What happens if you break no contact with your ex?
Coach Lee explains in this video that when you break no contact with your ex that you, essentially, reset the clock on no contact.
This doesn't include situations where you must speak to your ex boyfriend or ex girlfriend because you share property or have children together.
In those situations you should discuss what is necessary and then move on with your day as quickly, but politely, as possible.
When you break no contact, you delay the process of getting your ex to feel the consequences of the breakup.
Immediately after the breakup it's important to apply the no contact rule because your ex is in a period of determination and relief.
They are determined to go through with the breakup and are relieved that they have done it.
It wasn't something that they looked forward to, but they felt that breaking up with you was best for them for their future.
If you go into no contact right after the breakup, you ensure that the relief period is a short as possible so that your ex can be concerned, doubt their decision and start feeling some loss.
Right after the breakup, you are the one who feels most of the loss because you were powerless.
You had no control over the breakup. It was all your ex.
So you felt loss whereas your ex simply made a decision.
In order to get your ex back, they have to feel loss and that is what no contact does.
That is why, when you break no contact, you delay the process of getting back together and lower the chances of getting back together at all.
It doesn't mean that you have ruined your chances, but you certainly haven't helped yourself by breaking no contact.
Coach Lee encourages you, in this video, to stay in no contact with your ex boyfriend or ex girlfriend if you want them back.
It is key if you want a reconciliation for the relationship. Though it might be difficult, if you truly want your ex back, there are some things you must do that aren't easy.
You will most likely think that it is worth it if it helps you to get your boyfriend or girlfriend back.

If they aren't fighting to be with you or trying to reach out to you to reconcile, they're not the right person for you. The right person will try. They will make an effort. They will value you and when you're giving the wrong person all your focus, you're missing out on that possibility of meeting the right person.
It's true actually. People who really care and want you will always reach out even if you fight argue. People who are not interested will dump you after a fight. You will always walk on eggshell with such people. You can't fight or argue or criticize because the moment you do it they will dump you and then you will be guilty and sad because you love them and honestly they don't care
Sometimes the "fighting to be with you" might be to break up. To heal and maybe start over. I believe it's very strong of the dumper to also take the time and really think about their desire, as well as the dumpee

In all honesty, you shouldn't be too hard on yourself. I think it's normal to fight for a relationship for a short period of time before giving up. You did what you could at this point, you can't fight alone. Now you can walk away with the "at least I tried" mentality.
Same here, fought whilst still in the relationship for months of her telling me her feelings for me are subsiding. Finally after 3 months I packed my stuff and said I'm done, told her she can call me if she wants to, but I wont be waiting for her. On 1 week no contact today

@@pvtruestmusic hey man, after 3,5 weeks she called, so I thought, here we go she misses me. Turns out I had some tax forms that came in. So I came by when she was working and picked up ALL my possessions and left my keys. This was about 15 days ago, I reset my no contact countdown from then. I'm getting allot better, but not knowing if she's having a hard time or not seems to keep being a hard part. I guess the longer I wait she'll start thinking the same thing. Best thing now is not to wait for her and actually try and move on. Same for you man, don't watch these videos as much anymore, but if you really have to, watch them about moving on, not how to get her back.

@STACEEY SWOPE EXCELLENT...I HAD THAT EPIPHANY LAST ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO. !! Since then I have gotten side tracked from moving on.. But the FALSE HOPE IS EVIL and must be extinguished. Coaches say real healing only begins after you give up any hope of reconciliation. My ex monkey branched to her new guy before she dumped me. I have been struggling with trying to engage her in conversation and confirm it. I know her past and she is not secure enough to NOT have a bf, so I'm sure she monkey branched. Coach Craig admonished those of us with avoidant ex's to be understanding. I fully fucking understand her and why she acts as she does. But that does not diminish the pain she has brought upon me. However i that spirit , I said a silent prayer of forgiveness to her for those deceitful actions, because she can not do other wise. I knwo you will struggle with moving onward. We can chat and give support. Hugs, i know the pain. I have not even had an opportunity to say one word to my ex since Nov 2017.

While coming towards the end of this video, my ex texted me for the first time (3 weeks into no contact) And said that she was sorry for the way things ended, and that she really appreciated everything I did for her, and that she would love to catch up sometime. STAY STRONG PEOPLE. IT REALLY DOES WORK OUT IN YOUR FAVOR!

From a risk management perspective, reaching out to the dumper increases the odds of them doing it again and expecting you to fix it (in the unlikely case that they want to get back together in the first place). If the dumper is so fearful that they can't get themselves to contact you, what are the chances of having a healthy relationship with someone like that? It's better to just move on.

Only dismissive avoidants or someone with extreme anxiety would not be able to bring themselves to reach out. You don't want to be with either type!
This is what I'm trying to drill into my head. You're teaching them that they can just leave at any moment, you'll bend over backwards and contort yourself, and somehow you'll "win" them over again... for them to only leave again without putting any effort for them to be better. Rinse and repeat.

