We're no strangers to driving death traps, so we asked real mechanics to tell us how unsafe these janky cars really are.
Huge thanks to our experts!

Sandro is almost always down to ride with the boys and that’s why we love him
You can tell he’s seen a thing or two bc that mf doesn’t bat an eye at ANYTHING 😂 everybody needs a homie like Sandro
for the boiss
The mad lad
Sandro is about making money; listen to his answers. 2 minutes of BS commercials. Lol down with the boys, to make money off them
Yet again just doing it for money.
Sandro needs to be a permanent member of the crew. Nothing against the others ofc
Working for him must be great, he seems like a right laugh.
He has a workshop to run...
he the reason im here
Dude doesn’t fear death, he laughs in its face…
He dope but Angelina is where it's at
I love the contrast of Angelia saying “yeah fuck no I would never ride this” and Sandro is like “You know what, it’s the boys, who cares about some frame rust. I’d ride”
Everytime he says, "I'm down" 😂
@@secret5. But when he doesn't you know it' really fucked up haha
Sandro is my favorite guest mechanic, he’s always down for the boys , and he always down to ride a death trap lmao
He's like f it let's see what happens. Think he wants to laugh at them when it falls apart 😂
😂😂😂
I'd definitely burn a blunt, and go ride in a death trap with Sandro.
If Angelina and Sandro are in it you know it's gonna be good.
well said!!!!!
First thing I thought too! They are both so well suited for this series!
💯
They’re my two favorites, although the older dude who kinda looks like Machete is awesome too
@@Sniperboy5551 Homeboy Paul!
this show has a very simple yet effective pattern. Everyone laughs at the fail, then Angelina "That's unsafe, don't do that" , then Sandro "That's unsafe, I've done it before" XD I love it
Right? 😂
Too accurate!
All I see is people who couldn't build a kit car pretending to be mechanics.

@@tipsysmichigander6483Every comment section has one. Tell me more, oh great gear guru
Angelina is a brilliant mechanic and completely adorable. Sandro is a brilliant mechanic and certifiably insane. You know it's going to be a great video when they are on. Love 'em both!
Simp
So true
For real, man😊
“Sir it’s a Chrysler 200, it’s not a luxury car.” Had me dying!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Sandro just seems like the kinda guy you'd hang out with on the weekends, having a few drinks and working on some deathtrap of a car.
And saying before the test run, “Hold my beer…”
I would love to be cool enough to hang with Sandro 😅
@@ghostbullet85just for Sandro I would say 'for the boys'
Roll with Sandro and make something look like a deathtrap but it's actually a solid ride.
It seems that as long as it has functional brakes, Sandro is down to ride regardless of anything else.
I honestly love it when Angelina and Sandro are on, and really all of your guests. But Angelina and Sandro are both like the cousins we don't actually have. Sandro's the cousin who'll take those chances and will gladly show you how to rig up a dry ice bomb, but will only watch you do it because he actually knows how dumb and dangerous it is. Angelina is like the smarter cousin who's experienced quite a bit and isn't afraid to tell us, "That will end poorly and you really don't want to be paying for that for 15 years while it's broken. I'm not saying one's better than the other, they're just like that part of an extended family. Angelina's gonna take you off-roading, camping, or whatever, but will absolutely tell you when you're doing something stupid, Sandro is gonna tell you how to do something stupid, tell you it's stupid, provide you with stuff to do said stupid thing, but he'll make you learn first hand how stupid it actually is. Angelina will stop you from shoving the fork in the electrical socket, Sandro will give you more forks and a car battery to do more experiments with as he stands further back for his own safety. Can't wait for the family reunion.
Except November.
@@michaelabbamondi8892 Preach brother.
Angelina feels like the cousin who goes "don't even think about doing that" when you want to do/learn something stupid.
Sandro feels like the cousin who does stupid things in front of the kids and goes "don't let me catch you doing what I just did"
hahaha! Yes!@@Pedro_del_Rod
This is exactly why I love each of them.
