This journal was commissioned when the lady saw my Rose Journal video.
It was nice to make this journal again as there were so many elements in it that I enjoyed making the first time around and because I try to do different things in each journal I make you sometimes forget about some of the embellishments you made or how I decorated particular pages.
I hope you enjoy this flip through and that you find inspiration in it.

I really like the effect it gives to leave the part of the page that held the paper to the orrigional notebook. Very clever !!

Stunning!! I have the worst time stamping also. I have my crafting area in garage. The other day I noticed my old, sad looking rubber garden kneeling pad. I cut it in half and used it under a page while stamping and it really helped me. Lol!
Thanks Jeanne :) Now thats called using your initiative lol I use the fun foam - that seems to help a bit but i rather press too hard and smudge or not enough and half the image is missing lol .... Ill stick to stencilling i think ;) xx
I used the fun foam with the same results you mentioned. I thought about Tim Holtz's new toy but would rather spend on something else. I just started stenciling and I love it but need to wear gloves I stained a couple of my fingers last night and it looks like some serious nicotine fingers Ewww! ha!

Stunning Journal, Carol. Love how You wrapped those doilies around the envelopes & hung the hearts with that green ribbon. I've got those doilies. They look beautiful in this. Love everything about this, to be honest. That pull out booklet is fabulous! Really interesting Journal, so many eye catching & creative things. TFS

Wow wow I sooo love this journal. I'm baby newbie to this and what to learn to make them as pretty as yours. I live in new Zealand and its so hard to get things here. I'm a stay at home mum of a 18 year old servally handicapped girl. So this is something I'm hoping to do for me. Any help you can offer I'd be so thankful

What do you attach your tucks and pockets with? Double sided tape or a specific glue? Thank you so much! They are all so gorgeous!
Hi and Thanks for your comment :) I rarely use double sided tape. I tend to steer more towards my pva tacky glue (I live in the UK and use the glue from Hobbycraft) I have some of their old bottles that have the finer nozzle where as their newer bottles are fatter and have a more cumbersome nozzle. They give me a nice fine line of glue. Hope that helps :)

Where do you get buttons with a hole in the middle?

>>>>>>>> OK Nancy Im back. If it is the button that is at about 5 mins ( the cream button??) then it is a 2 holed button I used a brad and I placed the brad prongs through each hole of the button. Hope that helps :) x

I just don't understand why this is called a junk journal... I don't see a bit of junk in it. I thought junk journals were supposed to be made of things around the house... I must have missed something.
Sherry Snow you didn’t miss anything at all Sherry. It’s just a general term. I’m not hung up on a name and I now prefer to call my “Junk Journals” Journals anyway as the craft has evolved.
