    Cory, I just wanted to say I wish you nothing but peace and happiness. I found your channel on TH-cam about two weeks ago when I got a new tank and decided to really dive into being the best fish keeper I could be, researching the web brought me to you. I now really appreciate your overall demeanor and dedication to providing the public with great information for our tanks! Thanks for what you Do! Sincerely, A Nurse

    Watching the replay while setting up my quarantine tank for my new pearl gourami. I'm in Canada and it's really hard to get decent meds here so I'm religious about quarantining thanks to my Coop education. I'm so glad I got into the Coop right when I got into the hobby because I've never had a problem with disease in my tanks...thanks to the quarantining!

    I heard about all of the terrible things about snails when I first got into live plants. I was afraid of getting them. I ordered plants from you and got some "pest" bladder snails. I was worried, but saw you speak highly of snails on your channel. 🐌Now I see them as a free gift. This great little creature that came on a plant, states away, that does a fantastic job in my tanks, and I get it for free! Team Snail here! 🥰 I vote for a snail on a future coin, or perhaps a Team Snail t-shirt.

    I've got some terrible poop smeared walls/ceiling/floor stories from Sarasota County jail... I used visit that place too often in my 22 year heroine addiction, glad I'll never have live there again since I am now 62 months sober...! Only addicted to aquariums now, 50+ running and just brought home 87 more from a wholesaler who went outta business....! Thanks for all the free education y'all provide...! Keep up your awesomeness and go enjoy some nature today...!!!

    I agree with your comments on snails. I have two ten gallon planted tanks, with pothos hanging out of them. I have the bladder snails from the plants and assassin snails (which don't kill anything 😂) I don't even have any filter running at the moment! And the fish are spawning and I only have to clean every 3 or 4 weeks!

    Snails are a yes for me, always have been. It always fascinates me the various ways people successfully keep fish. I use AC suction cups for all kinds of things, they are the BEST suction cups I've ever come across.
    👍💖👍
    P/S Station Wagons for the win! I'm currently looking for a new-to-me station wagon for the fact that my yard sale and flea market finds never get wet if an unexpected rain comes up. My son has an old truck but too many times things have been rained on or smaller things have blown right out the back of the truck. Nerd fact...I love the Vista Cruiser from That 70s Show, lol.

    Missed the stream by taking the goldfish to the vet. Swim bladder issue. Hopefully he keeps going. Meds first, then maybe the vet will deflate it manually (his fins got shredded and munched on when he got stuck in the main tank 125 gallon). I've never had much success once a fish gets a swim bladder issue (usually just palliative care until they pass). I'm hopeful the vet can help, but so far the odds are at about 20%. I will say this is the most expensive fish I own...by a wide margin now. But at least I will know I tried my best to help him.

    In facebook reels one day, I saw a guy on a video say never use oven cleaner, and the cleaning cycle on the oven. Because toxic fumes. A few reels later the same guy says, if you have black caked on crud on a pan, use oven cleaner, and the cleaning cycle on the oven. I never watch his shorts.

    How do you recommend dealing with a situation I’m having in a 10 gallon tank where every time I feed my fish/shrimp, the snail get there first and the others can’t get anything (shrimp pellets/rapashy). These bladder snails breed faster than tribbles!

    Here’s the thing about sumps. Corey doesn’t care because he doesn’t mind seeing equipment. Totally reasonable but doesn’t work for me. The best reason for a freshwater sump is to achieve a pristine look with no equipment in the tank. Coupled with an internal overflow, all side of the tank look pristine, even the back! this clean look is unparalleled for me.

    • @readysetawesome
      @readysetawesome ปีที่แล้ว

      I was watching an older video today where Corey talks about ways to make your tank & fish LOOK better, he says "hide all the equipment!" so we do agree on that. But really a sump is actually the perfect answer!

    I don't like snails because they multiply too fast. I can't give them away. I live in a tiny community. I have driven them a 3hr round trip away to re home them. A week later, there are too many more. So I rarely get plants. Plus they produce a lot of waste. I only had 2 plants, now I have none, got rid of the whole lot. I'm done with plants

    • @TheVulcanBard
      @TheVulcanBard ปีที่แล้ว

      You might be feeding your tank too much. The last time I had an explosion of snails, I cut back food a BUNCH and they ended up dying back a lot within a few weeks. Turns out I was over feeding my fish because they didn't even notice that I was feeding them less.