Sandros commitment to riding durty is flawless. Mad respect!
Sandro is literally the best part of this channel. Dude is so fucking chill and I wish his shop was nearby because I would exclusively take my car to him.
Angelina and Sandro both need to be crew chiefs in the next high/low series...they would be epic. Hire dem both guys!!
Epic idea. I’m down to ride with that 😅
This is an absolute stellar idea.
yooooooooooooooooo this is genius
GENIUS!!!
I support this 100%
I love how Angelina stays the teacher all the way through, never getting into the super dangerous rides while Sandro jumps into anything without batting and eye :D
Sandro is fearless!
Sandro was smart enough not to ride with the tesla cart guy! He was doing 170 without a helmet!!!
like how she teaches on her OF
Sandro is For The Boys
But Sandro smiles too hard to believe him...
Sandro and Angelina= perfect balance between logical and lilunatic. Love them on the same video!
Sandro is a real one, he's always down for fun and makes the show so chill
I love the shame on Sandro's face as he continued to be down to ride in worsening death traps lol
It's for the boys.
i just love how u can hear the background people laughing at it.
Sandro definitely got comfortable with the crew , cussing and talking like he dgaf , love it 😂
These two are the best guests. Love them.
3:44 that was a perfectly timed laptop screen flip. Well done, sir.
Sandro's almost total lack of self preservation is so entertaining.
Best comment ever
Look at the teeth. He is a vampire, he doesn't give a fuck :D
Sandro is like "if the other option is walking, I'm down to ride in anything"
Sandro needs to be on the channel more. This guy is just great. Love these.
Lmao my favorite aspect of episodes that have Sandro on is that there's always someone being reasonable and responsible giving the proper answer and Sandro is just like "Hell yeah, that looks fun, gotta do it for the boys 😎" I like Angelina and all the other mechanics y'all bring on but Sandro is my kind of people lmao
Love how Sandro is "down to ride" in damn near anything.
When Sandro say no to a ride you know it’s fucked up.
Sounds more like dude is suicidal
Seriously Angelina and Sandro are absolute gold for this show. Both have perfect energy for this type of content and really showcase well with their style.
Definately
Angelina: "That's unsafe, don't do it."
Sandro: "That's unsafe, make sure the boys are watching!“
As a former owner of death traps like these I'm proud of the parking lot/ side of the road repairs I had to do just to get it back home and cobel it together a little better the next day to keep it going. I have used compression fittings on brake lines to get home. I drove around for months with plywood screwed down to my floorboard so my feet didn't fall through the rust hole. One time when I was on the way home from taking a car to the junk yard, dropped my rear drive shaft. I had to put the back tires of my truck on the car dollie was pulling, use ratchet straps to hold tongue of the dollie up, some barbed wire I cut out of a farmer's fence to hold the drive shaft up and limp it 6 miles home in 4 wheel drive. When i was finally able to aford to buy vehicles that didn't brake down every few months/weeks the guys at my local parts store thought i died because i stop coming in all the time. Bottom line if you're going to be poor and drive a rusted out shitbox you have to be a little creative and have some ingenuity to keep it moving from point A to point B.
Sandro is always there for the boys.
Sandro's out there risking his life for the boys
Sandro is a down ass foo!
Tbh, I just need these two guests they're the best
Absolutely
Angelina and Sandro are my favorites and I like when Paul is in the mix too! I love this channel!
My worst: I had an old Toyota, no clutch, a monster hole in the block, and a string tied to the carburetor for throttle. 🤣
It ran for about a year till syncro shifting dumped the entire transmission onto the road from the block back and died. I left it where it died somewhere in Sacramento.
4:58 "Thats how you learn, you f*ck it all up" Sandro is the best 😂
he can be my life coach
@@aceshigh3122 he is someone you'd be happy to have as a friend/mentor
It took me back to my teenage years when Sandro said he'd be in the backseat holding the fool in the front passenger seat like "I GOT YOU" with that huge grin!
