You actually see Dylan smile, that's pretty rare.
The words and meaning in Dylan's songs is the Soundtrack to my life.
Leider nuschelt er noch schlimmer als Udo Lindenberg. Verstehe kaum was.
Its all part of his act. Bob Dylan is a character he plays. Robert Allen Zimmerman is him in real life. Thats what makes him so cool, he dosent like you and he dont care that you like him
Yesss
Check out the video with Dylan playing “Like a Rolling Stone” with the Rolling Stones, he actually laughs near the end when singing a part with Mick Jagger, love it 😊
yeah, I noticed that and commented that the smiles are for real on this one. There's quite a lot for those guys to be smiling about, I'd say. What astonishing mythic lives some rare people enjoy.
These people write history when they play. It certainly isn't the babble of politicians. The indelible stuff is written in the book of soul, whatever that means.
Never have and likely never will see Bob Dylan smiling so much.......thoroughly enjoying himself while he jams with Clapton !!
This is a great one. Dylan doesn't show up to pick up a little thing like a Nobel Prize but you bet he'll be there to do a gig with EC. Clapton can't be upstaged except maybe for this guy. The two greatest living artists in their chosen idioms. All the smiles are for real here. Great thing this.
Due miti!!
My two favs.
This website has a few videos of Clapton also being upstaged by George Harrison. But you're doing pretty well as a musician if those are the only people who can upstage you.
And the trickiest version of Crossroads I've ever heard. Most everyone slipping & sliding, but managing to hold the wheels on the road & enjoying themselves. A real accomplishment & one in which Bob is well practiced, as we've seen in recent years.
Only those well accomplished musicians can maintain such a challenge.
Dylan has his priorities straight, and can smell BS as far as from across the ocean.
Never saw Bob enjoy himself so much!
I agree
I heard Dylan in concert at MSG in November, 2001, only about 2 months after 9/11. The place was wall-to-wall sound. He did three encores, and we still didn't want to let him go. He said that he'd written a lot of the songs he was going to sing when he lived in NYC, and nobody had to doubt what that town meant to him. I thought the audience was going to blow the roof right off that place.
He actually smiled a couple of times....amazing
THAT IS ONE OF GREATEST THINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN! Bob genuinely looks like he's enjoying himself. Maybe thanks to Eric and his amazing band? Nice!
Bob is doing what he LOVES to do - PLAY MUSIC!! And, he's playing with some of the best of the best of the best. Why wouldn't he be smiling? I sure as heck would be!
WOW 😳 Two living legends, each one a legend in their own write performing two classic songs - pure Dylan and Clapton together -YES🎤🎸🎶😀 - Steve G.
I love to see him walk out on stage like that!! It's his style, a style that belongs only to him. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
This song with Bob and Eric is a great way to start the morning with a cup of coffee ❤🎸🎶🎵🎶
Good morning!
Bob Dylan is a once in the history of the word talent Enjoy him while he's still here.
Yep he will Live on like Shakespeare.
I've been enjoying him since 1963, when my local radio station was playing "Blowin' in the Wind" pretty much all the time...
Your comment is too obscure to fathom. A better debate, who on #Earth is #EricClapton ?? I've also heard of Bob Dylan. He wrote one good song (maybe 2) back in the #1980s or early nineties.
You can listen to it here, but I think Bob and Eric's earlier one was miles better.

Oh que oui !!
What a great performance all round. 😂And the trickiest version of Crossroads I've ever heard. Most everyone slipping & sliding, but managing to hold the wheels on the road & enjoying themselves. A real accomplishment & one in which Bob is well practiced, as we've seen in recent years.

