Seriously Allen - I think this is possibly one of your best videos yet. I've been a subscriber for a while now (2 years?) and I think I've seen them all now - but this is epic stuff. You've inspired me to get out more with my boys - so we're all winners. Look forward to your videos hitting the screen each week - top job mate!

I slept on a ledge on Ben Arthur last night.
I would never consider that sport as potentially appropriate before I found your channel.
    Thank you Al?
I'm ex RAF, part-time mountain rescue and super safety conscious.
Sometimes your video's scare the sh#t out of me.
    But,
Oftentimes- you have reintroduced me to personal choice V Risk.
I'm now less Betty and more Jim (Betty was an extreme freak!)
I have actually camped "near" some (= < 12 of your spots).
Because we are all different and often, want a different view, or airflow through my tent.
    I thank you.
For encouraging me and sometines mine to leave the couch behind and Get Out There!
My job would be much more difficult if we hadn't seen your vids!
GOD Bless you Sir and your amazing Blue xxx

I still cannot believe we did sharp edge and across Blencathra, to Keswick, on a school outing, about 15 of us, age about 13ish, one kid bottled it as I remember, that was about 1968, doubt it would be possible these days! Great vid, see ya on the next one.

I was recommended your channel when I asked someone in another video if it would be possible to hike up Scafell Pike with a dog this video has proved it would not only be possible but my dog would love it. The lakes are such a beautifully breathtaking place totally magical.
Have done quite a few hikes in the area nothing as treacherous as in this video however.
Would love to do some wild camping, I like that you’ve included all the kit you used, and given a quick review. Some of the gear it has to be said is quite expensive but as the saying goes ‘buy cheap buy twice’ . Will defo use your affiliate links for any purchases. New subscriber all the best to you and Blue.

Great video, sharp edge looks fantastic and Blue made a grade 1 look so easy. Drone footage before the crash looked like the opening scene from an action movie. That tent reminds me of my old TN Solar but the Fally had more features. Nice video to watch after two long hill days here in Snowdonia. Many thanks for sharing Al and give Blue dog a hug from me ❤

"The KING's Chair" aka Thermarest Trekker Chair that wraps around an air mattress to provide a hiker with insulated from the ground back supported chair. My Trekker Chair is wrapped around my Thermarest XTherm with an R6.9 rating.
Your hike up Sharp Edge is outside my comfort zone. It was really enjoyable watching you scramble up.

Great vid again mate. I’ve been up sharp edge twice now, last time I realised I was scared of heights, just happened to me once I turned 50. Never been scared before, guess it’s an age thing. But you just have to respect the edge. I’m doing it again? When I get my new knee!! It wasn’t my ACL much worse!! Do something that scares you as often as possible!! Push your limits, you believe that, I believe that, that’s why you’re my number 1 go to channel. Keep it up.

Your videos are amazing, but your attitude to your adventures & to life etc., makes them even more special! Love that this one almost seemed like multiple adventures packed into one trip too. It’s easy to see where it got the name ‘Sharp Edge’ when you see your videos & drone footage…OMG! 😮 Was watching part of it (around 15:07 mins, & immediately saw what looked like the shape of a dog’s (or wolf’s) face along the top of the rock formations…so I deduced that someone must be trying to say the area is made for you & Blue to explore! 🤣

Brilliant vlog and epic drone shots. My only visit to Sharp Edge was by accident in my scouting days. Thick cloud in January ice everywhere biting wind and we found ourselves coming down it 😢. Anyway we survived with no mishaps just glad we couldn’t see the bottom but VERY scary. I will go back and do it again tho in good conditions.

Eh up matey, that was a great one. Blencathra is a great looking mountain and it does spend a lot of its time in the clouds. Some brave drone footage there fella along with caution and respect to Sharp Edge. It is scarier that Striding edge that's for sure. Lovely camp there at Skales tarn. I want to do that one myself and red tarn at helvelyn. That trekker chair is brilliant and wondering if it would work with any sleeping matt. Keep up the good work Al lad and Bluey. Brilliant video. Enjoyed that. Atb fella.

My heart leapt a couple of times on sharp edge, I should know better as you have taken us there before, it still frightens the life out of me every time lol. The happy and well deserved contentment you experienced in that idyllic setting, was evident Alan. You are an amazing advertisement for the Lake District and the Great Outdoors. Thank you for all the hard work you do to share this beautiful world and your experiences with us.

Absolutely love your videos, struggled to watch you on sharp edge,I’m so terrified of heights! But I’m a cold water swimmer so I totally get your feelings having a dip. ❤

As you know it’s pretty easy but worth showing people the true terrain so they can decide for themselves 👍👍👍

@@BUSHMANandBLUE 100% mate, it's easy enough if you know what you're doing and also if the weather conditions are good but can turn nasty real quick if any of those things aren't aligned eh. Totally agree and you always show that these things are doable but you've got to take care.

That's a scary ascent round Sharp Edge Al. Blue made it look all to easy. Great vid and stunning scenery. I hope the drone survived to fly another day. I have the Flextail Mini Repel and I have it hanging outside under my tarp in the woods. Does really make a different, especially with the outside setting on. I'm really pleased with mine. I hate going to bed with mosquito repellent on, bloody stinks! Look forward to the next one mate. Loved the music in this too.

I’m not sure if the Tony repel yet. It will get more testing. Drone survived luckily as they are my favourite parts to film and edit😬

@@BUSHMANandBLUE I always replace the pads every time I use it with fresh pads. Seems to help sat outside in the dark. Look forward to next vid! Love how Blue follows your commands. Well trained and beautiful dog. Love your channel, oh, and Wildbear too! 💕

That place looks stunning 😍 that sea looks beautiful, better than me swimming in Whitley bay sea at the weekend with all the rocks. Look forward to part two.

I love the fact that I always seem to be out walking and enjoying the nature around me when Al and Blue's videos drop... seems very appropriate! Can't wait to watch when I get home. ❤

Nice one Al, keep up the great work. Did Sharp Edge about 20 years ago on one of our winter walking trips in a December. Weather was dry ish, but as we got onto the ridge the clag came down and made the going under foot slippery as hell. Was really glad to get on to Blencathra. All the best.

Many a year ago I got below Sharp Edge, no ta. You 6 legs make it look so easy. I know you only have one side but your Jack's Rake film was scarier to watch. Not done that either! Top film as per. The (mountain) 🐐 The( mountain)🐶 ❤

Jacks rake is definitely a lot harder. Blue can’t do it alone like the rest of the Lakeland scrambles 👍👍👍

What brand are your green running shorts please Al? They look great and not too baggy around the legs as some.