Haha this is just great to watch. Sandro and Angelina are such a treat. Both different examples of awesome energy.
And the other components of the video are great too - the Chrysler 200 joke, the "freakin directors, man" in the ad and his background motions.. just great stuff and looks like a hell of a lot of fun to create
Brake Fade...
In 98 I was working as a chauffeur. This extremely overweight family (everyone was fat) needed to get from Ohio to a hotel in West Virginia for their vacation. There were 10 of them in my 16 passenger limo. Each one of them weighed over 200 lb. We had a second limousine that was a 10 passenger just carrying their luggage. First 3 hours of the trip was great. Then we started getting into West Virginia, deep in the mountains. The limo that I was driving was a 97 and if you didn't know all they basically do when they make a limousine is cut the car and make it longer they don't put in bigger brakes The only thing that they put in bigger is the alternator and springs 😳. Limousines are designed to drive around a city not for cross-country travel and definitely not for driving in the mountains and if you are driving in the mountains having a whole car full of people that weigh as much as a whole car is not a wise thing to do. We started going down this very steep hill. I am not using any gas and we are accelerating rapidly. I touched the brakes and then I let off because I'm a professional driver and I know that you can't just cook your brakes or you have none. With this much weight downshifting is an option but you can blow your transmission. I didn't have much of a choice. I hit the brakes and try to touch and go but as soon as I let off the brakes we would start accelerating rapidly. So I downshifted to second. This helped but the transmission was screaming and oh yeah it is a slow snake curve banking right And then left over the course of two or three miles straight down. As we are going around the curves I am now transmission in 2 in the car is going about 80 mph and the wheels are screaming. I'm still doing touch and go with the brakes to try to maintain control. I've never been so happy to see the bottom of a hill in all my life 😢😁. I started getting brake fade and I had nothing... And you could smell the brakes. We got down to the bottom of the hill and I pulled in the rest stop and told everybody to go use the bathroom and take their time because we were going to be there for the better part of a half hour, to 45 minutes to let the brakes cool down. These people were complete assholes and upset that I was making them wait. I didn't give a damn My job is to pick them up in one piece and drop them off in one piece and I plan on going home at the end of every day. When we pulled into the rest area the other driver said that he could see that my rotors were red hot. If you want to know what it felt like it felt greasy. The brakes weren't squishy It felt like somebody had thrown grease onto the rotors. When they get that hot before you ever get break fade the brake pads will squeeze against the Red Hot metal and it will actually cook the pad and turn it into a vapor which is not a friction surface because it's a gas and you will feel it. Brake fade is the last stage but you don't have brakes before then. I only had two oh s*** moments in 2 years of driving limousines and that was number one on my list. My pucker Factor was at a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10.
You can tell Sandro is just a true car guy who just so happened to become a mechanic, and just like a lot of us has rode in waaaay sketchier rides over the years.
I love Sandro and Angelina, easily the best reactions.
My favorite
I just found this channel and have watched all the Angelina and Sandro episodes. They have such charisma and knowledge. Keep up the great vids 🤘🏽🤘🏽
8:28 I work at a semi truck shop, and we do some f350 and up trucks. I have run into trucks that have lost brakes due to eating through brake pads and the metal backing, and they fall through the gap between caliper and rotor. I have also seen people go to someone cheaper and have forgotten to put in a pad or the hardware for the pad. But those rotors look damn new for it to have eaten through the metal and the pad .
Sandro's responsability goes out the window if it's for the boys 😂😂 gotta love him
sandro’s wisdom of “that’s how you learn. you fuck it up” is so sage
That third clip reminds me of when I helped my buddy JDM swap his ‘95 mr2. We did it in a weekend and we had quite a few bolts left over. One was really big and looked really important lol Needless to say he had a shop look it over after that. Then a couple months later it gets stolen and is never seen again. Luckily this is in like ‘08ish so tuner cars were still very affordable so he wasn’t out that much money. Think he paid $5k and it was super clean, loved the t-tops. Man I wish they’d bring back t-tops so bad!