Don't think I'll ever get tired of watching and hearing this show !!! What a thrill...♡♤◇♧
Easily one of favorite Dylan clips....he is enjoying it!
Not only the incomparable Steve Gadd on drums but Andy Fairweather Lowe on rhythm guitar to complete a great lineup.
Don't forget Nathan East on bass!
I have this DVD, 2 masters at work with just the best backing band smoking hot just wish it was Blu ray for that extra clarity, the smiles on everyone's face. Fantastic.
@@krissgennrich8988 Don't forget the ubiquitous show-off comment 🙂
Can't remember ever seeing Dylan so happy. Love seeing the playoff between him and Clapton.
100% agree
The magnificent Andy Fairweather Low doing all the great guitar fills during the vocals.
A perfect example of happiness. Blessed!
Electric Dylan and the Man Clapton.
A beautiful combo.
Two great Music Legends Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton. Love from a fan of yours Adam ❤❤❤😊.
Great rendition of Don't Think Twice.
They sound as great as they look !!! What An Outstanding Performance - WOW !!!
Beautiful ❤
It is so nice to see how comfortable and relaxed they are playing music together. They seem to be enjoying all about ,it's big and little picture so much. This roadhouse blues of "Crossroads" is very swanky with it's piano razzle dazzle. I really enjoyed this.
Thank you!!!!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching
Timeless lyrics, his voice is so lovely
So calm
Hearing him sing always melt the heart
One of my favorite songs and artist
What do you admire most about Bob?
Dylan is rocking out like he's doing rock n roll in his prime lol. Just makes me laugh out loud it is so good.
Love their matching guitars!!! And love seeing Bob so animated and happy!! All I need is this
❤❤
Just watching Bob smiling when he is playing someone's else's song brings happiness. It must be a heavy burden being Dylan and having to play his 60's classics. They were so good and so deep that even he must have found it hard to take credit for them. Some of these songs are so engrained in the 60's and the tumult of that decade, that it's hard to separate the person from the myth that those songs and lyrics created.
That is Bob's song ,he wrote it. I think off the free wheeling Bob Dylan
from 60's. Look it up. He has wrote so many songs that people sing of his. Long catalog. Since the 50's. Both songs.
It was crazy times in 60's but at least I did not have to hear people say "you are using the wrong pronoun". The GEEKIE world today of WOKE and bullshit.
😘 & like
Just a wonderful piece of music by masters.
See the comment above the comment above this one to verify the veracity of this comment (I mean the comment above, not this one)
So great to see Dylan smile.
Just a couple of the boys getting together for a little jam…
WOW!
I must have commented on another TH-cam video of the same performance. Priceless instrumental duet with Eric Clapton. The more videos I watch I've learned that Bob smiled in many of them when he was doing duets with his very talented musician friends.
This is the place where you stand in front of a great band and understand that the supporting musician's are DEFINED...
Crossroads. Quel régal. Tout le monde est au top
Que admiración sienten el.uno.por el otro ,q dos musicazos
My favorite Bob Dylan song 🎵🎤🥁🎸🎹
My favorite song! Great job guys.
SWEET! History in the making, two TOP artists come together! Notice how their guitars look like the same make. And I've NEVER seen Dylan smile so much, never mind even Crack a smile!-!! Speaks freakin VOLUMES! TURN IT UP!!!!
Agree on the smile!
@@ClevelandLiveMusic dylan, only man I know who can wear a satin shirt, reg. tie w/ a cowboy jacket, seemingly "jog" pants, & fancy boots! Everything about him is original and fluid. Such a statement. Love 'im, always will. And Clapton put me on my road to freedom w/ Love comes over you and me. Both of them life inspirering.
Hello James. Is there something you want to say today? How old are you? Are you shy?????
BOB AND ERIC! TWO GREATS GREATS MASTERS OF GUITAR FOREVER AND EVER! !!! BLESSINGS AND LOVE. ..😇😍😍😻😻💪💪👂👂👄👄❤❤💝👍✌☝👏👏👏👐👐👑👑🎸🎸🎶🎵🎤🍸🍸🌻🌻🌻🌈🌎🏆🏆💎💎💌💌🔝🔱🔱

So good.
Im pretty sure this is how We re supposed to Celebrate Music.....This just flows with everything n everybody.....around and around and around...I dont know if i ve ever seen or felt anything quite like this one.....theres somethin happenin here......what it is aint exactly clear.....
The backing bands never get much credit, they are outstanding musicians...
Nathan East on bass , think it is Steve Gadd on drums
This is very true friend....and they re a huge part in the Music.....its them too.....and then the rest of Us.....its like a Good Virus!!!.....very very contagious stuff
They’re all very fine musicians. Steve Gadd, Nathan East and up to the singer. All refined performers.
it is unfortunate but every lead singer needs back up musicians as talented and hard working lead. and when a lead acknowledges their back up support it shows both lead and backup are humble and priceless.
true
I love this video and get the biggest kick out of point 2:15 min when Nathan East makes eye contact with EC, and you just know that they are just loving the stage character fo Bob Dylan at that moment.
I have rarely seen Bob so happy
I kinda think he smiles to Eric saying "can you believe this shit"?
Geeez, did Bobby actually crack a smile briefly once or twice? ...and he's become a respectable lead guitar player over the years, which I suppose is no surprise considering the number of years he's been playing.
Why should he smile? as a social critic, that would defeat the point of them lyrics.
that's l Clapton lol
all clapton lol
Love it
This is Magic, two of the best
Não tenho palavras!
He seems to have a spellbinding effect on whoever he's playing with.
Good old Bob , good old happy Bob :)
Tempos Que não volta já mais.
Dylan and Clapton voices blend well together.
Two of my favorites!
Wow! I don't think I've seen any footage from this before.
I do not think it was shown many times
Everybody seen ‘Shadow Land’. It’s fantastic.& another hit Album out Rough & Rowdy ways. Still relevant still on top of his game.80 & going strong. Unbelievable
how can you tell the dancer from the dance ".....w.b. yeats [poet ] .......mystical , enchanting , raged perfection from two who have been to the belly of the beast . , and brought back its soul . amazingly wonderful .
I love this video, so rich all around
immense

OK first off Dylan is at the top of the Rock Pile. I've seen a lot of Dylan video's and never saw him has happy playing as he is here. As far as Clapton he is like "I can't believe I'm jamming with Dylan" smile and look on his face. That's really saying something. Of course they sound amazing!
6:05 Dylan smiling
E' una rarità!!!
