I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing all the customer quilts, they are beautiful! I am 150 miles from a local quilt shop. Its been fun to see all the quilts you are working on. Im inspired to order the fabrics you show. Thanks again! Happy Quilting!
Another fabulous week of learning from you Tammie, drooling over all the beautiful quilts that you bring to life and listening to your calming voice. Thank you 🙌
I watch your videos most every week. This year I created a COMPLICATED quilt and all the time I was working on it, I watched your quilting designs. I knew this intricate, sophisticated quilt would be difficult to decide on a quilting pattern so I carefully noted every time I saw one I loved. We decided on Chantilly Lace and oh my goodness, it’s beautiful! On the companion lap quilt, we used Moulin Rouge. So lovely! Thanks, I love your channel!
I am anxious to hear your thoughts about starching your fabrics. I too have heard Kimberly from Fat Quarter Shop talk about heavily starching fabrics before cutting. So many gorgeous quilts to feast our eyes on this week. Thank you, Tammie for including all the info!
First let me say I think your beautiful videos gave me the love of long arming. You do amazing work! I’ve only had my long arm for a few months, I used to use an embroidery machine to quilt my quilts for years. I started watching you and dreamed of owning my own. I was very intimidated by this monster (Amara 24) when I got it. Once it finally clicked that it was typically the same system as an embroidery machine, I relaxed and jumped in. I love looking at your pantographs on these quilts. They inspire me. I still have much to learn and appreciate all the tips and tricks you share. I’m thankful for all my friends and family that allow me to “practice” on their quilts. Your quote “ every quilt deserves to be finished “ set me on this journey. Several of them sew but just left the flimsy’s in a stack. Telling me they aren’t good enough to make into a quilt. I disagreed. Thank you Tami for sharing your heart and journey with us. ❤
Thank you, as always, for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience with us. I'm sure it must take loads of time to do all the video stuff on top of your newsletter - thanks so much!
Hi Tammie, once you start starching you won’t go back! What a difference it makes! I use the Faultless Niagara blue/white heavy duty spray can. I also tried their brand that is in the gold/white can (Lux) and I don’t recommend it as the scent is difficult to tolerate. On another note, if you start using steam when pressing you won’t go without ever again as well. Happy quilting my friend💕
Gorgeous quilts everyone! Tammie, quilting looks great, and don't worry...threads happen! 🤣 I love my Towa gauge -- yes, you're right, I sure thought mine was damaged because of the slanted disk. I use it every time I change my bobbins. Thanks for a great episode of lovely quilts!
A fun watch, I watched it 2 x just like your last episode! I’m piecing as I watch and I had a lot of leftover 1/2 chevron blocks, not sure what I would do with them, I didn’t realize what they were then you said something about chevron blocks and a lightbulb went on, that’s what I’ll do with them, I was about to toss them in the trash, I’m trying to use up scrap blocks. Thanks for sharing
Always look forward to your videos. They are so informative. I,always ,love seeing the beautiful quilts and pantographs you choose for them. Thank you for sharing all the information you do with us. I have wanted to get a towa guage but am still a little confused as to how you know what number you should set your bobbin case to. Is it just trial and error until you find the number that gives you the best tension? Thanks.
I'm considering getting the PDF pattern and working on that Christmas quilt as well. I just have a psychological issue with paying the same amount for a PDF pattern as I do one that is already printed by the same company. So I've hard a time time pushing the button to buy! :) I will enjoy watching your progress whether or not I actually do buy at the moment. (Obviously there are other things at play as wel) l. I do have some of all her (LH) Christmas line in my possession, so I think I have enough.
Think of it as paying for the talent - designer's time and creativity, photographer, graphic design, testers and proof readers, paying to keep their lights on, etc. And you don't have to pay postage!
Where is your music from. I would love to get it. I love your show the quilts are beautiful and the quilting is gorgeous, . Thank you for sharing. You are very talented.
I have my own longarm and learn a lot from you. Thank you. I have a towa gauge but my needle on the gauge bounces around a lot when I pull. I don’t get a clear reading. So I stopped using it. I must be doing something wrong.
Not that you're doing anything wrong. It may mean that the thread isn't coming off of the bobbin smoothly. But if you have good tension without using it, then there's no need to "fix something that ain't broken" :)
TOWA Gauge. Which screw on bobbin case to tighten/loosen (large or small)? How to know what ‘range’ to aim for thread tension eg 100-150, 150-120, etc? Great tip about using dots on gauge wheels!
I didnt realize April Cornell did fabric! I thought she just did clothes & home decor - a cross between Laura Ashley and Rachel Ashwell, like "classy chic" instead of "shabby chic" 😊 and i think those are 54 40 or fight blocks using a tri-rec ruler.
And then there are those of us who are not quilters 😊 I just thoroughly enjoy your presentation & seeing what folks do in this art form. 🎉
Really?! Maybe you’ll take up quilting at some point!
I’m with you on Debbie’s#1 quilt. What a beautiful quilt! Those colors!!! ❤️❤️
It really is beautiful!

That is awesome! What a great story!
I definitely get pantograph advise from your videos and introduced to pantographs that I have tried after seeing them on your videos.
Love this!
Once you starch, you will love it!! Keeps your pieces in shape & lessens fraying. I have been starching for years & that’s the same starch I use’
Thanks for the encouragement!
The small brown and black quilt is stunning.
😊

I understand. I buy PDF when I want the pattern right away. I think of it as paying for the convenience of getting it right away.
Where is your music from. I would love to get it. I love your show the quilts are beautiful and the quilting is gorgeous, . Thank you for sharing. You are very talented.
Thank you! You are very kind. The music is “The Moment” by Robert Miller .

Thanks for the questions. Probably best answered with a demonstration so I’ll film that soon.

I like that term "Classy chic" !