Side note that was the hardest swap I’ve ever done and it was the engine that is designed to go in the car but it was like wrestling a bear in a very small cave
I lost the retaining spring on the left rear calliper on my Saab, didn’t really think it mattered but a couple months later I lost my pad 😂, luckily I had a spare set and enough tools with me to fix it at the roadside but it taught me a lesson! Never lose your retaining springs 😂
It's great that the fans asked for more videos with just Angelina and Sandro and the channel listened and delivered that.
Glad they've been so successful too!
Probably they had already recorded a bunch of them on one day and they publish them periodically. But I'm sure they'll make more of them, with such good reception.
The grouping Angelina and Nolan is my favorite "team" realistic and safe where as Sandro and anyone else is the true reality of mechanics just being mechanics!
Sandro+James is true Chaotic Neutral.

Angelina & Sandro make my day! The entire team is awesome I look forward to donut 🍩 everyday!
Sandro is “El Primo” we all deserve. If he’s on I’m definitely going to watch multiple times.
I think this works so well because Angelina and Sandro complement each other really well. Angelina has more of a normal-person reaction, and Sandro is always and everywhere DOWN TO RIDE. 😆
Sandro is a real g! Bro is the kinda homie who you want with you at all times. The home is pure hype 😂
This video goes to show why we like Sandro so much 🤣🤣 he’s always down for anything 💀
I love how Sandro is down to ride no matter how sketch it is.

I wanted to say that this ad suddently went SO REAL and I loved the energy of the director who was like "Yay I get to be in the spotlight a bit!"
Sandro is S-tier. Love this guy! The only cars he wouldn't ride in were a car with zero brakes and one where the steering wheel was about to come off. Legend.
Sandro is literally the reason I'm here. My favourite on the channel.
12:15 i had one of those come in with a shattered t case. Had the same problem.. it also took out the diff too because when he drove it it not only rocked up and down but it cocked to the side and crabwalked! He drove it that way for 5 months
The trailblazer platform with the broken upper rear control arms, I've seen it on 2 already, pushing 3 with my current one just starting to snap the upper on the driver's side. The problem is that the fender liner doesn't cover the control arms and grit, salt, sand, gravel and dirt rot the frame out right there via the factory frame holes and the bracket doesn't give clearance to even wash it out. The control arm locks up in the bracket then flexes until it snaps. I'd say it was planned obsolescence, good vehicles but you have to spray those out to maintain them or pull them to clean them out, just buy new arms. Neglected the frame will rot out, I have an example of that.
End note I'm absolutely a fanboy of Angelina. 😂
But yeah there's a few things on those SUVs that are devastating issues but I have 4 of them now lol
Would love to see these two on the donut channel helping with builds! Chemistry on point
That would be awesome for one of the high vs Low vids!
@@heres_jeebus This video made me realize just how Hi-Lo They are as car enthusiasts. They would be awesome for some sort of Junkyard vs Dealership challenge.
Both them needs to be permanent on the channel especially Sandro
They basically are, aren’t they? I think the last two videos had both of them.
@Sniperboy5551 that is true but they had a 3rd guy and he makes a appearance of time to time
Nah. They need their own channel. No... they need a fkn TV SHOW!
You guys should check out heavy machinery videos. I constantly find engineer fails like the other day when I had to cut bolt to remove a starter on a 3 year old forklift and had to cut the replacement bolts because there was not enough room with the OEM bolts
About 10 years ago i drove my used 91 ford probe (mazda 626) from champaign illinois to dallas fort worth in one go. On the way the drivers side rear brake caliper locked up and the heat of the trip caused the pad to fuse to the caliper piston. Leaving dallas. I had to slam on the brakes on the freeway which caused the caliper piston in the drivers rear to shoot out but since it was fused to the brake pad it could no longer go in. I drove that car back to central illinois being careful over two days. When i would stop id turn the car off. Top off the brake fluid then pump the brakes to bleed them so i could get one good stop. If i used that stop before i wanted to id nutral drop and aim for a parking block. I got it home and fixed the brakes but eventually the interference engine got me and it blew up. I loved that car though.
