@@stephenjon3502 it’s just as tall as my 6.7 OnePlus 7 Pro but the aspect ratio is much narrower, so it is a smaller footprint but it’s tall but that’s great for Netflix

Dope video as always! For the fingerprint sensor, I learned a trick from a post on Reddit. When you add your fingerprint, do it at a place where it's dark. Apparently, light interferes with your scans. For the scanning process, hold the phone naturally and then do a featherweight touch with your thumb on the first scan and then press firmly on the second scan, and then just do the rest as directed. I did that and now my fingerprint reader's damn near perfect after struggling like crazy. Still ridiculous that I have to do that though, but it works!
Thanks for sharing. I tried your recommendation and will see in the next few days if the fingerprint unlocking will improve. Flossy was correct about how Pixel 6 needs to improve the fingerprint sensor. After few weeks of owning one, I think that it is it's biggest problem.
Honestly, floss is one of the best reviewers around. Most tech reviewers start out with a general consumer perspective. But, they lose that when they become more popular. Floss never lost that. Thats why I love floss 😁👍
Even before this video, I pretty much already decided that I am upgrading from my iphone xs max to a pixel 6. I am really glad to see anyone covering the regular pixel 6 in any sort of depth, but especially you. I really value your input on phones. Thanks for all of the hard work over the years
I also upgraded to a regular 6 from an XS Max and couldn't be happier. Feels like a solid update in every way and 90hz is great. Not to mention much better battery life.

Completely agree with you 100% about the fingerprint sensor. It is really the only thing to hate about this phone. And I just don't understand it. Phones a decade ago had far superior sensors. I have yelled out the real version of "Frick" more times than I can count trying to use this fingerprint scanner.

I'm white. My old man never raised his voice at me as he didn't need to. He once threw a slipper at me which missed me by 6 inches and preceeded to go thru the glass door I was standing next to. I never tried to piss him off after that - he was a giant of a man, ex forces (RAF) and a very quiet, placid father. Left this planet far too early and I Miss that man every day. ❤
The only words I needed to hear "it's a triple major go". Glad I held onto my Pixel 6.
This might be my next phone. I've usually gone with low budget, to mid range phones to save money. But for my beginner flagship, I might go with a pixel 6. A flagship phone on a high tier mid-range price is a win to me. Shame they took out the charging brick and 3.5 audio jack, especially the headphone jack.

Believe it or not, I just went from a Samsung Note 20 Ultra to a Google Pixel 6. Since there wasn't the usual fall release of the next Note series and no S21 Ultra were available, I thought why not give the Pixle 6 a try, save some $$$ and get to enjoy Android 12 right now. I have to say, the Pixle 6 offers incredible value for $600. The absolute validation of why we don't need to spend over $1200 on a smartphone in 2021.

It's pretty hilarious to see the similarities in cultures, I'm from Latin America and yes, our parents would do that quiet voice, with a smile stuck in their faces but speaking like a ventriloquist and giving you a clear message "Don't touch nothing, we didn't come here to buy stuff for you", you made my day with that one.

In all honesty, some of these reviews online are so out of touch, it's people who spend the whole time just nitpicking like a seam on the side of the phone, or the thickness of the bezel, or something. These really are REAL reviews, you talk about the kinds of things I care about in a phone and I hope you keep making these reviews because almost no one else covers the practical sides of phones like you do. Seriously, all the Pixel 7 needs to do to make a perfect phone is literally take the current Pixel 6, slap the finger print sensor from the Pixel 5 on the back of the phone and bring back the face unlock from the Pixel 4. Zero RND needed. Make it happen google. It's not that hard.
I'll add both front facing speakers like on the 2xl and squeeze feature and we got the perfect pixel

Yup! Bring motion sense, the squeeze, I say put the fingerprint sensor in the power button so the back stays clean and unlocked the Home Screen for customization and it’s a perfect phone!

I definitely have the same issues with the 6 Pro. I had to use smart lock with my watch. Also, it seems to have a weird wakeup issue where I have to use the power button sometimes. Also, with the fingerprint scanner, it seems like that light doesn't come on when it should, which is probably why it misreads some of the time.... Possibly linked to the wake issue.

Pixel is an Iphone of Android, system optimization wise. I cannot imagine myself choosing MiUi or other BS Android skin-phones with bloatwares, etc. over the real and best Google experience.

I come to Floss's channel every time my contracts or installments are done and have since the Galaxy S3 days. That phone was trash, but it was my first smart phone. Hard to believe it's been that long.
He's the best reviewer there is. Others go over this and that in an 8 minute video, but Floss goes through EVERYTHING for an hour or longer. I love that. No need to shorten them. Worst case scenario, we pause and come back to the rest later. XD
I had the s3 for so long I had to charge it with an external battery charger 😂 had 3 batteries shuffling thru
I had an S3 too and it was trash indeed compared to what we have today. The battery was just horrible, mine completely died after 2 years of use. (My dad exchanged the battery 3 times in his) That is why I don't want removable batteries to come back- since you could easily replace it they have put the cheapest low quality shit inside.
You guys are crazy. The S3 was fantastic for its time. I loved everything about it again for its time.

My first new phone in 5 years, and I just picked mine up after seeing your review of the Pro. It's the nicest phone I've ever owned. It runs so smooth and the camera is amazing.
May I ask if you got the pro or the regular one and how you are liking it after a few days?
@@karley3679 Regular version, so far its been great. Gestures were easy to pick up on and the camera is amazing. Only thing I miss is the expandable storage but I have plenty of space in the Google drive so I've started moving pics/videos to that.

