I've been using the BENQ RL2755 for the past 5 years for gaming, coz I play twitch shooters and want that low response time.The LG GP950 is something I'm considering as well.
I got this monitor and it's amazing with Series X, I've also got an RTX 3060 Ti, and I play some casual games like rocket league and sometimes Valorant or CS GO, they work great 4K above 144fps so I get the most out of it, just hoping they'd add more 120FPS @4K in the series X
I think sometimes people want to buy these is to have the option to do what they want. Maybe one day they wanna play a single-player game at 4k 60fps and the next day they wanna play a competitive shooter at 144fps 1080p. Instead of buying 2 monitors or settling for one or the other, they just buy this as a 2 in 1. I do agree that there is no way you would be able to hit 4k 144hz other than with older titles but I strongly believe those are not the people who they're marketing for.
This is what I'm looking to buy this for. I got a PS5 and for First Person Shooters or multiplayer games refresh rate is a must for 120hz but if I'm playing GoW or Spider-Man 60hz at 4K is beautiful
wow you just explained my situation. i ended up adding this with my asus 240hz 1080p monitor so i can cruise on forza with the boys or any single player / co op for visuals, then also play fps games like apex. two different sizes (28 and a 24.5) but it’s better than jus using one imo. (rtx3090 i910900k 64gb@3600 ) usb 2.1 broke earlier that came with the monitor so i gotta use a reg 2.0 until i order a 2.1 but even with the 2.0 hdmi it’s still showing 160ish fps on Forza horizon 4 so i’m confused
How is this under spec? 4k 144hz is the highest refresh rate in this class of resolution. I know you can argue about HDR etc but the only monitor in the actual same class as this which isn't underspecced is 3x the price with the ROG PG32UQX. Everyone has their preference for monitor spec and I prefer a higher resolution than 1440p when I play AAA solo games.
@@lazyreuvin it’s not under specced but it is overprice. I guess it the 10 bit color while most panels have 8bit but it shouldn’t be more 500. 750 just seems a bit too much
I agree about not being able to appreciate a 4k panel at 27/8 inch. Thats why i upgraded to a 43 inch 4k 144hz monitor. No its not too big i have a deep desk and frikin love it!
@UncleBioticz I went with this one because I heard the ROG had really bad quality control issues on its panel, that and it being about 40% more expensive were good enough for me to pick the fv43u
I’ve just got this monitor my self , using it for my Xbox series x , absolutely amazing. Looking forward to more games being added in the future that will do 4K 120hz. Definitely worth a purchase and it’s future proof aswell. 😎

i dont know why people are complaining about the hdr in this monitor its still definitely good if not great for an ips panel and its not like you are gonna play games on this monitor outdoors in sunlight using hdr 450 to 500 nits brightness is pretty decent indoors for hdr no way im saying its as good as 600 nits to 1000 nits hdr monitors but its not bad either

I’ve got a Dell U2720Q with my OG PS4. Downside no HDR and only one HDMI port. Really good quality, good to watch tv on, decent enough to game on. Use it for work mainly.

@@callumyt69 I haven't had any issues or lags playing at 4k 60hz so far it's been smooth and I also tried the ray tracing 120hz mode for spiderman which was also smooth
The video editing outflanks the actual 27inch LCD being promoted. Well done again. Last year, I got a 32inch 4k and now I want a screen that is more of a flat square shape and but slightly wider; 42 inch in at least 6k may do it.
lg 42 inch in 2022, but i would prefer 32-38 inch i have 48 lg cx inch now tho but i will upgrade to 42" in 2022 its abit smaller in width than a 34 inch ultrawide and pretty much same size as 38 inch ultra wide in width. the sweet spot starts at 42 inches for me but less would be better
I return the LG CX 48” and picked up the LG 27GP950-B. The monitor supports HDMI 2.1 and HDR 600. HDR is hit or miss depending on the game. Halo Infinite Technical Preview HDR is perfect. And the so many more great HDR games. Gears 5’s HDR is bad and takes a lot of adjustments to make it look good.
I've been thinking of buying this monitor for console gaming and I think after this review has convinced me to go ahead with the purchase. Very good review
The only reason that I returned this monitor was that the monitor looks very dim. I did everything I could to try to adjust it but it's just not bright. It sucks because I like the look of it so much.
Consoles not supporting DisplayPort really is a killer. Console gamers are forced to pay a premium for that HDMI 2.1. Otherwise they are stuck with really crappy displays that are 1080 max.
Great review! there are not many reviewers mentioning the full 10bit 4:4:4 chroma color or that this monitor supports full 48Gbps bandwidth with no compression.
I have an xbox, switch and playstation on my desk with my PC. This looks awesome because of the 4 hdmi ports. I also play in 4k, so it looks like it might be the perfect monitor for me - just really torn between it and a 42 C2, or an LG GP950 / GQ950.
I agree. These ought to be less priced and perhaps PS5 ought to have a 1440p option. The truth is PS5 is made for TVs and the XB is better for monitors.
Is there a release for this monitor yet? I remember reading that it was supposed to come out Q1 of this year but It's almost the end of the year and still no update. I really wish these companies would make a 32 inch option of every type of monitor they release.

I'm in the market for a monitor that would be both be awesome for gaming on my Playstation 5, and hooking it up to my MacBook Pro to get work done in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. After watching many of these PC monitor reviews you can't help but avoid the conclusion that they're mostly overpriced, under specced crap.

Pro tip, play games at High instead of Ultra and you’ll be amazed on how much fps you save. Even at 4K
Very true ultra is usually not that much better than high and you save allot of frames

Does HDR really affects in gameplay?
@@mercesletifer9553 HDR enhances all colors, shadows, lightening, etc. It absolutely no impact on gameplay.
I checked it out and it doesn’t have hdmi 2.1 which I was looking for to use with my PS5.

PS5 can output FULL RGB @ 60fps. It’s only @120Hz the PS5 outputs 4:2:2. Confirmed from my C9 HDMI service menu.

No you just need a operating system. Ex Xbox or ps4/5 can work if you do not have a pc. You can change setting in the menu buttons on the monitor