Tomorrow makes it 7 weeks since I've been doing no contact. My look, way of thinking, financial gain and wardrobe has changed for the better. Happy for that. As far as how I'm feeling emotionally, I'm fucked up. The longer I've been away from her, the worst I feel. I miss that girl like crazy. I've been dating others since we broke up and I'm so disinterested in them it's not even funny. They don't compare to her. My ex is the one for me. I'm sure of it.

Deciding I'd had enough of the emotional mental abuse I got from my Ex, and cutting all contact is one of the hardest things I've ever done. I loved him, but know for him to treat me the way he did wasn't love. I've had enough of going back to him, and although I miss him etc, I know I'm strong enough to move on with time and effort and strength.

Broke no contact cause when we broke up I told her I don’t take anyone back and basically I closed the door on her cause I was bitter. I reached out after 2 months she was shocked cause I told her she wasn’t going to hear from me ever again and now we’re meeting tonight. Stay strong kings and queens, it’s ok to break no contact at times, just don’t keep a lot of expectations, focus on your purpose and live day by day. Things will fall into place the way they’re supposed to

We met at another time but she told me she reached out to another ex for closure so I knew she wasn’t completely all there with the idea of us getting back so I didn’t even bring it up. That was in summer of 2022. Last year we met but also didn’t went anywhere. Later I texted her to see how she was doing and she hits me with “not to be rude but how can I help you?” lol I never texted her again after that.

1 week today. Your videos have kept me going coach. Everytime I get close to breaking, which so far has been many times a day, I come to your channel and watch/rewatch your videos. At this point, i’ve really not heard anything at all from her. No breadcrumbs nothing, complete silence. I think it’s safe to say it’s over but i’m feeling much better after a month, gym, meditation, new friends, new activities, new books, new courses for career. I obviously didn’t mean much to her at all but that’s okay, that’s the best i could give her at the time so i know i tried my best.

@@physiciansassist1 not much to update sadly man, up to 40something days no contact, ex does watch my stories and seems to be curious but I’m at the point now where I am moving on with my life, or atleast moving forward…your life doesn’t end because your ex doesn’t want to be in it, honestly as weird as it sounds I’ve grown so much as a person these last few months that a part of me is truly grateful she dumped me because I never would have dumped her and never would have experienced this growth, I am now so much more confident with what I am willing to put up with, working out getting into the best shape I’ve ever been in and just overall proving to myself that life is good even without your ex, as much as I wanted her back, we both had and have a lot of growing to do and I for one am done being upset over something I didn’t end and I tried to work on, stay strong people I was just like you thinking this shit would never improve and now I’m here saying it gets better just like everyone else… it takes a lot of time but slowly you will realize that relationships do start and sadly end but new ones are always around the corner!! I'm at about 2 weeks in and it's just finally getting a little easier. Once you accept and work on moving on things looks alot different. I said what you said about life not ending. It really feels like it but now I see what it truly feels like to move on.

These videos are giving me hope and strength during the weakest time in my life. I'd be doing ALL the wrong things if it wasn't for Coach Lee. My ex is casually reaching out via text, calling, hinting at getting getting together etc. Luckily I found this channel so I know how to act when we do meet in person again.
Ran into ex and her rebound at a store . She has changed her hair and I at first didn't recognize her . I turned around from cashier and noticed her standing behind me with rebound . I had a large amount of money in my hand and she stared right at it . I showed no emotion and walked out . I'm at 3 months no contact . Feeling like the prize . I look forward to the road ahead . She reached out after just one week, and as soon as I opened up a little bit she withdrew again saying eventually that "she closed up, built up a wall around". I went back to no contact and after 10 more days, she reached out again, saying "she can't do without me completely" posting our favorite songs all over Facebook, and how much she thinks of me, following a few days later writing to me she doesn't know what she want's, and that she has troubles with trust... so she went into being cold again.
I'm done. Each time, I'm reliving the breakup again, and again... Started a new job just a few days ago and I need a clear mind otherwise I'll screw it up. I'm moving on, for good.

I'm 35 and my wife is 34. We had a passionate and loving 18 years lng relationship,married for 15 years,two beautiful,smart and well raised children. Teenagers now. Our path was a rocky road from the start and throughout this time,yet our love was strong. Our families never accepted our relationship. Even try to sabotage us multiple times. Five years ago i started to work alot and travel and she felt abbandoned but it was necessary for our existance and she never really realized my sacrifice by leaving them, being home only 4 months per year. Last 45 days she became distant and finally last week she would barely look at me. Two days ago she said it..."I don't love you as a husband any more". Something literally died within me instantly. I said "If you're unhappy,I will not force you to be with me. We spoke calmly,very emotionally. She went to her sisters place and she will be away as much as possible for next 2 weeks cause after that I'm gone to another country for 3 months. Now..I'm not calling,texting and not planning of doing so. Just can't wait to leave. While I'm devastated. I just know that I want her back.

Ok bottom line. When some one leaves you let them go! They have been thinking and planning for months-years! They don’t love you. They may like what you have done for them but they are ready for their next victim-yes victim. They don’t know how to love. They don’t know honesty, respect or how to give. They are for themselves. Let them go- no contact them permanently. Their season in your life is over. God is showing you that. Let them go!! Embrace what He has for you!!
I was 20 days no contact and watched Dan Bacon's video on when not to use no contact and convinced myself reaching out was right. The conversation was fine until I decided to talk about the past.
I knew I wasn't ready to reach out because my emotions weren't in check and now I'm resetting the clock. She was still so genuine and kind, yet disconnected from anything serious that I brought up. I realize as much as I have to work on, so does she.

