The only reason I’m considering upgrading my 2010 is for the available 6.2 and being able to straight pipe it. My truck sound beautiful but nothing ever compare to a straight piped V8
First truck...lovely ! Need Some new exhaust pieces but i am in germany, thats handicap to get new parts🥴 but i love my truck! Got an sierra from 2008, rare in germany🤘😎🤙 nice Video als always🤘
I would love to do straight pipes on my 18 Silverado but my neighbors would not at all like that. Thinking of doing a muffler delete with a Flowmaster Super 10 though. I just want that nice deep cold start and idle, with some balls when I lay the pedal down.
That’s what I have, cut out the 3rd cat, resonator and stock muffler, put a Flowmaster super 10 with 3” pipe to 4” dual tips, she loud, but not obnoxiously loud.
@@flyingace5057 nope, there is no o2 sensor on it, you’d still have the two other catalytic converters up front that have the o2 sensors. The third cat doesn’t have any o2 sensors on it.
The last white one sounds pretty good. They sound much better with a cat delete tho. I have an 02 Suburban with a 5.3 with a cat delete and a thrush welded muffler and it sounds awesome.
They just want trucks that are all bark no bite. I run my 2000 Sierra with hooker long tube headers and true dialed x pipe that dumps off the back side of the differential, waaaay louder than these trucks
@exhaustaddicts do you think 3.5" single exhaust is to big for a stock 5.3 on 2018? Most bolt on systems are 3" but ive found one that is 3.5" and I just don't want it to be too bug and kill the velocity or lose power.
I have the hp2 outlaw and I want it little more louder so I’m going in to get the sound dempers removed , should I also do wider tips and dual ? I have single right now
I have the L86 and there is NOT 1 flowmaster that doesnt kill top end power. I had 3.5 inlet 4 inch case dual 2.5 inch. Cut 9 wheel HP on a dyno compared to a Magnaflow 3.5 inlet/outlet. If go magnaflow if you want performance. Flowmaster for sound.
Can I get these sounds on my '05 Accord V6? I hate those raspy, cracking or popping or screaming buzzy sounds. It's only deep rumble sound for me. Also, I hate revving in neutral or redlining in every gear. I'm a very sedate driver who wants to leave a deep rumble behind as I drive away. Can you suggest me one please? I know these are diesel V8s and mine is gas V6. Still.
Sound? Not at all. Loudness? A little closer to stock. No 5.3l sounds even close to that deep without an exhaust customization. Not even that loud either.
For an exhaust shop you would think they would know what straight pipe means . A muffler delete with cats is not straight pipe. Straight pipe is no cats , no mufflers , no resonators. Straight free flowing pipe from headers to the exit of the exhaust .
Unfortunately they wont take the cats off due to being illegal to run . They do what they can. I'm sure if they could straight pipe all the way. They would. You don't think all the guys getting cat backs want true straight lol. Hell yea lol
@@Livinoutdoors_there’s only 4pistons firing each side making it sound clappy and it ain’t a good sound honestly.and with an X you’ll hear all 8 cylinders on both sides making sound way less clappy and more equalized

I have a feeling my 09 5.3 is louder then the 2020 true dual straights and I got 3rd cat delete and muffler delete with a y pipe 2.5" inlet and 2 1/4" outlet
The 3rd cat is only there to satisfy California emissions. Instead of GM having to produce different Y pipes they just had all trucks equipment with the same Y pipe that would be used in California. The 3rd cat is not monitored and doesn't do anything except restrict flow. Just gut the 3rd cat.
The white one at the end sounded fabulous...
I like the way the 1st truck sounded ..Nice & Deep w/o the raspiness..The 2020 gmc sierra sounded really nice as well
Thanks for all the info.....going w a exhaust delete and getting rid of the resonators....all thanks to your videos
Going to do the same in the morning on my 2011 Sierra SLT
Tough to beat the sound of a true dual exhaust
The white gmc with a straight pipe sounds dope as hell. That’s what i want for my 2010 Chevy 1500. Straight pipes. Awesome!
Glad you like it!

When in doubt just straight pipe. Lol
Straight piping 1400 mile truck, love it

I went to high school in the 90s. Parking lot after school sounded like dragons in a mosh pit. Gone are the days of loud trucks.
If mullets can come back, SO WILL LOUD TRUCKS!!!

Any time
That last one is probably one of the baddest one of all them in this video.

Yes I agree with guys that liked the last white truck. 👍👌🥰

The Sierra was the sickest sounding one in my opinion
Feelin the HP2.... wait the 2nd truck, deleted sierra was killin it lol

I kind of like that HP2 sound
hp2 just gives it a nice throaty sound instead of an obnoxious hillbilly exhaust sound.

That’s pretty much common sense, everything sounds better without the cat. But it’s illegal to remove in most places.
@@jordanpayne6838 just depends on if it can pass emissions/if you have to test for them
The true duals need an X or an H pipe. Will help flow and sound much better. No merge pipe leaves power on the table due to less scavenging affect.

We take the dreaded 3rd cat off here in Minnesota, so does Kinneys in Texas.
I got my muffler at kinneys
Can you legally do a 3rd cat delete in Nashville Tennessee? Will emissions care or are they looking for the main 2 cats only?

It can loss some back pressure and low end. Unless the truck is built
I thought they all sounded great....and then I got to white Sierra in the video....god damn I want that !
That Sierra tho😍
Does the exhaust tip diameter change the sound or is the diameter purely cosmetic?
Bigger the diameter of the exhaust tip it does change the sound
