@@ClevelandLiveMusic Uh, check out the Last Waltz, he had a pretty damn good time with Robbie and the Band. Also kicked ass big time at the Bangla Desh concert. Let's face it, the man is the living legend!
Its all part of his act. Bob Dylan is a character he plays. Robert Allen Zimmerman is him in real life. Thats what makes him so cool, he dosent like you and he dont care that you like him
Check out the video with Dylan playing “Like a Rolling Stone” with the Rolling Stones, he actually laughs near the end when singing a part with Mick Jagger, love it 😊
yeah, I noticed that and commented that the smiles are for real on this one. There's quite a lot for those guys to be smiling about, I'd say. What astonishing mythic lives some rare people enjoy. These people write history when they play. It certainly isn't the babble of politicians. The indelible stuff is written in the book of soul, whatever that means.
This is a great one. Dylan doesn't show up to pick up a little thing like a Nobel Prize but you bet he'll be there to do a gig with EC. Clapton can't be upstaged except maybe for this guy. The two greatest living artists in their chosen idioms. All the smiles are for real here. Great thing this.
This website has a few videos of Clapton also being upstaged by George Harrison. But you're doing pretty well as a musician if those are the only people who can upstage you.
And the trickiest version of Crossroads I've ever heard. Most everyone slipping & sliding, but managing to hold the wheels on the road & enjoying themselves. A real accomplishment & one in which Bob is well practiced, as we've seen in recent years. Only those well accomplished musicians can maintain such a challenge.
Your comment is too obscure to fathom. A better debate, who on #Earth is #EricClapton ?? I've also heard of Bob Dylan. He wrote one good song (maybe 2) back in the #1980s or early nineties. You can listen to it here, but I think Bob and Eric's earlier one was miles better. th-cam.com/video/kzzCFlMTZGU/w-d-xo.html
I heard Dylan in concert at MSG in November, 2001, only about 2 months after 9/11. The place was wall-to-wall sound. He did three encores, and we still didn't want to let him go. He said that he'd written a lot of the songs he was going to sing when he lived in NYC, and nobody had to doubt what that town meant to him. I thought the audience was going to blow the roof right off that place.
I have this DVD, 2 masters at work with just the best backing band smoking hot just wish it was Blu ray for that extra clarity, the smiles on everyone's face. Fantastic.
Bob is doing what he LOVES to do - PLAY MUSIC!! And, he's playing with some of the best of the best of the best. Why wouldn't he be smiling? I sure as heck would be!
What a great performance all round. 😂And the trickiest version of Crossroads I've ever heard. Most everyone slipping & sliding, but managing to hold the wheels on the road & enjoying themselves. A real accomplishment & one in which Bob is well practiced, as we've seen in recent years. Only those well accomplished musicians can maintain such a challenge.
Just watching Bob smiling when he is playing someone's else's song brings happiness. It must be a heavy burden being Dylan and having to play his 60's classics. They were so good and so deep that even he must have found it hard to take credit for them. Some of these songs are so engrained in the 60's and the tumult of that decade, that it's hard to separate the person from the myth that those songs and lyrics created.
That is Bob's song ,he wrote it. I think off the free wheeling Bob Dylan from 60's. Look it up. He has wrote so many songs that people sing of his. Long catalog. Since the 50's. Both songs.
It was crazy times in 60's but at least I did not have to hear people say "you are using the wrong pronoun". The GEEKIE world today of WOKE and bullshit.
SWEET! History in the making, two TOP artists come together! Notice how their guitars look like the same make. And I've NEVER seen Dylan smile so much, never mind even Crack a smile!-!! Speaks freakin VOLUMES! TURN IT UP!!!!
@@ClevelandLiveMusic dylan, only man I know who can wear a satin shirt, reg. tie w/ a cowboy jacket, seemingly "jog" pants, & fancy boots! Everything about him is original and fluid. Such a statement. Love 'im, always will. And Clapton put me on my road to freedom w/ Love comes over you and me. Both of them life inspirering.
I love this video and get the biggest kick out of point 2:15 min when Nathan East makes eye contact with EC, and you just know that they are just loving the stage character fo Bob Dylan at that moment.
It is so nice to see how comfortable and relaxed they are playing music together. They seem to be enjoying all about ,it's big and little picture so much. This roadhouse blues of "Crossroads" is very swanky with it's piano razzle dazzle. I really enjoyed this.
Everybody seen ‘Shadow Land’. It’s fantastic.& another hit Album out Rough & Rowdy ways. Still relevant still on top of his game.80 & going strong. Unbelievable
I must have commented on another TH-cam video of the same performance. Priceless instrumental duet with Eric Clapton. The more videos I watch I've learned that Bob smiled in many of them when he was doing duets with his very talented musician friends.

OK first off Dylan is at the top of the Rock Pile. I've seen a lot of Dylan video's and never saw him has happy playing as he is here. As far as Clapton he is like "I can't believe I'm jamming with Dylan" smile and look on his face. That's really saying something. Of course they sound amazing!

Bob Dylan is a once in the history of the word talent Enjoy him while he's still here.
Yep he will Live on like Shakespeare.
I've been enjoying him since 1963, when my local radio station was playing "Blowin' in the Wind" pretty much all the time...
