Definetely gonna give this a look, it's pretty much 1:1 the exact idea I had when VisionOS was shown off. Just make an app that utilizes bookmarks and launches the web versions of everything. There's a web version of Apple Photos, Calender, iCloud, Music, everything. Glad to see someone actually do it!

I can’t hear the video where I’m sitting at the moment but is this just converting quest apps to look like Apple or is it actually using Apple apps? I have a vision but I want a quest as well to hopefully use it to test my AVP app I’m building

As an avid Apple Vision Pro user, I’ll say this is a nice job by the developers who made it. I still love my Vision Pro headset and use it daily but this is cool to see.

@@bunit8 productivity like 80% of the time and then the evenings after work I’ll stream sports and other things like HBO max, Apple TV and now Netflix with the 3rd party app. I have an Apple key board that makes typing seamless, plus iPhone and MacBooks for work so the ecosystem integration is extremely convenient. It really has replaced my tv to a large degree honestly.

The synchronization with my MacBooks, keyboard, and iPhone and AirPods is extremely fluid and doing my job in the Vision Pro became a lot more fun and smooth. Tbh, my quest gathers dust now. The $4k price tag was a non-factor for me but I genuinely love it.

Awesome! Yeah this one is a bit more more robust but you can get a lot of it done with Spatial TV I don’t think spatial TV does this many windows If i can recall.

Yo! @@bringhurstvr! yeah it’s gotten better but it’s not perfect by any means. I think apps like this try their best but still can get tricked if you’ve moved to a different space or turned a little. Fluid the app that’s more focused on work spaces has a setting to actually save layouts to get around this. There’s some vids on it in the playlists
Been using the app for month or so.... And wow, the app is great. Constant improvements and additions to the app portfolio... Great buy and with some fine tuning it could be top MR app for MQ3. It gives many great apps that are not even available on MQ3 by default.

Seriously, even just using my Quest 3 to try my best to endure washing dishes/loading/unloading the dishwasher seems very intriguing. I know I can do that without this app too, but this just makes the UI look so slick!
The trick is having a super comfortable head strap and facial interface. If you make the headset SUPER comfortable then using it like that is actually pretty fun!

I love the app and have been using it for a while now. It still has a long way to go and it’s a bit slow/laggy sometimes but it is in app lab and updating constantly. I wish they would make the UI transparent like the Apple Vision Pro instead of being opaque, but I am a sucker for good UIs and love the AVP UI so that’s kind of me nitpicking.
I'm still holding out for an affordable PCVR option that does pass-through and eye tracking at Quest 3 price point with the same overall dimensions as a Bigscreen Beyond headset.
Keep me posted. I’m waiting for that unicorn myself! 😄 no but seriously that would be awesome… I’m hoping this open OS and hardware freedom gets us there.

@@TheConstruct_VR I found a way to do it with virtual desktop kinda. It will follow me around but I move too fast lol. I had to turn off boundaries in the quest developer settings. Thanks for the info I’ll I’ll check it out. Btw I just got a 14900k and upgraded ram from ddr4 to ddr5 and new ssd. Still can’t run ultra on virtual desktop on contractors showdown 120fps without flawless issues. I will need a 4080 or something better for that… always something else man lol

Yes, remember it’s a browser app so it logs in and displays max after signing in just like it would in safari or chrome or edge. You can see I had the library open on the right at 04:53. You can play a movie in the floating window. 👍🏽
I tried it, its not bad. They chose some truly useful web applications and widgets. I wonder if it supports eye tracking in quest pro? the only thing I thought though was it would be nice if it could expand youtube to a very large size, and play vr 180/vr 360 video or webxr, webvr.
I also always like to wear the quest when I do the dishes 😂But by the way: what about a mixed reality app that displays little aliens you can shoot while you are doing the dishes, vacuum-cleaning the room etc.? This would be a great motivation!
Just bought the app off the back of this video. It's got huge potential. Still feels pretty early days and missing a bunch of QOL features (like text to speech, hand controls for opening keybard and app draw, copy paste) but its definitely one of the better apps doing this. I think i prefer this to Fluid.
Yeah I like fluid Because some of the things you mentioned above are already solid there. But for the “sexy” look and feel this one is more fun. Fluid feels more functional but time can be the difference for sure
So I absolutely love this app and use it all the time if I’m doing productivity things on standalone. But I am worried that because of how similar it is to vision OS that it will eventually get a case and desist from Apple.
Unfortunately that’s just tech these days. If the cost of the quest3 will set you back and you can live without it, there’s no harm in waiting … but there will always be one around the corner. Especially with the opening of the OS. (My 2 cents )

Type in the www. It behaved oddly for me too. But like I said in the video the desktop streamers are in alpha. I couldn’t get the Mac one to work and the windows one worked but with no mouse support in the app you’ll still need to be near your Pc and mouse just fYI!