Day 10 of NC. It seems like it gets harder as the days pass but the idea of losing my progress and ruining our reunion (which WILL happen) is keeping me from breaking it. I’ll post an update as it arrives. I am certain we will be reunited and back together. Sometimes this is the mentality to have. Best of luck for all experiencing this situation. Stay strong and positive.

We did reunite after 1 or 2 months, together for another six months, at most. But let me tell you that what’s meant to be over should just be left as is. Better to let it go. It’s no use to keep hanging on to something that is not worth it. Much better place emotionally after not being with that person anymore. One of the best decisions of my life

I am at 2 and half months of no contact. My ex hasn't reached out to me. I'm thinking...at this point he thinks I'm mad. I must say this no-contact is hard, but I'm following Coach Lee advice. Hang in there everyone...it's hard!

@@Moonstruck292 @moonstruck292 Saw her at the wedding and had a good time, just pretty much talked as friends with her initiating most of the conversation, couldn't really flirt or do much then since a few of her close friends/coworkers were around. Kind of made a indirect joke about getting back together and she kind of brushed it off, I'm sure she's still adamant on not getting back together, but didn't bring up anything relationship/breakup related otherwise. Texted each other a couple times since then but nothing much.
We agreed to meet again for lunch or dinner sometime in the next couple weeks to catch up when she's back from her trip. After the breakup happened she did say she wanted to be FWB (her idea) so not sure what will happen but I'm just gonna go into it with no expectations and have a good time.

If any of you are watching this late 2020, keep your head up, stay strong. Currently I’m on week 3 of no contact. She reached out that first week after 4 days, convo died and I haven’t heard from her since. I’ve missed her a ton but I also recognize I have a lot of growing to do. Who knows what the future holds, but I’m determined to show that my resolve has never been stronger. Be the best version of yourself, be the prize, and let yourself attract what you deserve. If that’s your ex coming back, then that is what the universe intended.
I broke no contact and realized there's nothing there it was awkward I just missed him want to see how he was, but it was wack i wish he never answered. helped me move on to kno that he wasn't thinking but me what so ever. Move on if a person doesn't miss you in your absence then did you really matter while you were present,it made me think. Do no contact to heal ur self don't do it for the other person back. I was hurt so bad, that I even took up the offer, hoping id grow on her again, but it was a failed reconnect anyway. We met, everything was very good, but it was the 'hot and cold' thing. My fault too. I came on too strong, and then got emotional when I wasn't even getting what id expect from a good friend. Then she accused me of using it as a "cover", when she was the one who led me on, saying stuff like "restart", and "see where it goes". If only id seen these vids before, I may of had a chance. I feel so stupid now! NC for a month.

. what if we contact with them and thay rejected us . They don't want us anymore..we will get hurt once again and we will lose our self respect..I will stick to the rule.. don't contact them till they contact you.. they have this feel of rejaction..and we are also. They got the courage to leave us behind now they got to have the courage to contact us at least to say sorry.. that's it.
That's why it's not for everyone. If you can't handle being rejected again, you shouldn't do it. But if you feel that you'll always regret not knowing for sure, it could make sense. It's certainly not my favorite option. I rarely recommend it.

True my experience was he left me I did the calling n all he never replied it was so hurtful because I never treated him wrong he messed up since he never replied I'm in no contact already 8 months I will never reach out to him he knows he messed up n couldn't face me so if he wants to know of me he knows how to reach me but I know he never will n I accepted that
Yes, I’ve been patient and understanding for 10 months and my ex has been hot/cold. This weekend he ignored my texts- I’m not accepting his rude treatment. He can now have what he wants in abundance.

I broke no contact after 3 days. It was a long term relationship. I intended to send a clean slate message because I said something hurtful at the worst timing before he dumped me. In the message I apologized, said how I respect his decision and wish him well, but I did mention my seizures and anxiety and that it would help if he would reach out. I don't try to get back together at this moment and I plan to take time for myself, just wanted to apologize and release of anxiety. We are both dealing with mental issues and stress. I know that he feels bad for what he did especially since I have to go to the hospital, but my timing was horrible as well. Unfortunately I was too honest and showed that I care too much instead of keeping it short, I was stupid enough to thank him for the good times, but what happens happens. This is affecting my health so I couldn't wait. I have a serious neurological condition. Hopefully it will not be too late to go in no contact after this stupid action.

Day 15. I wanna reach out to him the day before yesterday and I searched for this kind of video for advice.. It helped me realize something. And now, unfortunately, I wanna reach out again cause the pain is excruciating.. But I reminded myself again with this video right now.. Idk how many times I'm gonna watch this but this keeps me on hold.
I say don't do it unless you had a great flawless relationship all the way to the end that ended based on circumstance.
Even this I personally say don't do it until 6 months - a year. Preferably a year (if you can catch them single and looking)
