Hats off to the catering team! Couldn’t be prouder watching this. As a crew, we’re honored to serve you with excellence. Especially in Business Class, where you can dine anytime you wish ✈️😇
Best airline, actually edible meals in economy class. Did a very long flight and they fed me plenty of food and even okish red wine. I slept for a while and the crew woke me up with another meal and orange juice.👌
It’s impressive how much attention to detail Qatar Airways puts into making those meals. It really reflects the kind of hospitality you feel when you're in Qatar too.
I feel they didn't properly communicate how even getting a tiny baggy of peanuts is far from guaranteed on US flights. Especially if it's a shorter flight, like under 2 hours. Even then, it's almost never namebrand and like half the size of the bag they showed in the video (I know it was almonds, but the ones I usually get are like the size and amount of a tiny Halloween fun-size pack of M&Ms), in my experience with a few of the airlines.
As someone who used to fly a lot back starting in the late 1960s in North and South America I can't tell you the food was so good! Even if you were only flying from Chicago to California you'd get a full entree. I had the best crepes once with real whip cream. It's a bygone age of flying.

I flew for the first time with Qatar early this year. Yes, the meals that I got was good and this video explains why. Thank you to each and everyone who prepare these tasty meals. And thanks to the cabin crew for great service.I will be flying Qatar Air again next year😊
A few years ago, I had the pleasure of flying Qatar Airways back to the U.S. It was, by far, THE BEST commercial flight I've ever experienced in my decades of global travel. Comparing Qatar Airways to any U.S. carrier is akin to comparing a Rolls-Royce to a Yugo. The former offers an experience of absolute luxury, while the latter is a hot, ghetto, mess. Qatar Airways impressed me with its immaculate cabin, comfortable seating, and pristine restrooms; and the food was DELICIOUS!!!In contrast, U.S. carriers provide a subpar experience, along with increasing fees and declining quality. I wish there was an option to fly with Qatar Airways domestically within the United States.
@ Sweetheart, the rank system exists across every industry. If you want your product or service to succeed and achieve top ranking, you have to deliver an exceptional product, service, quality, or value to customers. Chick-fil-A ranks higher than all other fast food restaurants in the U.S., including McDonald's, because of its exceptional service for a fast food chain. Toyota leads in manufacturing and sales-a rank system, in comparison to other automakers-because they produce quality products. Hyundai, once considered a low-quality automaker, rehabilitated its reputation by overhauling production, redesigning its products, investing in technology, and appealed to customers by offering a 100,000-mile warranty. In other words, despite being once considered subpar, they rehabilitated their reputation by creating value. The ranking system is not new, so I suggest you get out of your feelings. Returning to my original point, if American air carriers had to compete with international carriers like Qatar Airways, KLM, or Emirates for domestic flights, they would likely face bankruptcy. The aircraft aren't clean, the space is cramped, and passengers are packed in like sardines, increasing the likelihood of violent incidents. The catering is an insult, yet passengers are asked to pay hundreds or even thousands for this trash experience while they make billions. And sadly, in many respects this is the American way.
I remember a flight from SF to Incheon on Asiana, and got bibimbap in real porcelain dishes with real metal chopsticks and spoons despite only being in economy. The stewardess wore this really beautiful apron when serving and it's probably still my top meal experience ever.
Q Suite is really hard to beat... I've only flown business with Qatar (for the past 4-ish years) and that's for good reason - the price-to-performance ratio is on point. Hard product is good, food is good, service is good. Doha is an excellent airport & Al Maha Meet & Assist is also a super experience that is included free for Gold/Platinum. I wanted to try Emirates First Class from Europe back to New York last month, mostly to say "I did it," but it was 2x the price of Q Suite and honestly Q Suite is (in my opinion) basically a first class product already...
Flew with Qatar Airways for many times and never disappointed with the meals and beverages they served. Not only the taste is great, they are also generous with the portion. No wonder Qatar Airways is always on top of the list of the best airlines in the world.

I’ve flown Qatar airlines several times. Mainly in Business but also occasionally in Economy. Never had a bad meal experience. In both classes. Of course in BC the meals are better and served course by course and not all on a tray at once. But even economy was tasty.
Had the opportunity to fly Qatar airways and im not lying, i was in economy class and the food is so freakin good and fresh!! I had vegetarian food bdw , my friends who had meat also sais it was really delicious
I noticed that Qatar Airways food handlers are strict in preparing meals for the flights. They all wear face masks, gloves, aprons and head cap properly. I guess this is one of the reasons why QA is a consistent No.1 airline in the world! Keep it up!🙏😇
Qatar Airways is great. Used to fly them exclusively to get to uni when I was younger and one time I was bumped up to first. I was flying with a friend tho so I refused the upgrade and thanked them. They got back to me 5 mins later and told me they bumped up my friend as well.
