Excellent. We're doing Spooky at a company meeting in 8 days and this video you've done is great! Thank you so much, and for the scale and chord chart!
That is great lesson but the credit was given to Dusty Springfield & ARS instead of the original written & performed by saxophonist Mike Sharpe and made and famous by the Classics IV ! They also had the hit the following year called Stormy which was similar to Spooky!
Always a pleasure Jon. Thanks for all your time and effort. I hope TH-cam is treating you well. You have a good insight into what I want to learn and you’re always three steps ahead of me!

I play these 2 as a medley- Stormy into Spooky. And I also included some styling similar to Santana and Atlanta Rhythm 😊
Atlanta Rythm Section evolved from the Classic IV. Almost the same band except for 1 or 2 members.
@@bradgriffith4231I did not know that....I sound like Walter from The Big Lebowski lol

The original of Spooky is by Dennis Yost & The Classics IV. As good as the ARS, has a very good sax solo on it, it's well worth checking out.
Well done Jon,very thorough.👍
Nice job on this lesson Jon.
Awesome. Love these songs with the minor 7s and 13s. Great stuff.
You've got great style. You must make people around you, very happy!
Excellent lesson
Nice. Best I’ve seen
Very easy and helpful. Thanks 😊
Great lesson John. Would you consider doing a lesson on the solo of Spooky?
Was just playing this yesterday. Thanks
Great lesson, thanks.
Shouldn't an A13 chord have a 7th as well? Frets 5x567x perhaps?
Yes it should it’s A13 which means yes it’s got to have the flat 7th in it. Your chord in your comment is correct
Love this band can you do lessons on imaginary lover and So into you🎸🎶thanks so much Grant👍

Awesome!! Great lesson!
Great lesson. BTW, why no mention of the Classics Four? Wasn’t that the original version?
Right! Back in the DAY, the Classics4 might have called that ‘A13+? as an A6th😊
What model tele is that Jon?
Question- what would you use to solo over this great tune? D major scale?
E min pentatonic
Great lesson. Question - is that a Nashville Tele? What is the bridge PUP? Thanks.
sweet tele
I liked your video on Spooky but it's streaming very badly.
