  • Kerbino Agok Wol was a successful South Sudanese entrepreneur, philanthropist, and a bright young businessman. He owned Kerbino Agok Security Services (KASS), headquartered in Mauritius. He later founded Kerbino Executive conference, Kerbino’s Flame Grill Restaurant and Nile Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Juba, South Sudan. Nile Foundation was dedicated to empowering the youth through sports, entrepreneurship, education, and vocational training programs. It provided a platform for youth to develop themselves academically, socially through sports.
    On April 27, 2018, Kerbino reported himself to the National Security building AKA. (Blue House), after being summoned by the National Security. He would end up being detained at the Blue House detention centre, 10 months without any charges for the accusation of plotting a rebellion against the government.
    On 7 October 2018, he was reportedly put under solitary confinement, following a riot at the Blue House detention centre which he was accused of being the perpetrator. That same month, he was charged with violating sections 67, 72, 79, and 47 of the South Sudan penal code of 2008. On Tuesday 11th June 2019, Kerbino was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the government but later was released in a presidential pardon in January 2020.
    On June 5th, 2020, Kerbino Wol announced the formation of the 7th October Movement to challenge the government he called corrupt and incapable of bringing peace to South Sudan. 9 days into his rebellion, on Sunday 14th June 2020, the South Sudan army hunted down and killed Kerbino along with his son and 4 other fighters in Ayen Mayar, a Village in Amongpiny, Rumbek, Lakes State, South Sudan.
