Hey spawn point! I want to thank you for the 77” LG c1 in depth review! From the set up to the review! Your video helped me impulse buy one this early Black Friday sale and the wife was totally cool with it. Keep up the great work
Bro I love your straight to the point reviews, that shoot exactly what we need to see, with nice visual cuts, calming audio and nothing overly complex.
I've been using this monitor for about 2 months and it's the best looking screen I've ever used. 4K at 27" gives such a high PPI that it's like having a giant phone screen for a monitor. Everything is crispy AF. As soon as I can find one in stock I will be purchasing a 2nd one for my dual monitor setup. The only issue I have with it is the "Black Screen" problem. Every now and again the screen will flicker to black for about 1 second. It's not a big deal and I believe they are working on a fix for it.
Im thinking on purchasing one but im a little worried about IPS Glow and black light bleed has i play in darker room and dark games. How is your unit for this matter?
@@gallomexico4919 I dont have problems IPS glow, Ips will always have a little. I also have a recessed LED in my ceiling that helps with a little back round light.
The 800$ is a bit pricy to me. I have a 24inch for black friday at 150$ and its 1Ms response and 120hz, got 2 of them to replace my old 24inch screen. They are not 4K tho, maybe in few years 4mk monitor will go down in price.
I just purchased an LG 27GN95R-B on sale! This one is without the LED version compared in this video. I really like the monitor so far! Even though it's not perfect like OLED, but it's still nice. Colors looks great.
Just got myself a LG C1, as gaming monitor. And so far its has been great, I had a samsung 1440p 144hz 27" monitor before, but damn the input lag in this TV is crazy low.
Yeah just got a return label for my Samsung G70A because the input lag was still too high for fps games and the option were very limited due to the adaptive sync being turned on to avoid the input lag.
This monitor looks sleek! Couldn't find one in stock for I bought the Acer XV282K Hdmi 2.1 monitor and it's been amazing. No complaints, all the games I play look great. I highly recommend it if you cannot find this LG model in stores or online.

Sadly enough I can’t find it on sale anywhere here, but I think a 32 inch option would be awesome given it’s a 4K gaming monitor. Btw I really love your setup, it looks nicely clean and minimal.

Considering how shitty the PC gaming monitor market is with its exorbitant prices for 27 inch IPS monitors, I made the switch to the LG C1 OLED TV of 48 inches at USD 1500. No regrets whatsoever, as it looks mindblowingly phenomenal with its outstanding black levels and response times while still featuring monitor like abilities with 120 Hz Freesync/G-Sync compatibility. The OLED's color/black reporduction alone was worth it, but that it can function like a regular monitor and make everything look better than I thought it could...means I am never going back to non-OLED displays ever again. I came from LG's own 27GL850 (1440 IPS 144 Hz) and a VA ultrawide. I even leave the HDR on all the time, as the C1 can handle the content and actually display it quite well, as opposed to the 'certified' but shit tier HDR on the 27GL850 where I only used SDR because of how bad the HDR was on it. I do miss the ultrawide aspect ratio, but the picture clarity (VA ghosting) and the quality of the image overall, makes it a small sacrifice until OLED ultrawides. I don't even mind if they take 10 years for it, OLED is just worth it.
@@siralot1045 Definitely, but I was talking about that end of the range on monitor pricing when 27in IPS 'gaming' monitors, or ultrawide monitors could hit USD 1000 for just a couple of features or size. They are much more affordable now, but only because OLED/QLED TVs and monitors came in at that price point and started eating their breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Again, on the higher end of monitor pricing. Your average monitor users are still reliant on low to mid end LED displays. Non OLED/QLED displays are forever dead to me.
There's a firmware update coming out that fixes the black screen issue some people have had on PC, plus it adds 144Hz support over HDMI (it's currently limited to 120Hz). On LG's website it says it will be out before the end of November, but as of right now it's not been released. I've had one for a few months and I only have a handful of minor gripes with it: - 1. The bleed in the corners. Like you said, it's only really an issue during dark scenes. 2. The light show that happens every time the monitor is turned on or wakes from sleep, again, as you mentioned. 3. The lack of a remote control. I switch inputs a lot as I use it with 2 consoles and a PC and it would be nice to not have to use that little joystick on the bottom of the monitor to do it. I'm also a little concerned about it having a fan in it, even though mine is silent, as sometimes fans that are initially silent start to make some noise over time. Hopefully that doesn't happen. Oh, and the price is kinda crazy too. Overall though, I love it. The performance is fantastic, the bezels are tiny, and it's got all the features I wanted from a monitor. Until there are 27" OLEDs available - if ever - this is up there with the best you're gonna get at this size IMO.
