I love watching your show it’s peaceful. When you pointed to your shoulder, reminded me a story by my mom. She made a dress to wear to church with her and dad first got married in 1945, when she walked out dress for church dad noticed she had a string hanging on her shoulder. He told her your dress is beautiful, reached up and pulled the thread, and the whole sleeve fell out. She had forgotten to sew after she had basted it. He had pulled the basting thread out. After that, he would never touch a thread on any of her clothes she made. Mom kept us in dresses her whole life. She taught me how to sew, how to quilt, and one of her last big projects was 197 baby quilts for NICU. Thank you for the reminder.
You are so right Cindy. I feel filled with peace while watching and after the show. I piece and quilt by hand, but I enjoy looking at the beautiful quilts and color choices.
I enjoy your videos so much! I feel like I am sitting right there at your longarm visiting with you! Thank you for showing us beautiful piecing, lovely fabrics, and your wonderful quilting!
I love your channel. I have picked up so many great tips and ideas. I am also learning the Stripology method this year - it has turned out to be a huge time saver. Thanks for all you do to provide information and enjoyment while I am in my sewing room!
Another fun quilt show. I have read some of the other comments and I have to agree with many statements. I enjoy our videos because they are calm/relaxing, informative and just fun to watch. Thank you.
I really like the first quilt as I am drawn to paisley print and the colors used throughout the quilt! Espresso is a perfect pantograph. I love the teal thatched print on the gray and white baby quilt. So cute. The patriotic quilt was very nicely done too. Great idea to add scattered minky blocks in the pastel baby quilt with the adorable lamb pantograph! I look forward to hearing how you like your large stripology ruler. I am very interested in it. It's good to know that Kitchen Table Designs include coloring pages. Oh my, I love watching birds...we actually have starlings gathering in our trees so when this darling quilt was shown we are hearing the birds.
Thank you for this wonderful video… i am learning so much 🥰… i said to myself as i saw my notification bell announce this video…’good… this will calm me’… unfortunately i am struggling with an on/ off sinusitis infection… along with other harsh symptoms… love listening to you and how you make various choices…
Beautiful quilts in this episode. Just gorgeous. Love the tips and ideas on how to choose the designs. I always learn something new about longarming from you. Such a joy…thanks so much Miss Tammie. Have a marvelous weekend. 🤗🤗
Today's quilts are a visual delight. I saw a sparrow quilt at my local quilt shop. It was done in a soft pink colorway. I bought the pattern. The pattern was a must have for me. My idea is to use the natural colors found in birds. I love how the kit is in a dark background fabric allowing the birds to "pop" and shine in their fabrics. Being the birder that I am, I adore this quilt! I just got back from a birding trip to northern Michigan, so I am full of colorful ideas to create this quilt. My other favorite is the paisley quilt. The dark focal fabric is very elegant, yet, the pattern is fun, visually sophisticated and whimsical. The quilting is exquisite as always! Thanks for another enjoyable video.
Your bird quilt will be so pretty. Dana said she is now making the same pattern but making them robins. Your description of the paisley quilt is superb.
Such beautiful quilting, as always! This month’s Sew Sample box was fabulous, & one of my favorites in a while. I loved the Stripology pattern the best. Summer is here for me so I can get busy with some of my projects. Have a wonderful weekend & happy quilting! 🧵
I have seen that sparrow pattern and wanted to purchase it. Had no idea the sparrows were so big in it! Love the color choices of the kit! That quilt reminds me of the song, 'His Eye is in the Sparrow.' I will have to go check that kit out. See if they still have them. Thanks again for the quilt show!
Another fun and informative video. I always look forward to your videos; they never disappoint me. I love the paisley quilt and the bird quilt is absolutely so wonderful. I think I have a bird pattern; I need to look and see if it is by the same designer. Makes me want to get going on it. So many quilts but just not enough hours in the day to make them all!! I love your Sewing Sampler Box basket block, it is so pretty.
Beautiful quilts! Love seeing them, and your quilting of course. I need the stripology book so I can master using my rulers. Karen Brown recently had an interview on her YT channel with Gudron Erla, the creator of the rulers. It was a great interview. I'm stitching around the edge of a finished top while watching 😊. I almost always press my seams open, and I sew with 1.8 stitch length to help hold seams together.
I loved the sew sampler box this month! Thanks for opening jelly roll, I hadn’t opened mine yet. Beautiful line! Patriotic quilt is stunning and I love the quilting!!! On the GE Designs patterns she does include directions wfh regular rulers. So many pretty quilts!
I'm going to make the Sparrow quilt. I'll be using a watercolor looking background and where those 3 triangles are I am co sideline g using fabric with music notes as if the birds are singing. Excited to buy fabric for this and get started. Probably after the first of the year.
I really enjoy your channel. I like how you share your customer finishes and the quilting patterns. I wish for you that you would have purchased the Stripology XL. You may wish you would have.
I just found your channel. I love ❤️ it. I watched your sewing room tour video. Where did you get all the previous trays for housing your quilt projects. I know Lori Holt uses trays. I love your sewing room. It’s so cozy and so sweet. I would stay there all day
Thanks for busting open the 2 1/2" strips in this month's box from FQS. Now I don't have to open mine 'cuz you showed what they look like. Lovely quilts shared, as usual. Very inspiring but I'm already not going to live long enough to make what I have planned now, and these just give me MORE ideas. Ugh! If only I could retire...but then how would I afford the fabric?
Oh, it's the famous battle . . . if we have the time, we don't have the money. If we have the money, we don't have the time. Scarce resources! The joy is in the journey! Enjoy!
I'm amazed at how much you can get done in a week. How many hours do you spend on your long arm a week do you think? How do you find time for your personal sewing and your normal household tasks?
You are very kind. Thank you! The Longarms are running about 8 hours a day. As far as household tasks, I try to theme my days (Bathrooms on Monday, dusting on Tuesday, etc) google “Clean Mama” for her routine. I love her approach to house cleaning! I still have 2 adult daughters at home that do a lot of the cooking and help with kitchen duties. My personal sewing usually takes a backseat to everything else (remember Cinderella? 🤪) I usually try to sneak in some time on the weekends for personal sewing but i am also experimenting with doing one hour of personal sewing every morning before starting the longarms. I’m not a person who sits idle. I like to be productive and busy!
For the quilt made using the striology ruler and book I wonder if you didnt give away too much info.😮 The book and special ruler seems a waste of money now. Dana has a good eye for fabrics. The sweet little birds are cute. One would want their longarmer to coordinate the quilt with the right panto and thread.
I never want to jeopardize the designer’s sales, so I apologize if I analyzed too much. I find that most quilters will want the ruler and pattern to make the quilt perfectly. Most aren’t comfortable with quilty math.

The last quilt with the bird and dark background is gorgeous ❤

That’s a great predicament!

Thanks for the info! I’ll look it up!

Love your channel and your quilt behind you is stunning. Does the pattern have a name
The fabric in the quilt at the 44 minute mark, I think, is The Wordsmith by Moda. It is out of print as far as I can tell.
Love watching your videos. Can you tell us where do you find your beautiful panto's?
I purchase most from Urban Elementz but I also purchase from My Creative Stitches, Intelligent Quilting, Julie Hirt and others.
Kaffe rhymes with cape. I've heard him say his name several times.
