Some of the views on emirates are of First Class not business! Secondly, though Qatar is great the REAL PROBLEM is the multiple configurations in their fleet. It is all well and good to advertise their Q suites but not a large part of their fleet has them. For the rest it is pot luck and some are below standard but the price is the same. This is really frustrating!
I completely disagree about ANA. in 2023 i flew from San Francisco to Tokyo in business class. The flight was due to deport At midnight or something like that and guess what? They told me like they were my mother that I should not be eating that late at night. And there will only be one meal served at the end of the flight. And right now, if i wanted to eat anything, then I should get something from the snackbar, a light snack that is. I first thought the flight attendant was just pulling my leg and joking with me. But as she did not smile, I realized that this was not a joke that they really had told me passengers will not be served a dinner for a flight departing at midnight because it is late at night and this is not the right time to have dinner. Imagine being on a 10 hour flight, starting at midnight and to be scold. It like a child for expecting a full meal on a flight that is departing after midnight
We’ve been fortunate enough to score business class tickets using points on both ANA and Singapore Airlines in the past 12 months. My only complaint is that the footwells on both while in the lie-flat position are pretty small for me. I’m 6’2” tall with size 12 feet. And it’s difficult getting my feet oriented in a comfortable way. Only airline seat I haven’t had that issue with is the JAL Sky Suite, a 2-3-2 configuration that works great for me.
Flying out from Singapore, Singapore airlines charges more than twice of the middle eastern airlines to Europe while offering much less. Not saying they are bad but just not worth the money.
Not agree. I fly to Bangkok from Brussels with SA. Qatar and SA had the same price, but when booking Qatar you have to pay extra for seat selection ,70€ for each leg and lounge access was not included. With SA everything was included and Changi airport is the best IMO. Emirates is lately way more expensive. Etihad sometimes have some offers

It easily costs S$10k for a biz class ticket from SGP to Europe where else I can fly Qatar for S$4-6k, depending on the destination. From your perspective, taking transiting airport into account, Changi is way ahead of Doha but the business class lounge at Doha is miles ahead of SQ lounge in Changi.
Have travelled business class on Etihad, KLM, and for the last few years Qatar. Etihad was excellent up until a few years ago and then suddenly went downhill.Qatar I have been flying business class regularly for about five years, they are probably still number one but i have noticed that they are not as efficient as they once were plus the fact that the price of middle eastern airlines seats has skyrocketed .KLM for the price I found very good value for the price.

As a Korean, I also recommend Korean Air's Business(Prestige) class. The new seat called Prestige suite 2.0(only in Boeing 787 - 10), provides as good service and privacy as first class seats with sliding doors. Prestige sweet 1.0 is also good with huge seat but other seats like Prestige slippers are not that good.

We then flew first class last year, but we found it difficult to justify the extra cost, so we have reversed to Qatar for our upcoming trip. You showed the Dom champagne in your video. This is only served in first class, and then only after take off.
Check very carefully when booking Cathay Pacific. Recently I booked on an A330 flight. Business class configuration as in your video. What I got was a B777 with a 2-3 2 layout on an absolutely full flight. No multi page menu. Very small choice of wine - basically a cheap Champagne and one red, one white and a dessert wine. No comment on the food but the coffee was good. To make matters worse, one of the toilets became inoperable. Never again!
I fly regularly between Manchester and Bangkok. Tried all the usual European, Asian and Middle East carriers and they are all very much the same. Before Covid i used mostly Emirates or Qatar but their prices have gone through the roof in the past couple of years. Last couple of trips i used Air France which was half the price of Emirates and just as good except they dont have a dedicated lounge at Manchester.
I used to work for a subsidiary of Eva Air back in 2000-2005, my tickets were Premium Economy the seat on the B747 was a business class one with Economy meals though I often got upgrades to BC and once to 1st class. The route was London-Bangkok-Taipei. A friend and I did fly LHR BKK when he did his one month on one month off visits. I wonder if they fly from Manchester as their product must have kept up with trends and might work out for you.

I am surprised that you did not include Turkish Airlines business class with their on board chefs! That is a nice touch and meals are served partially from rolling carts whereby you can choose the appetizer you want and desserts you want by seeing them first! Now that is a nice touch that I do not see on any of your top 5 choices.
I've flown Qantas, Emirates, Etihad, Singapore business class & this year sadly disappointed in Singapore. I think that issue is with these videos is that the airlines score big from major hubs like Heathrow or Frankfurt however when I flew from Rome to Singapore it was really not good enough. Flat bed so uncomfortable that I didnt sleep. I would not choose them again.

There's a LOT of caveats that need to go into this video. ANA: The seats shown are only on the B777, and only on selected routes. Qatar: Beware the dreaded "equipment change". One minute you think you're on QSuite, the next you wish you'd flown Air India. Emirates: The dreaded 2:3:2 B777 business class. Do your homework to avoid that disappointment!
having been burned recently with a short-notice airplane change from A350 with wonderful lie flat horizontal private capsules to a 10year older A330 with awful no-privacy twin-seats a few inches from/beside a stranger and 'lie flat' 20-30 degrees 'slide off' discomfort, I'm thinking airlines are shifting variable configurations and I want to be very careful checking what I'm gonna get. Recently flew Cathay Pacific from HK to Manchester….i normally fly Qatar and Emirates, however I totally agree that Cathay cabin crew are in a different league to all the others.
What a shame seat width was not mentioned as it's the most important measurements for me as I have back problems. Emirates A380 seats are great but the B777 are like coffins and have one arm rest at the correct level the other is at shoulder height. Emirates only offer amenity kits on overnight flights, though they do offer a great limo service.

If you choose to fly emirates business class, do not choose the 777-300ER business class cause its 2+3+2 layout. Who even keeps a middle seat for business class, come on, even the worst airlines do not have the middle seat in business class.
I don't disagree with your top 5 airlines, but I will make 2 points. In some cases you are comparing with economy class - there is no comparison, the price difference will tell you that. The second point is you consider SIA have one of the best, if not best business class seat in terms of comfort and room, I wonder when you last flew wit SIA Business. I flew in April 2024 and I will say it is the WORSE business class seat I have ever flown. the footwell is small as well it is at an angle to your normal seating, so when you try to sleep you are at an un-naturnal position. The rest of SIA, service etc. are one of the best in the world. When you are paying paying premium price you are paying for the seat first and foremost, you don't pay the extra cost because the food is excellent.

That configuration is on the 777 I recall. And it is a pretty awful hard product. The 380 is 1-2-1 and extremely comfortable.

Emirates 777 business is pretty medium at best (I also don’t like the 2-3-2) but their a380 is worth the full price.

Emirates actually has 2-3-2 on the 777. A380 is fine. 777 is very dated.
