One hour is a lot, but FINALLY, a real review, just showing the phone working while you use it for real stuff. Most tech reviewers are way too worried about flashy video editing, and are not managing to actually give us a good impression of the device. Good work

Yea WTF happened? As even Europe has better charger's and more capabilities on some of the same cell phones that the USA does unfortunately they won't work on our networks...
Flossy mentioned the idea of a Nexus with Samsung hardware and Google software. That actually happened a while ago with Google Play edition phones. It was other phones hardware with stock android software. Short lived but it was amazing and I wish they'd bring it back

They should bring it back but with the Pixel phones it wouldn’t make sense. Plus Samsung wouldn’t be happy about that at all. Pricing would be a major issue as well as optimisation.
So far I'm loving my Pixel 6A. I haven't had any issues with it and the 60 Hz screen isn't even that noticeable next to my iPhone 13 pro Max. Google has done a great job optimizing this phone. I do miss having wireless charging though and I wish they would have included it. Other than that though, this is a great phone as a secondary device for me. I would definitely recommend it

You may not notice it but it’s definitely noticeable but the screen still looks great, colors look great. Just for normal use it may notable a big difference
I'm digging the phone, don't care about refresh rate as everything I have is 60hz so whatever. 18w charging is slllllooooooowwwww in 2022. Other than that, after a day, I dig it.

This camera has no business being this good, as a bona-fide peasant I approve of this device and it meets all of my simp needs.
I got my Pixel 6a yesterday having upgraded from an Oppo Reno2 that I bought based on your review from a few years back. The fingerprint reader on the Pixel 6a is the same speed as my Oppo and it is of no bother to me. I have never had a phone with anything higher than 60Hz so it doesn't matter to me if it doesn't have 90Hz or 120Hz. I would prefer the power button on the right and the volume rockers on the left of the phone, but as you say, "it is what it is". The plastic back of the phone doesn't matter as I have a Caseology Nano Pop case for home and casual use, and an Otterbox Commuter case on the way as my work is more outdoors than in an office.
Is that a pixel 6 case that fits on a 6a ?

Great review. I never cared about a faster fingerprint reader as long as it worked. If speed is all that matters then Xiaomi just the best face unlock of any smartphone.

I'll take the frequent security updates and longer term support on the Pixel 6A over the handful of additional features of the Xaomi 12 every day of the week. Security is a non-negotiable "feature" in my books, and I understand that it has a cost that to be factors into the total price of the phone.
That said, I'm considering jumping ship from Pixel to a Galaxy-S device. I hear Sammy is beating even the mighty Google in the updates/long-term-support department nowadays.
Google Play Edition phones were the best. I remember always getting the HTC phones with Google's software. The best combination. Like you said a S22 Ultra with pixel software. I would buy one tomorrow
Remember the Samsung Galaxy Nexus! That and the HTC Nexus was my favorite phones

They be messing around. I would love to have a red pixel. The closest you can get to it is a coral pixel 6 or a skin. They need to stop playing. It's like nobody serious about colors except Apple.

Pixel also gives visual voicemail in the dialer app. Call screen. I think those 2 features alone make the Pixel 6a a better choice over the nicer looking phone at the same price.
Kinda one of my favorite features about a Pixel.

Pixel any day for me. Stock Android over anything else. I have the Pixel 6. Haven't had any issue with the fingerprint sensor.
I've watched other reviewers review the 6A, but they don't count... the only real valid reviews are Floss' reviews. Bottom line, for me, is that the 6A is "awright", OK for the money. I REALLY wish all manufacturers would put the charger in the box (but having said that I know they won't). This is the usual informative Floss reviews. Time to wait for the Pixel 7.
Got mine today at best buy for $300. So far so good.
The $15 cases have a nicer presentation than the $450 phone.

You are 1000% correct about the fingerprint sensor. That is the only reason I don't use Pixel 6 series. I am still using my Pixel 4.
I’m hoping the pixel 7 improves the zoom. I love my s22 ultra but I feel like pixel is about to take over. That camera is legit.
I am so torn between getting the S23 or Pixel 7. I've never owned a Pixel or a Nexus and the S21 was my first Samsung.

I’m so glad I found your channel today! I have been a long time Motorola user, which I switched to when Samsung phones started getting too expensive. I just recently was forced to buy an iPhone XR that was used but otherwise excellent condition because it’s apparently required to have the Apple Card. Biggest mistake ever switching to iPhone, I absolutely hate it, I could go on for an hour about the differences, except I do like the face recognition. Trying to stick it out a month…. Since it is time for me to get a new phone because my last Motorola is getting old, I wanted to find something not too expensive. This video has helped so much!!! I think it’s a good idea though to keep an iPhone on hand, I think at this point I don’t want all of my technology eggs in the same basket, just in case of some major system failure. Thank you for your excellent review.

bro, i just bought a pixel 6a today and so far i had not one single problem with the fingerprint. it just works. always. and who the f cares about wireless charging,, who cares about fast charge.
when i buy a pixel i buy it 1) because of the good specs and 2) because i want the pure android experience.
i dont want or need this one ui, miui, emui or whatever bullsh... every other manufacturer of smartphones does. i want my pure android.
if you want your android without a shitload of bloatware and without some stupid overly and updates for years, just like apple, pixel is the way to go.
I'm happy with Pixel 6, but Flossy's reviews are not to be missed! Another great case is the dbrand Grip. Works great on my P6.