Veg Indian food on Qatar is soo good 👍 ❤ keep it up more vegetarian indian food and also the fruit platter is always best and easy on the stomach option during my long flights ❤
7:25 Economy food sealed and opened by the passenger. Business and 1st class food laid out by cabin attendants on flight. Passenger cabins are not a sanitary environment and cabin attendants are dealing with food while potentially doing other work and touching stuff (even if they use gloves). Hence economy food wins 100% when it comes to hygiene. That was a find.
As a business man from the US I fly to southeast Asia a lot. Always in business, once I was upgraded to first. Doha has the best airport lounges by FAR, and Qatar airways is fantastic. I just wish the business class was a bit cheaper. I'll promote you if I can get a discount lol.
the thing about food testing different at 32,000 feet it true, you can't even breathe at the altitude, but the cabins are pressurised, but no where as much as they used to be when smoking was allowed, nor is the air circulated and swapped as much. DVT etc are only as recent as the smoking ban on planes.
I took a Qatar Airways flight for the first time this year and they definitely had the best 'aeroplane' food I have ever eaten. I would genuinely eat it again.
I'm impressed! Reminds me of the "good old days" of flying in the '50s when most American lines served "real" fresh foods on plates with "normal" flatware, rewarmed in their new "radar ranges" (microwaves, for you youngsters) if refrigerated, or kept warm in heated storage sections of the galleys.
Some aircraft types had full functional galleys onboard so it wasn’t just a reheated meal it was an actually cooked meal. Which is even crazier to think about in the modern era
@@DesertHeat I believe that is still a feature that could be added to aircraft just most companies spec their aircraft without them. I only say that because military transport aircraft have those toasters, convection ovens, hot plates and of course the most important ever present water boiler/coffee maker
As a Kiwi I'm always excited to see a nod to little old New Zealand in videos, but this is even cooler because I've always raved about our airline food and it's cool to see it recognised here
Food on Qatar airways is always a treat. Food at their lounges are delicious too. I am addicted to their eggplant dips in their Arabic mezze and can't get enough of them. Amazing in the air, but service on the ground like baggage handling is abysmal. The only two airlines that are consistent in the air and on the ground are ANA and JAL. I had the best lobster bisque at the JAL first class lounge at Narita in 2014. It was phenomenal. ❤ When I was a child, I loved flying as the food was always delicious. You always dressed in your sunday best and always minded your manners and your Ps and Qs. Everyone was always courteous, civilised and polite. Happy days back then. 😊
11:45 as a person who lives in Hawaii and always flys Hawaiian airlines, which has complementary food. It definitely makes a difference. Its sad to see that southwest is trying to putcompete with them with undercut prices though.
I will build an elementary school soon I will have this exact way of cooking fresh healthy clean breakfast lunch and dinner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ five stars all the way 🙏🏼
Interesting ! For some reason I've always been fascinated by airline food. Obviously some is bad, but some airlines do a good job, it's amazing they can create good quality meals at scale. I wonder if there are any cookbooks that focus on airline meals ?
I can’t resist to make a comment on this. Yes these airlines are really awesome. There’s a reason why as well. On top of making huge profits they are subsidized by their own government. I worked at the flight kitchen in Denver in 1992 for U.A.L. At the time we were pumping out 125k meals a day. A basic economy meal cost $25 to produce and board. That was 1992. You can see why food went away as it was mostly due to cost and customers wanting cheap fares.Furthermore, our U.S. airlines have been petitioning for years to level the playing field as these M.E. airlines can lose money on routes without a care and driving U.S. business away. Since that point in 92 I educated myself to become an instructor for the B787 so I know what I am talking about. That said it is an amazing accomplishment to produce food at that level.
I can remember 40 years ago - the best from the US to Europe was found on Air India. Now it is on Turkish Airways. Air France used to hover in third place - but I could never complain,
Yes, this summer I was offered a reroute with Air India (due to a flight cancellation which meant for me 24 hours wait in Singapore). I took a leap. Their vegetarian choice was better than Anything with my other legs (Qantas and Singapore Airlines). The airplane was not flash, but the food was superb, unlike bland cheapened food with the other two airlines on that trip. I even wrote to Air India.
Should it really be called a food desert if it’s actually a desert? Are there deserts that sustain huge populations of people with enough local produce? Am I missing something here? I’m serious, if someone knows please let me know. I think the term “food desert” can be really useful in understanding some pretty complex issues, but I’ve never heard it being used to describe an actual desert. I thought the desert part kinda speaks for itself.
That's what I was wondering too. The term "food desert" has a very specific meaning, at least here in the US, and I want to know more about where they are operating if they are sourcing thousands of pounds of fresh produce in a food desert.
Qatar PR is working hard to improve the company image after numerous flops in 2022 and 2023. Happy workers in Qatar are making tasty food. Yeah, you convinced me for sure.