Got this as a second phone for work was gonna do the pro but it doesn't get as much use as my primary (13 pro max) and this phone is honestly a work horse. Super smooth and battery is great too. Camera obviously is great. For 600 you honestly have no complaints

I have 5 brothers. 1 7 years older than myself and then 5 of us within 6 years (so very much pack minded). My mom (bless her soul) would take us to the grocery store. She would give us the scariest 'when your dad gets home' type talks before going in. Sometimes it worked and then sometimes we played tag up and down the aisles, bothered the crabs in the tank and poked the cow tongues. Guess which was more common... LOL

Ayo Floss! Thanks for the review, as always. Just wanted to point out that the "narrow" display on the home screen is just your grid size. You should be able to change it to the better 5x5 in Wallpaper & Styles. When I first tried to find it though, I had to restart my phone for the option to pop up, so you may need to do that too.
5x5 way better than 4x5 or 4x4 that it ships with.
You don't have to reset just hold the front screen it will pop up and then go to wall paper the setting is there sat the bottom.
My mom just yelled at us in front of everybody. Also, now I want the 6. You and Shoes do the best reviews!

I'm lovin' my 6 Pro. But I SERIOUSLY think I might downgrade to the regular 6. Still need to try it out in the mountains. Maybe I'll need the telephoto zoom out there.

I gave up yesterday and deleted all fingerprints and switched to pattern unlock. A simple one that I can perform without looking at the screen. Less secure and more of a hassle than a decent fingerprint scanner but life is too damn short for "Hold a little longer" and "Not recognized."
They took the finger print off the back?! That was my favorite feature, it was in the perfect location and worked as a button too. That's really disappointing.
I've been waiting for Floss' review of the 6, and I was not disappointed!! EXCELLENT! I don't think the extra $300 for the Pro is worth it for the additional features you get. The only thing I wish Floss had discussed is the 5G, I understand the 5G on the Pro is better since it supports mm-wave 5G. Is that something I'd notice? GREAT REVIEW.

I have the 6, located in Miami and I don't even notice the difference with 5G. I mean... It pops up BUT I'm not seeing any type of noticeable jumps in speed. Definitely not the same as going from 3G to 4G.
I'd go as far as to say 5G isn't even a reason to buy this device. At least not yet.
I think the zoom on the pro is really good especially for the price of the phone. They definitely did better than Samsung’s 100x zoom. Samsung’s 100x zoom was gimmicky in my opinion. Personally I’d never use the zoom that much, but I’m also not a huge picture taker.
I got the regular 6 on Saturday from the Google Store. I tried really hard to get the Pro but it was sold out everywhere. I love it. I think its a nice size to hold and stick in my purse.

In the US, a few stable 5G giants will end up owning everything. My money is on Verizon and AT&T. Verizon was a strongly established East Coast Baby Bell before it was re-branded as an independent mobile carrier.
Great so far, good camera fair price, and great colors. Easy setup and good fast speeds since 5G was introduced.

Never ever ever pay retail for phones you crazy i got my 21 ultra for 540 from Facebook marketplace. People love buying shit they don't want or need or even from the insurance then sell it at a huge loss to people like me
I like curved display for a couple of reasons and I like the flat screens for a few reasons. I feel like with the gestures that modern Android has, the curved screens make more sense for a more "natural" feeling interaction. Flat screens are easier to type on though.
More sense for like how? Swiping off a corner to launch Assistant when that corner is ill-defined as it's rounded? No. Google curved for visual aesthetic flossing and forgot form follows function.

The telephoto cinched the pro for me. My child plays sports and too many times I couldn't get a good shot of her when I zoomed in on other phones. Curved screen made it feel better in the hand too. Plus my carrier deal made it $200. So why not 🤷🏽I see that cinematic pan too on that video, buttery smooth.

After my Pixel 2 XL and four years of using it, I went with the iPhone 13 Pro Max instead of the Pixel 6 Pro since I recently bought a MacBook and wanted to try out the continuity experience. I definately will miss the Always-On-Display though... Love your reviews!

Have recently purchased the Pixel 6 in Sorta Seafoam which is stunning 🤩 Love the design but a couple of things I’d change. Matte Back, Coloured Accent Buttons and slightly smaller, maybe 6 inch. Highly recommend this phone and good to see Floss agrees with me 😉

Flossy great real review as always, I bought the Pixel 6 over the Pro due to preference as I prefer the flat screen, Battery performance is great especially the standby time over night, The finger print scanner though, had a major major major problem with it, I realised all this time it was the spigen tempered glass i bought was causing the finger print reader not to work, I took it off and works perfect now as I was on a verge of returning it but not now, also changed the animation speed from 1x to 0.5x so it works a bit quicker, I just hope they come out with a tempered glass screen protector which doesn't interfere with the finger print reader in the future, as i dont want to scratch the screen. other than definitely agree a great phone in that price range, very little to fault
Ive read the finger print sensor now works better after google sent an update to fix it, is it true?
@@youcancanyou I've not had any further update yet in the UK yet to comment, I have read about this update though,so far only had one update with the November security patch that's all at the moment, to be honest the finger print reader works fine for me, it just doesn't work with tempered glass screen protectors which is what they need to look at
It's a little better but still trash in today's world of fingerprint sensors.