Loving the recent videos man. Keep it up. I currently have a PS5, fairly high-end PC with Gamepass ultimate and a Nintendo switch. What I would call the Holy Trinity of gaming, so I don't miss out on any exclusive seeing as every xbox game also comes to PC now. 😀 Unfortunately, not a lot of time to play on the consoles these days as we only have one TV. Would love this #Gamingmonitor. It would be ideal for me as I already have a desk in the livingroom as well, but I can't justify buying one at that price. 😢
Not really...this monitor is very good, but IMO, not really worth it at this price unless you have a LOT of disposable cash. I would rather spend a bit more and upgrade my TV so that everyone can enjoy it instead of just me. I already have a 4k 60hz monitor which I have in the past used with the PS5, but that is currently being used as my work monitor in the office. Besides, I do not play competitive FPS games on my PS5 which are probably the only games that can actually need a high refresh rate monitor/TV. I play those on my PC, and for that I have a 165hz 1440p monitor. In any case, this monitor had not been released when I bought the consoles and PC...And the consoles are not just for me, they're for my son as well and if he enjoys playing on them, I am happy. My son and I also love the Spider-Man games, so the PS5 was a day 1 preorder purchase for me. :-) Probably the only game that my mum and dad play with my son when they're around is Mario kart on the Switch and that alone justifies that for me. That is before you take into account the portability and unique games on the Nintendo platform. Buy a cheap Online sub from when it's on sale and you can play NES/SNES games which again, my son loves playing from time to time and even the wife has had a go occasionally.
#gamingmonitor I've been lucky enough to get one of these for my PS5 and can confirm that it's brilliant. Personally didn't enjoy the HDR as it made the colours appear washed out. Try playing without it on as the colours are vibrant enough without it. I promise you that you won't be able to play competitive shooters on your television again. There's just something about using a monitor for shooters. Great video as always.
why you turned HDR off on the PS5? won’t we miss something in game? on step 3 on the calibration HDR PS5 can’t see anything, pitch black. Without HDR how you set it up for shooters like BF2042 or COD if you have those ? Thanks. I come from TV and actually have to clue about monitors
I just purchased this monitor. It seems to be the best 27 inch monitor with HDMI 2.1. I was considering one of the Accer models and also a Gigabyte but they had a lot of complaints about dead pixels and such. This one didn’t seem to have those same complaints. There are some better options that are 32 inches but in my opinion 32 inches is too big for a gaming monitor.
Currently gaming on a PS5 with a 27" LG Ultragear 27GL63T. Was a Costco purchase a couple years ago for about $300 but it's held up well. Supports 144Hz on the PS5, but I do experience the same washed-out looks in darker scenes when playing during the day. But in terms of your actual gaming improving, I experienced a noticeable improvement the moment I switched to a 27" gaming monitor versus a 55" TV. Everything is just sharper, faster, more condensed, you can see everything easier and make quicker choices. #gamingmonitor
This is definitely an impressive monitor, price is definitely high for 27 inch screen. I've been rocking the C1 oled with Series X and my gaming PC (RTX 3060 ti) and I'm so far really happy. Been looking for a second screen for tasks since I sold my Asus Rog pg27uq
As somebody that works in the tech industry that sells a crap ton of C1'a and has gamed on one using a Series X, do consider getting one. They're absolutely phenomenal.
@@Niels_f2704 I have mine mounted to the wall about 3 feet or so from my desk, it does take some getting used to but so far I'm not having issues. Not much difference in the C1 and alot of the ultrawides out there
Hey mate, just wanted to say you inspired me to start my own TH-cam channel using my iPhone as the main camera! It’s perfect. Anyway love the content and I game on PS5 or Switch!
This monitor is the final piece to my battlestation, I thought my struggles ended at the GPU. Theres one more battle, just one more.... Edit: Managed to get one from LG's site, 4k here I come!
I would love to have a 4K 120Hz monitor, but for me they’re too expensive right now. I game on a monitor with my PS5. So for now I’ve ordered myself a great 1080p 144Hz 1ms HDR10 LG Ultragear monitor. Once prices of the 4K 120Hz drop I’ll then grab one.
@@thefury4815 Because the PS5 doesn’t support 1440p at all at the moment and even when the 1440p update arrives soon, it won’t support 120Hz refresh rate. It will be 1440p at 60Hz. So I saved myself about £70 by getting a 1080p 165 Hz monitor. I mentioned in my comment I ordered the LG Ultragear, but Emmy mate experienced a an issue with the pixels on his, so I changed it to BenQ EX2710S 165Hz and it’s amazing. My old 1080p monitor was about 10 years old and even though the new one is same 1080p the difference between them is like night and day. All these new monitors have the latest colour tech, HDR and all other tech Bella and whistles and it actually looks like 1440p. In fact, strangely my PS5 let’s me choose 2160p option with the new monitor even though it’s not a 4K monitor. But I leave it at 1080p 120Hz. Once the 4K 120Hz monitor prices drop I’ll definitely grab one.
