaper than P&O.
Boycott P&O Ferries.