''excess cheap labour forces'' - oh that's what you call '' work expats'' that are not working in the West I forgot. When a French chef moves to New York he's an expat, but when a Malaysian chef moves to Doha for work he's ''cheap labour forces''....check yourself.

Had amazing experience with Qatar Airways. Fantastic food! Had the most delicious chicken biriyani on board ❤️
Proud of Qatar Airways 🇶🇦 from Tunisia 🇹🇳💕
Veg Indian food on Qatar is soo good 👍 ❤ keep it up more vegetarian indian food and also the fruit platter is always best and easy on the stomach option during my long flights ❤
What a blessing to see this video unfold before my eyes. Amazing, thank you so much for sharing this!
And I must admit their flight attendants are also professional and nice.
I fly Qatar airways last month and they served us a traditional food from my country and I can say it was the best I have ever had👌🏾👍🏾
I've flown Qsuite and Economy on Qatar and the food is always superb!
Which is even crazier to think about in the modern era
when I first joined Qatar, some of the aircraft had toasters and an omelette maker in the business class galley!
@@DesertHeat I believe that is still a feature that could be added to aircraft just most companies spec their aircraft without them. I only say that because military transport aircraft have those toasters, convection ovens, hot plates and of course the most important ever present water boiler/coffee maker
Qatar is absolutely winning with offerings like this, I've flown them a number of times and always been impressed by the entire product.
Good job, really appreciate the hard work behind the curtain..
Personally I enjoyed it many times for the last 7 years.
Now I want to fly Qatar even though I have nowhere to go
As a Kiwi I'm always excited to see a nod to little old New Zealand in videos, but this is even cooler because I've always raved about our airline food and it's cool to see it recognised here
Been to on air Qatar and to Doha at least 4 time. Truly the best airline and very fair tickets . Beautiful people
Wow, super to watch ❤👍
Food on Qatar airways is always a treat. Food at their lounges are delicious too. I am addicted to their eggplant dips in their Arabic mezze and can't get enough of them. Amazing in the air, but service on the ground like baggage handling is abysmal. The only two airlines that are consistent in the air and on the ground are ANA and JAL. I had the best lobster bisque at the JAL first class lounge at Narita in 2014. It was phenomenal. ❤
When I was a child, I loved flying as the food was always delicious.
Great content! Real picture of airline catering operation. Managing high volume daily 24/7 with the highest standards is impressive!!!
The food I had was personally a food that I would go out to buy. I was astonished , QR is GOAT
Hope they r paid well
Do you have any reason to think they might not be?
@@kimberlywoodbury1739qatars well know for using slave labour
Yes countries r Qatar r known for exploitation of labour.
I love Qatar Airways! The Qsuite is really comfortable and conducive especially for long haul flights! The FAs are also very accommodating and kind. 😊
I will build an elementary school soon
I will have this exact way of cooking fresh healthy clean breakfast lunch and dinner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ five stars all the way 🙏🏼
Boy those pretzels are making me thirsty.
That's why Qatar Airways is my favourite
Interesting ! For some reason I've always been fascinated by airline food. Obviously some is bad, but some airlines do a good job, it's amazing they can create good quality meals at scale. I wonder if there are any cookbooks that focus on airline meals ?
Mantap bgt.. kebersihannya juga wow.. bener2 tertutup.
Food looks fresh and delicious.
I was thinking about this and then saw your comment thank you for the information!
Can confirm. The Food Quality and taste of QR was Awesome!!
5 star quality!
The subtle jab at competitors 5:18 😆
Now do a story about the wages and conditions of the workers from the 38 countries.
Qatar has always been my 1st choice when am booking myself
I can remember 40 years ago - the best from the US to Europe was found on Air India.
Now it is on Turkish Airways.
Air France used to hover in third place - but I could never complain,
No it never was. Alitalia and Iran Air had the best
@ Lmao did you get diarrhoea?
I flew from Joburg to Phnom Penh and I made sure I ate EVERYTHING...all the food was delicious.
Business class was a great experience. Doha Airport was a weird experience though. Dont think I could live there or Dubai.
Kudos to the efforts to implement the whole complex system!
I miss casseroles so much…😭 should have eaten more avml when I was working there ❤ best taste ever
haha me too
Qatar PR is working hard to improve the company image after numerous flops in 2022 and 2023. Happy workers in Qatar are making tasty food. Yeah, you convinced me for sure.
What flops 😂😂
What flops?😂..
😂😂 someone get jealous
This is actually incredible
not many countries has excess to extremely cheap labour forces, that's why not much airlines produce foor on their own
''excess cheap labour forces'' - oh that's what you call '' work expats'' that are not working in the West I forgot. When a French chef moves to New York he's an expat, but when a Malaysian chef moves to Doha for work he's ''cheap labour forces''....check yourself.
11:55 emptying you almonds onto the airplane table is psychotic