@@famezy9103 most monitors down sample a 4k 60hz image down to 1440p and your ps5 will detect the monitor as supporting 4k 60hz. So technically you can play ps5 games at 1440p which is what I do and it looks absolutely gorgeous and it let's me play 1080 120fps games that support it. Also since it can do 1080/4k 120 I wouldn't be surprised if the update did include 1440 120 support
Great review again bud, thank you. Im on series X and PS5 on the LG CX, but with the kids wanting to watch the tv etc I'm considering moving them to a desk with monitor. Was struggling to find HDR and 2.1 hdmi, but LG wins out again with the entire package here.
That was my thinking too mate. It's awesome having the option to do both. I bought another power cable and HDMI so I only have to move the console between the two, not the cables too.
I have the LG CX and it's the best TV I've ever owned but I recently bought a 1440p monitor that takes a 4k 60hz image and down scales it to 1440p on ps5 and I'm never going back to a tv. Monitors just look so crisp for gaming. Even games on switch look way better on it. And it still plays games at 120fps they're just 1080p on ps5(hopefilly they support 1440p this year.) So I can only imagine a true 4k 120hz monitor is gonna be way better than the CX. I just didn't get a 4k 120hz monitor because I can't justify that price.
Hi mate! Great video, you inspired me to get this monitor as I was in the market for my first ever gaming monitor… this thing is amazing! Granted I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I am absolutely blown away by it. Do you have any suggestions on speakers for this? I mainly use a headset but when I can’t be bothered with that I’d quite like a nice set of speakers at around the £100-£150 mark 👍🏻
@@SpawnPoiint what do you use for editing? FC Pro? If so is there any guides you would recommend for starting out with that? I’m starting a motorbike channel and my skills are verrrry limited.
There’s nothing else than: For PC gaming: Mini Led panel for HDR content + 240hz minimum for competitive (together in a single panel) For console: OLED HGiG Dolby Vision 120hz Vsync compatible 4K TV, even tho a 1080/2k TV with the same specs would be much better to avoid upscale blur of new gen console games that basically never run at native 4K, especially with a minimum of 60 frames (anything below is unplayable).
Any chance you could get hold of some of the other hdmi 2.1 monitors to compare? Im interested in the 28 inch Acer, 28inch GIGABYTE and the Eve Spectrum uses the same LG panel as yours. I just want someone to compare them all lol.
Great video. I wanted this monitor but it was taking too long to release and also $900 is a lot. I highly recommend the ASUS TUF Gaming 27" 2K Monitor (VG27AQL1A). I think I got it for around $300. It’s a 1440p monitor but the PS5 sees it as a 4K monitor. It also can utilize the PS5’s 120hz mode when I’m playing fast paced games at 1080p. So I get higher resolution when I need it (upscaled 4K) and higher frame rates when I need it (1080p 120hz). It’s like the best of both worlds and doesn’t break the bank. #GamingMonitor
nice review, been hunting for this monitor since returning a faulty Samsung Odyssey G7 a few months ago but just hasn't come back into stock anywhere. Currys emailed saying it's not coming back into stock so not sure what's happening with both this LG and Samsung monitors, both are gold dust. sticking with gaming on my LG CX for now
PS5....this looks so nice!! At this price might as well a save little and get the 48in C1for a monitor. I prefer a living room tv as well. Saving for the C1 65in hopefully
Excellent review mate. I'm not convinced of the small size for a 4K monitor and hopefully, they'll make a 32-inch version with some better HDR. #gamingmonitor
I have this monitor but I always have HDR off because it makes the picture look too dark. In combination with the PS5 I cant find a way to adjust the HDR so that the picture looks as good as in this video. Maybe you can help and tell me exactly how you adjusted HDR. Thank you very much.
#gamingmonitor - I have had this monitor on my shortlist for a while and been waiting for it to arrive locally since August.. getting this model here in the UAE is very difficult for some reason through the offical LG dealership. the local Asus dealership is much better with monitors availability specially the recent HDMI 2.1 monitors such as the Asus TUF VG28UQL1A
@@lanaya3148 yea admittedly it’s kind of worth just getting a LG Oled but I didn’t want to mess with burn in. Had an Oled before and lasted me about 3 years before burn in started

Hi men. I’ve bought this monitor and while connected to PS5 and id i try to activate VRR it says that the monitor does not support it. Any ideas why? Regards
For competitive gaming like first person shooters definitely go with a monitor. If you’re more of a casual gamer and/or you only play single player games then a TV might be the better option. Personally I play both but I don’t have a lot of space so i game on a monitor.
