Cebu ngohiong was my favorite when I was still studying in Cebu from USP I have to go to cebu ngohiong house there’s never a single day that I will missed eating ngohiong even tho’ if I will go by myself get the long line sometimes 😂 now thanks for sharing my favorite food cuz there’s never be any best ngohiong that I tried to eat so far than the one from cebu ngohiong house❤❤❤thanks guys!🫶 Just hoping I can learn how to make it🤞

The 5 spice makes the dish. Kudos to Cebuanos for kicking off the use of spices which Filipino cuisine sorely lacks of among Asian countries. Spices, veges and herbs contain nutrients that keep brain cells alive and healthy longer. Sayo mag ango- ango ang mga Pinoy due to diet poor in veges and spices. This dish is new to me but I like it already. ADD ON : Labong- bamboo shoots Dabong - coconut palm shoots which is nowhere to be found in the States. I'll sub Asian pears and singkamas. We'll see.

Singkamas or turnip is actually an alternative to coconut palm shoots. When you go to Cebu, Ngohiong is served anywhere.
