Your detail painting really is second to none Martin. Another great restoration. 👏👍
Thanks for the kind words it's really appreciated my friend 👍
That was very nice of you to let the lady have great memories of her husband car while courting in there younger years.
You better look out, the lady might bring you and your wife some cookies and cakes. 😊
Great job Martin
Cookies now your talking 🤣🤣 thanks for your support my friend
Absolutely love the perfect way the screen releases with your cunning soldering iron attachment! So smoothly done! Neat metal work on the shell too - takes patience and a practiced eye, so no need to under-rate that skill. Very clean and neat. It would be worth the noise to see you working a bent casting, Martin!
I don't mind a blemish or two on a casting, actually, so your repair is nicely sensitive. What a good result - I hope your neighbour appreciated such a sensitive resto! Superb detailing, Martin! And I am glad to see I am not the only one licking cocktail sticks!
Result as sweet as a nut!
Cheers fraser, it's part of the fun practice for when I do a cod3 or 4 or even 5 🤣🤣 all the best Martin
Martin what nice thing to do for the lady who takes in your parcels. Great restoration and attention to detail.😊
Thanks Austin she is really happy with it 😊
What a beauty! Looks just right; brilliant job 👏🏻👍🏻👌🏻
Funnily enough, our neighbour, back in the early to mid 60s, came home one day with a black Classic..... the four door, as you know. I was just a young shaver and me and all the local kids just came and stood staring at it. It looked like a spaceship to us. For days, kids would just come to stand near it and stare........
Thanks very much, the classic was a really nice car for its time .
All the best Martin
That's absolutely beautiful . Your detailing really brings the car to life. Best wishes.

Enjoyed watching the restoration of the Capri. Was always a fan of the Ford Classic and the Capri as a youngster stylish for their time. Remember in my first job in a fruit warehouse in the 1970s there was a Capri like the model up in the racking at the back of the warehouse. Not sure what happened to it assumed it was kept to be restored.
That's an interesting story it would be worth a bomb now ,mind you it's a strange thing to have stored up in the racking .
Glad you liked it my friend 👍
Another fabulous restoration Martin, your detailing really brings the car to life. Best wishes. Peter.

Nice looking Ford Martin, you sure did a great job on getting the nicks out of the body lines as well as straightening out the body from imperfections 👍, as always nice detailing it makes the car stand out.👍,the car surely looks good in the street diorama ,(very well done scene )👍 very nice tribute for your neighbors husband 👍😉. My friend you take care, stay healthy & see ya on your next restoration. 👋😎🚗🚒🚙
Thanks very much Jeff it was worse then I first thought, but we got it done and she really likes it .so it's a win win all the best Martin
Beautiful restoration again, looks great in that colour, love the detailing too looks very realistic and what a lovely gesture to your neighbour, I bet she’s made up with the model👍👍👍😊 Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸🐸
Cheers nick ,yes she loves it so iam happy, glad you liked it my friend.
All the best Martin 👍
Hi Martin great job on the paint nice gloss on it. I saw one of these for sale in a car book once in the 90s they wanted $2,000 Australian for it. It would be worth a fortune now. Some of the old Holden and Ford cars are up as high as 100,000 150,000 dollars here now absolutely crazy considering you could pick them up for a few thousand in the 80s and 90s. If only I had a crystal ball back then.😂😂🤣🤣Catch you on the next one mate.👍🏻
Hi Geoff, glad you liked it my friend very pricy now even for a bad one ,I remember a few years back when I used to restore river cruisers one of my boats had the engine out of one of those capris marnized of course and this chap was desperately trying to get me to sell the engine to him I said buy the whole boat and its yours ,he wasn't impressed 😀.
All the best Martin
Fantastic job Martin ,I think the white is really good for this Capri ,I love the details, cheers Laz ,nice gesture to your neighbour lady
Cheers laz
Really like this one Martin my dad had the Ford classic in the light blue , the old capri looked really good in the white picking out the bit below main grill in the black before chroming the stars was a good touch thoroughly liked watching this one mate as always

The classic was a very nice car for its time the Capri was a bit small for a family car big boot though.
All the best Martin
Love it Martin excellent job as always fantastic my friend 👏
Cheers luke much appreciated my friend
Another super restoration there Martin, well done
Cheers Kevin
Hi Martin this looks amazing. Better than the classic we think as the fixed bonnet makes it look nicer, i think i put one of these on my Xmas list. All the best from Ian b & family.
Cheers Ian, I agree it looks better with a fixed bonnet iam glad you liked it ,and best wishes to you and the girls
Great work on a nice looking car ❤ ❤

A nice thing to do Martin for your neighbour .
Thanks very much she has helped me a lot by taking in my parcels so it's the least I could do .
All the best Martin
Thanks for another great resto Martin your neighbour across the road will love it,... You must have read my mind I was wondering about the diarama I thought you may have done one for the bus which was excellent aswell by the way nice colours to, thought you may have had it at the TRAIN station (hint hint) but the garage is just fine liked the red cortina in the shadows ,... ok thanks again for a great resto ....all the best👍👍
Cheers Gregory, now the train station that's an idea 💡, unfortunately the bus was to big for the garage diorama. Glad you liked it my friend All the best Martin
nicely done, looks great in white. :) I've seen one at a car meet here long ago, in Tennis Skirt White and Blush red. :) the trim gives many versions for a two-tone. but single-colour looks legit too. :)
couldn't get an americanier european car back when, except maybe the NSU Spider, a blatant and bold copy of the 1955 Ford Thunderbird... and why not, if you steal, steal from the best. ;)
what a nice gift for the lady who does you such favours. :)
Cheers Lothar, I bet that looked nice in those colours, it certainly wasn't a big car but very smart looking with a large boot the classic was more of the family car ,typical American design with the flared back wings .
All the best Martin
Beautiful restoration Martin, Cheers

Great job Martin 👍🏻
Thanks Mark much appreciated my friend 👍
@@martindaredare you're welcome 😊
A nice job - and I like what you've done with the grill. Yes, not a good casting. But would all of those castings be like that? I was wondering if this casting was just a one-off, like it slipped in the machine or something. Looks very precise in white anyway, I think cars from that era were pastel shades to mimic the cars that were coming out of America at the time - a reaction to the post-war colours and more young people getting their license.
Cheers marty, the old English white was a popular colour back then and I agree about the pastel colours.
The casting mould could have done with a clean out I dare say.
All the best Martin
great share
Thanks very much glad you enjoyed this one
lovely!
Cheers Phil much appreciated my friend 👍
shame about the crack in the back window! Nice little gift for the lady, hope she likes it!
Yes it was a pity about the crack but I will get a new one so all is not lost .
All the best Martin
Hmm,you want to be careful,I painted a dwarf warrior for my then girl friend 40 years ago and now we've been married for 35 years and she thinks I still waste money on figures.lovely restoration of a period classic.
🤣🤣 I know exactly what you mean
I tell my Mrs I could aways go down the pub and betting shop instead 🤣🤣 all the best Martin
I would like to do one in two tone colors, right between the two body lines
Yeah this started out as a 2 tone but had to change it for my neighbour.
I have another one so it will be 2 tone ,all the best Martin
Hi Martin , didn't watch this yesterday . You cost me a fortune , ,just put a bid on one of these . What state this was in when you got it but you brought it back . Lovely job as always especially how you did the stars . My neighbour had one of these in metallic maroon in the early 60s .
🤣🤣 what else you gonna speed your money 💰 on 🤣 glad you like it Ford classic in January.
All the best Martin