LG released a new firmware update for this monitor yesterday; SV4.06, DV44, NV6.07. I can't find any release notes though. Anyone know what it does/changes? I've installed it, but I can't notice any differences.
Everyone is talking only about the video aspect when connecting this monitor with next gen console like ps5, but what about audio?? It doesn't make sense to have great visuals but then have sub par audio. Does this monitor have digital audio out to preserve the audio fidelity? What speaker setup would you recommend when using this monitor with next gen consoles?

@@White_5tar that’s understandable, family first. I have this lg and it’s awesome but I agree, maybe not worth spending this much on a monitor.
Thanks SP! You really covered everything I was curious about! Great reviews too.
Thank you!
Now this monitor is obsolete cause of OLED… crazy how fast display tech has evolved
I've been trying to get my hands on. this monitor since March...its soo hard get...its a beast!
I agree mate it’s a beast but so hard to bag one. Almost as hard as consoles 😅
#gamingmonitor
I've been lucky enough to get one of these for my PS5 and can confirm that it's brilliant.
It’s fine on Xbox Series X don’t know if PlayStation has a HDR calibration software but Xbox does and it really makes it so much better
the PS5 has it and I used it in my OLED once. For me it’s just a mess with this monitor. There are 3 steps.
Where did you get it ive been looking for one for months
@@MisterNoble got one in July through LG Website. Since then there isn’t one available. Lol
Beautiful setups, all spaces shown were very well put together. Great review!
Im going to buy one for my ps5 and i was playing on a 32 inch tv and im worried about it being 27 inch. What do u think
What’s are your settings for ps5?
How is it?
Bro I love all your videos ❤️, your cable management is on point 💯
Ah thanks mate.
Currently gaming on PC. Great video, SpawnPoiint!
Amazing 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks as always.
Great review, would be a wish list purchase when funds permit!
i love everything about this monitor. i wish i had a pc so i could hit the 160hz but it holds up perfectly for my XSX
Are you playing in full 4k 120hz on your xbox series x?
@@JonesTheLad upscaled 4k not sure if im hitting a stable 120 cause its not a pc and there isnt a fps counter
Just purchased this based on your review 🙏
Great choice 👍
@@SpawnPoiint your content is always top notch, looking forward to your video on the PS5 Scuf Controller!👌🏽🔥
Nice! The C1 is a great screen mate.
Also having the C1 oled for pc gaming (RTX3080). it's incredible!
As somebody that works in the tech industry that sells a crap ton of C1'a and has gamed on one using a Series X, do consider getting one. They're absolutely phenomenal.
Wouldn’t the C1 be too big for a simple desk setup?
@@Niels_f2704 I have mine mounted to the wall about 3 feet or so from my desk, it does take some getting used to but so far I'm not having issues. Not much difference in the C1 and alot of the ultrawides out there
Absolutely love the channel
Thank you 🙏
Was waiting for this. Quality video what sharpness do you use and picture settings 👍🔥#Gaming Monitor.
Thank you. I have it set to 20.
Hey mate, just wanted to say you inspired me to start my own TH-cam channel using my iPhone as the main camera! It’s perfect. Anyway love the content and I game on PS5 or Switch!
That’s awesome to hear. Thank you too.
This monitor is the final piece to my battlestation, I thought my struggles ended at the GPU. Theres one more battle, just one more....
Edit: Managed to get one from LG's site, 4k here I come!
how was it
Great video mate. Thinking of getting the monitor for my PS5 since I want to be able to play games in true 4k
Hopefully we’ll see prices drop next year
@@SpawnPoiint Fingers crossed mate. Keep up the great work and thanks for great and informative videos.
What made you go with 1080 over 1440?
I game on Xbox Series X + PS5 + PC - each offers something the other one doesn't. All connected to the same TV as you - 77" LG C1 OLED 2021.
Great setup 💪
I currently game on a PS5, Series S, Switch and PS4 Pro. Definitely craving a 4k 120 monitor for the new systems
Nice line up of consoles.
still cant play 4k 120hz with warzone and others only a select number of games
Thanks for including your thoughts using this monitor with an Xbox Series X. Appreciate your work!
No worries mate. You been playing Forza 5? I'm addicted to it at the moment.
This tv has 2.1 hdmi?
