    Fantastic work on the patrol car and it's nice to see the police officers have a booster seat and can now see the road 👍🏻

    Great job. Must have been so satisfying to restore this. Love that you recreated the box.

      Thank you Scott. It was, very much so. I'm trying to do more cartons going forward, I was hoping the image file I purchased would help, but 80% of the images are completely useless so I've been digitally editing them myself.

    Very good, PB 👍 and the faithful box reproduction. And the return of the missing jazz piano music eventually, at the end ☺️

      Thank you Paul! I'm sorry about the lack of music, if I have that one going the whole video it gets a bit repetitive and sometimes even the allegedly 'royalty free' music becomes a problem if videos reach a certain number of views, it's something I have to look into more.

      Thank you David! I enjoyed how I managed not to completely destroy it by accident, that's how it usually goes for me.

      Graham, I tried to remember, and I kept it down to a couple of $2.00 purchases, but I have a problem lol. I did get some spares I needed though. I've posted off your Holden Bikes this week to Brighton as requested 😊

      Thanks Martin! I like your technique better, I just have to get myself a better blowtorch or something. I reckon 70-80% of the images on those discs are complete trash, either pi** poor 'restorations' or sh** scans of terrible boxes and is tantamount to a scam really.

Morningside woulda bummed you out again, it was overfilled (again) and half of it was scalper city too. Sorry for the late reply too.

    Great restoration. I’ve got more projects than I can contemplate achieving but still I buy more. I’ve just bought two more of my favourite ever casting, which means I now have four of that particular model to do 🤦‍♂️

      Thanks Andrew. I don't know what it is. I'm the same, I have more projects and potential projects than there is time left on earth to do, and yet I too keep buying more. I sold off some of my model kit stash as I could never do them all, and then went to the Hobby Expo with the cash and got more. SEND HELP 🤣

      Hi Asko, sorry for the late reply. Thank you, and yes it was a bit, but I really enjoy doing the carton designs. Cutting them out and putting them together is a pain though. Having had more time to go through the files I bought, I'd say 80% of them are useless trash unfortunately.

    Nice one PB 👌🏻👏🏻👍🏻 As you say, a relatively simple one now and then is good for the mojo...... She looks lovely.
    When my brother and I were nippers, we used to play cowboys and indians. We'd use the arms of the sofa as our horses with the school satchels for their heads and reins and we'd ride round saving Eltham, London, SE9 from the menace of a band of renegade indians and their leader.......Humber Hawk 🤣😂
    Lost count of the number of times that varmint shot me from my horse and Ron had to give me a 'backie' until it was safe to dig the arrow out.
    Nearly 60 years or so ago now........🤦🏼‍♂️ I'm still playing with cars though 😊

    well, we approve, too. :) looks nice and shiny and fast enough for another pursue. :)
    I hear you with the repro parts. I have watched one restorer get a repro hood made of a tin metal so soft you could tear it apart like cardstock... and it's not like these things are cheap, either. but if it's like this one can do them by oneself. all you need is moulding silicone and some patience... I think.

    • @PBsRetroRestorations
      @PBsRetroRestorations  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you. I get jack of paying good money for substandard parts, the worst one I got was a Corgi Impala chassis which was so bad I ended up cutting it up to repair what was left of the original. When I sent a message to the seller it was suggested I heat it up to make it fit. Anyway...... I try and 3D print them now where I can.

      @@PBsRetroRestorations aw man, that's horrible! as well as their reply... they even serious?
      my plan is also to grab a 3D printer one day and make all the parts for my beloved SIKU and Majorette that are needed, and maybe also conversion kits? also the various inserted taillights and headlights on old SIKUs need replacements. there was the idea of casting them in a hard tin alloy, but maybe rather not. I guess it needs more than that to get them right.

    Young Padawan, you did some pretty nice work on this Humber Hawk. If you get one of those stainless steel drinking straws and cut it in half with your Dremel (Zzzzzz-zzzzzzzz). Then cut some teeth on one end, with your Dremel (Zzzzzzz-zzzzzzz), you have a nice tool for removing windscreens. Now comes the, Did You Know about this Humber Hawk Police Car? PC 49 stories began in the 1940s as a radio show on the BBC. They started making movies soon after.th-cam.com/video/H90fFhN_ILs/w-d-xo.html So when you look on the registration plates, now you know.

    • @PBsRetroRestorations
      @PBsRetroRestorations  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Gerry, that's a great idea, and despite saying I wasn't buying anymore cars, I may or may not have done just that and I'm going to need that idea to remove the screens. And no I did not know that, was PC 49 a blanket plate applied to all patrol cars, or specific to the show/movie? Wondering if it was a canny bit of marketing or just how patrol cars were.
