I'd love to try making my own products! It would be great if you did a curly hair series (I have curls, so I'd be interested!), and I was wondering if you could do a video on how to make curly hair friendly hair gel? I make my own flaxseed gel and would love to know how to make a shelf stable version. :)

Question, if this ingredient clings so well could it not also prevent other ingredients that you are adding to your formula to function? Meaning if you're adding hydrolyzed silk Protein to your hair conditioner and you're also adding btms 50 couldn't you be preventing the hydrolyzed silk to actually enter your hair Follicle? So the hydrolyzed silk protein which is super beneficial to your hair will actually be rinsed off and what remains is the BTMs 50.

My terms are that it is powdered, neutral, cationic, or amphoteric charged and water solubale. Lol I know its specific ... but your help is greatly appreciated!

PLANT-BASED SUBSTITUTION?: As a substitution, what if one used a basic emulsifier, along with making a hydrocolloid gell by combining glycerin with gums and other pectin and mucilage constituents such as Irish moss, xantham gum, gum aribic, or guar gum? Would these give the formula that conditioning effect you are referring to?

    • @HumblebeeAndMe

Alas, it would not :( None of those things are cationic, and that's essential.