@@SpawnPoiint what are your os5 settings please bro
To turn off the light behind the monitor, hold the wheel down where u change the static changes
I want this monitor but I don’t know about that price. I feel like it would be better to spend $200 more and get a 48” C1.
Yeh same
do it (PS5)
Big facts! Especially if you have a console
One of the best underrated channel
I would literally sell my kidney for this...
Sounds like a fair trade to me.
Less the $600 on Amazon prime day 👍🏽
Lol
Another well made one. Nice job.
Cheers Chris!
@@SpawnPoiint what do you use for editing? FC Pro? If so is there any guides you would recommend for starting out with that? I’m starting a motorbike channel and my skills are verrrry limited.
Love this monitor. HDR is good but not great. Main big ups is very very low input lag
Do you have any suggession better one at this price range
There’s nothing else than:
For PC gaming: Mini Led panel for HDR content + 240hz minimum for competitive (together in a single panel)
For console: OLED HGiG Dolby Vision 120hz Vsync compatible 4K TV, even tho a 1080/2k TV with the same specs would be much better to avoid upscale blur of new gen console games that basically never run at native 4K, especially with a minimum of 60 frames (anything below is unplayable).
#GamingMonitor - Great vid as always, cant wait to get my hands on a PS5 a monitor like this!
Thanks for watching
Oh great choice mate.
What Hz model did you buy? Goes from 144hz to 280hz models on Amazon
@@Gamer_85 I have the vg27wq1b is this good for ps5?
@@Gamer_85 mine is 170hz I believe.

nice review, been hunting for this monitor since returning a faulty Samsung Odyssey G7 a few months ago but just hasn't come back into stock anywhere. Currys emailed saying it's not coming back into stock so not sure what's happening with both this LG and Samsung monitors, both are gold dust. sticking with gaming on my LG CX for now
Was thinking about get the g7 over the 950. Don’t know if I should trust Samsung’s quality control.
Excellent quality videos
Thank you mate.
PS5....this looks so nice!! At this price might as well a save little and get the 48in C1for a monitor. I prefer a living room tv as well. Saving for the C1 65in hopefully
How do you say this compares with the Sony Inzone M9?
Excellent review mate. I'm not convinced of the small size for a 4K monitor and hopefully, they'll make a 32-inch version with some better HDR. #gamingmonitor
I have this monitor but I always have HDR off because it makes the picture look too dark. In combination with the PS5 I cant find a way to adjust the HDR so that the picture looks as good as in this video. Maybe you can help and tell me exactly how you adjusted HDR. Thank you very much.
Ps5 using a LG 48 CX. Perfect combo imo 👍👍
Gorgeous monitor mate and another great video 👌
Thank you mate
#gamingmonitor - I have had this monitor on my shortlist for a while and been waiting for it to arrive locally since August.. getting this model here in the UAE is very difficult for some reason through the offical LG dealership. the local Asus dealership is much better with monitors availability specially the recent HDMI 2.1 monitors such as the Asus TUF VG28UQL1A
Yes stock has been a real issue for this here too, really strange.
Stock issues here in North America as well.
Is the screen glossy??? This may be the best thing next to the eve spectrum which is quite hard to get.
No it's not, it's got a matte finish.
I have one and it’s absolutely amazing
I’m planning to get one as well but it’s kinda expensive
@@lanaya3148 yea admittedly it’s kind of worth just getting a LG Oled but I didn’t want to mess with burn in. Had an Oled before and lasted me about 3 years before burn in started
Since the PS5 and XSX are nearly impossible get my hands on, I'm using the shortage to catch up on PS3/PS4 backlog.
Great video man. You have an extra sub! I’m desperate for a 4K 120hz monitor so I can utilise my PS5 properly. Too pricey for me right now though. I got the Zowie XL2411K and pretty happy with it for the meantime. Hopefully prices will get better over the next year.
Great video mate. Any plans to mount this to your standing desk ? Would make it so clean! Or can the desk not support it being mounted
Hi men. I’ve bought this monitor and while connected to PS5 and id i try to activate VRR it says that the monitor does not support it. Any ideas why? Regards
Wow that’s screen is incredible !! Nice video mate 🙌🏻
Nice. Was looking for a monitor for my PS5!
If you had to decide between the LG C1 or GP950 for gaming, which would you go with?
For competitive gaming like first person shooters definitely go with a monitor. If you’re more of a casual gamer and/or you only play single player games then a TV might be the better option.
Personally I play both but I don’t have a lot of space so i game on a monitor.
@@jasonf7072 I appreciate the response! Ended up switching to the C1 after trying out the GP950 for about a week.

Oh nice. Enjoy.
Great video!! Now if I could just find it in stock someplace at MSRP.