completely agree on the arguement of xiaomi 12 over pixel. The pixel 6a has a better camera though. For most people its the single most important spec. So choose wisely peeps

This is the first time I have been on here in a while. I have been holding on to my Pixel 3XL for a long time now because Google has been doing a crappy job with the releases of the Pixel phone since I got my Pixel 3XL. Finally, they came out with a phone like the Pixel 6 PRO that caught my attention. However, due to the major complaints from customers, the bugs literally breaking the phone and bad press, it seems as though it was by far the worst release Google had in Pixel history. I just kept my wallet closed. I am seriously hoping Google can do better with the Pixel 7 this year. If not, I may have to finally jump over on another platform that I am not a fan of.

The Pixel 3XL then the Pixel 4 release made me try iPhone then I landed on Samsung. S22 Ultra now and I probably won't ever go back to Pixel.

@@pontus.andersson I feel the same way I have the pixel 6 and it has been horrible since about a week after I got it I hate it so much it always freezes the hey Google feature barely works it always overheats when I'm charging it and it takes forever to charge and doesn't hold a good charge it dies so fast. I'm also thinking of switching to a iPhone honestly I still have a lot to pay on this but soon as I'm done I'm making the switch to something completely different other then my camera everything else sucks on the phone and I constantly am stuck with no signal really annoying I see why now it has so mainly complaints

I got the normal pixel 6 and yesterday I bought the pixel 6a by mistake lol I say that bc I went to a pawn shop looking for a ps4 and saw the pixel 6a for $200 talked to the guy said he'd take 180 plus tax, I brought my iphone SE 2020 and did a trade in for it (the iPhone I had, had a long crack on screen so he did a trade for $65 on it) and paid the rest in cash. Tbh it was probably the best thing he had in that pawn shop. Phone works amazing it is locked but since it was paid off before it was sold imma have att (who is also my carrier who I bought the pixel 6 from that I'm using to type this out on since I still owe like $200-300 on this phone) unlock it so I can use it on straight talk or simple mobile. I'd recommend ppl to buy the pixel 6a
Edit: also adding to it it has 3 major OS updates and an extra 2 years of security so it will get Android 15

It is good to hear you're sticking with the Samsung Plus. I have the pixel 6 and nothing but headaches with the software. I sold it and bought a Samsung s22 Plus and very happy.
I'm gonna stick to the Pixel 6A, looking for an upgrade from my OP6. Pixel is assured of updates, that's kind of a big deal for longevity for me. And Xiaomi has issues with privacy, leaking information back to their servers.. not for me. You should enable smartlock, if you have a smartwatch, just link it to that and don't have to use your fingerprint. For a guy coming from an OP6, the pixel is a major upgrade for me, 60hz? no big deal... for me. Plastic? no big deal since I ALWAYS keep my phones in a case. I find people these days are so picky for things that don't really matter. Do we need a 120hz for a phone? What do we NEED? Ya know?
128 gigs? That's the bare minimum, I have 128, never filled it, cuz I offload my images and don't fill my phone with them.

These Pixel phones are GREAT android devices, but Google miss the mark in some key areas, like mediocre battery life and the gyro doesn't seem to be very accurate. I own the Pixel 6 Pro, love it but it could be better, also, I didn't expect it not having face unlock.

Watching this from my Pixel 6 Pro. No issues and the camera on this thing produces better photos and videos than my roommates S22 Ultra. He also wishes he had all the Call Screening features like Pixels and Motorola's have.

I've had 128gb storage for 2 phones now and it has been enough each time. If you keep cleaning the clutter and keep apps that are actually used then it's enough. Also always make sure to clean out excess videos and transfer storage to laptop frequently.
For ppl like me its not enough because i have games that take up 10 to 20 gb each lol
Hopefully whenever Pixel 7 series comes out, Google fixes most of the bugs with its tensor chip and put better specs especially since every mid range phone in 2022 has a 120hz screen.
I decided too go with the Moto Edge Plus + but if their next new higher tier MOTOROLA doesn't blow this one away all definitely be considering the PIXEL 7 as a worthy contender!!!

When it comes to the 12 vs the 6a, it would really depend on the camera and OS for price because I can live with a 60hz and no wireless charging and I have been using the pixel 3 since it came out. Also the 6a felt really good in the hand when I held it at best buy and it felt just as nice as my pixel 3 besides the soft touch glass on the pixel 3 that shit is just so nice.
I’m telling you, you don’t want 60hz. Other than the fact that the general public doesn’t understand what refresh rate is, it’s one of the biggest features in phone performance of the last decade by far. It should be a pretty high priority and once you get a phone with 120hz, you will never get one that doesn’t have it.
I just started a new line with Metro by T-Mobile and I’m getting the Google pixel 6 a for free and I also got me an official Google case that’ll be here on Monday and the phone itself as well.