Sandro is great, he knows all these could be a minute from a fireball of death but he gets us, he gets that sometimes it's just for the boys
they should bring these guests to the rest of the donut shows i could totally see them in the next hi low or money pit
Forget Hi-Low how about a DIY emergency roadside hack series with these two in the shop???
Great duo love the content ❤
The brake line one near the end. Been there. Brake line went out on the freeway right as I had to slam em because traffic came to a dead stop. My car wasn't stopping. After that my dad tried tapping/threading with those exact pieces on the line, they didn't work. Had to stop by a store to get fluid after work everyday until the correct part arrived and only took back roads in the meantime. Got the full replacement line that we installed together and it was like it never even happened. Don't cut corners.
Sandro and Angelina are the best 2 mechanics for this series and I hope they stay as a permanent fixture on this channel. They’re both super chill, down to earth, know what they’re talking about and just over all really good people/mechanics. Really hope they stay and at the very least keep Sandro around “ FOR THE BOYS”!!!😂😂😂
2:00 They didn’t even know a common problem with the early 2000’s Chevys having rotted and snapped frames, having them say it was a rear end collision that caused it told me all I need to know, they can’t have too much experience as mechanics. They are good actors though.

@@jaredchampagne2752yeah, the replaced tail gate is a pretty good sign that there's a good chance it was a rear end collision. Maybe, they know their stuff.
@@kragoth1458 No not at all. Almost every early 2000’s Chevy that is rusted, has a replaced tailgate from a junkyard because the bottom rots out and the linkage stops working.
The truck literally has no bedsides left from rot and rust. There’s a 100% chance the frame snapped from rust.
Sandro knows the odds of survival on all these are close to 95%
I'd make that deal
That may be so for this video, but his requirements of are 51%.
1:36 I can tell that was in Chicago. The I94 signs and the sides of the expressway gave it away. I grew up next to I94, where it runs through the northwest side of Chicago. I can almost always tell when a viral video was recorded in Chicago. The city just has a look to it that I can always recognize.
Got to know Sandro a bit more in this one and he cool as hell. Angelina is like some dream come true. Keep it up Donut!
Love it when Angelina and Sandro are in these videos!
Sandro seems like he’s down for any questionable cars as long as it give him a good story
These two just deserve to be on the donut staff they are excellent and fit in so well!
I used to have a ford tempo with no brakes. But it had a manual transmission so I didn’t really need them I used the engine and clutch to slow down and stop. Did the same thing on a Peter built 379 and it never failed.
Im so glad Sandro and Angelina are now permanent ❤❤❤
Sandro is THE guy. What a gem they found in him!
I love that they leaned into the "for the boys" line. I wish Miranda's shop or donut would make a shirt with thT on it
I got to work on a very old race car and it used mercury for brake fluid specifically to reduce the effect of boiling brake fluid. Was interesting when the guy asked if we could get mercury for the brake lines.
Sandro needs his own show. That man is old school cool.
These two guests are the BEST!! I'll watch every episode of any show that they're in. I'd love to see Angelina in the "if you can fix it you can keep it" shows and Sandro helping with low-car projects.
Subscribed because of Sandro and Angelina. Entertaining and informative.
That 2nd 200 with the brake line had a low pressure compression fitting on it. Like what’s used for airlines or water lines. Only good for a couple hundred PSI.
They make proper repair fittings for hard brake lines. But, it typically requires flaring the line.
I see Sandro, I smash the thumbnail! I am a simple man.
