Their version is epic.Wonderful version. They were a great band down south with many hits.Funky and smooth. Some of these guys were in Classics 4 if I remember correctly.
ARS (70s)founded by a Classics IV (60s) member. Remake of his old song. But it doesn't matter if it's a cover, does it? Probably 1/2 the songs we hear are covers. Great tune. More ARS, please.
After Classic IV broke up, a couple of the band members formed Atlanta Rhythm Section and in 1979 they remade their on song.
It's an amazing song with amazing solos...RIP Ronnie Hammond, lead singer...

I like this version much better than the original. The musicianship is better and it doesn’t drag like the original
Nice choice! "So Into You" is also a good one from them.
I saw them play this on the beach in Pompano Beach Fla a few years ago. The old guys can still bring it.
Remember this coming out on the radio when I was a kid. Awesome stuff!
Terrific remake of 1967 Classics IV #2 hit song 🎊ARS formed in 1970 and includes 2 members from CIV 🎊 Great reaction Enoma 🍹🍷

This is a cover of the original SPOOKY. I prefer the original version, with the saxophone and Dennis Yost singing.