Super weird I’ll ask in the discord but it eventually worked. I will say it was barely worth it though. There’s better ways to do Remote Desktop that work so much smoother. I’m just waiting for them to get back to putting work into the streamer at this point
@@TheConstruct_VR it didn't save the last time i placed window, and also there is a bug when i turn off and turn on my quest 3, all placed windows has moved. it already answered in discord and is still in dev's roadmap to save the last state, i think i wait to use it later
@@lokihasdied just about, yes it’s improved since this video actually. It still looks like you’re looking through a screen but it’s WAY clearer than when the quest 3 launched. Looks a little more grainy in headset because your eyes are so close to the screens

@@johnrobertson4944 yes Fluid allows you to add whatever web app as a shortcut. Spatial TV lets you add favorites with the star icon at the top as well
btw, how do you get this clear background? For me in mixed reality mode (not on spatial app) it's always blurry so I cannot even use my real keyboard or type blindly which is somehow annoying.
The short story is that the recording looks better than in headset. Your eyes are so close it looks far worse. Also v64 vastly improved the pass through quality. I would think everyone’s headset is on 64 at this point but you should check. I do recommend going to the accessibility settings and turning up the contrast to improve pass through a bit. It takes out some of the highlights and raises the blacks a bit. But this impacts everything not just pass though.
Hello I have the spatial app on my quest. What are you pressing on the iOS Photos app to get the larger pictures as all I can get is the thumbnail pictures and only can select one at a time?
There’s a little maximize icon (two arrows pointing away from each other) at the top of the window. That will maximize iCloud Photos and put a black. Background behind the photo
Not really there’s the iCloud and google equivalent of most of the same apps built in you have to sign in to the service you want to use. I guess the only advantage is that you’re likely already using all of these services if you’re an iPhone user .
Is Apple TV just for the website? If so, it’s not going to let me watch my purchased content. Therefore it’s not worth the money. You can’t choose a curved screen either.
@@janetwoodville3643 yep just the website. If curved screens and purchased content are what you’re looking for, this isn’t it. This comes up in the comments a lot, I wasn’t aware so many people were purchasing through Apple. Right now HdMI link is the only way to get it done
I haven’t spent enough time with Reality browser but Fluid would be my favorite browser productivity app at the moment. Spatial app for entertainment and pretending I have an AVP 😄
Haha. I wouldn’t say that, the AVP has a lot of “stuff” in it other than this pass through viewing experience. but this part is mostly what people want to experience. The AVP is charging you for a LOT of things you just can’t see at first glance.
It’s not a launcher in the traditional android sense. It only launches the Web apps configured inside this app. So to answer your question,, no it won’t show any apks. You have to launch the spatial app first and then open a web app.
That’s awesome. Had my dumb @$$ excited to try out an app I can’t use and don’t need. Why am I jealous? 😅 Looking forward to telling my friends about this. If they can approximate the AVP experience for less, more power to them.
🤣🤣 exactly! Like why not. Honestly I think once people can try it for a more reasonable price they may change their mind about wanting it altogether. This is a cool way to just give it a shot long term.

Just bought the app off the back of this video.
It's got huge potential. Still feels pretty early days and missing a bunch of QOL features (like text to speech, hand controls for opening keybard and app draw, copy paste) but its definitely one of the better apps doing this. I think i prefer this to Fluid.
Yeah I like fluid Because some of the things you mentioned above are already solid there. But for the “sexy” look and feel this one is more fun. Fluid feels more functional but time can be the difference for sure

So I absolutely love this app and use it all the time if I’m doing productivity things on standalone. But I am worried that because of how similar it is to vision OS that it will eventually get a case and desist from Apple.

I bought the app after watching you're video. Thank you for the code! Is anyone else having issues connecting to their website> I'm trying to download the streamer and website is un accessible. *edit* And their Discord isn't available.
Type in the www. It behaved oddly for me too. But like I said in the video the desktop streamers are in alpha. I couldn’t get the Mac one to work and the windows one worked but with no mouse support in the app you’ll still need to be near your Pc and mouse just fYI!

Super weird I’ll ask in the discord but it eventually worked. I will say it was barely worth it though. There’s better ways to do Remote Desktop that work so much smoother. I’m just waiting for them to get back to putting work into the streamer at this point

@@johnrobertson4944 not that I’m aware of. I know some other apps allow adding bookmarks but it seems the Spatial App only adds what they have ready/working

@@johnrobertson4944 yes Fluid allows you to add whatever web app as a shortcut. Spatial TV lets you add favorites with the star icon at the top as well
btw, how do you get this clear background? For me in mixed reality mode (not on spatial app) it's always blurry so I cannot even use my real keyboard or type blindly which is somehow annoying.
The short story is that the recording looks better than in headset. Your eyes are so close it looks far worse. Also v64 vastly improved the pass through quality. I would think everyone’s headset is on 64 at this point but you should check.
I do recommend going to the accessibility settings and turning up the contrast to improve pass through a bit. It takes out some of the highlights and raises the blacks a bit. But this impacts everything not just pass though.

Yes, as long as you don’t play another audio source in a different window. It only streams one audio source at a time.

Hello I have the spatial app on my quest. What are you pressing on the iOS Photos app to get the larger pictures as all I can get is the thumbnail pictures and only can select one at a time?
There’s a little maximize icon (two arrows pointing away from each other) at the top of the window. That will maximize iCloud Photos and put a black. Background behind the photo
The pointing at my hand thing doesn’t work any fixes?
Try focusing more on the outline of your hand hitting the launcher icon or keyboard icon not your actual hand

Not really there’s the iCloud and google equivalent of most of the same apps built in you have to sign in to the service you want to use. I guess the only advantage is that you’re likely already using all of these services if you’re an iPhone user .

No this is just a browser app so anything that runs in a browser… no other full apps in here

Is Apple TV just for the website? If so, it’s not going to let me watch my purchased content. Therefore it’s not worth the money. You can’t choose a curved screen either.

I haven’t spent enough time with Reality browser but Fluid would be my favorite browser productivity app at the moment. Spatial app for entertainment and pretending I have an AVP 😄

Haha. I wouldn’t say that, the AVP has a lot of “stuff” in it other than this pass through viewing experience. but this part is mostly what people want to experience. The AVP is charging you for a LOT of things you just can’t see at first glance.

It’s not a launcher in the traditional android sense. It only launches the Web apps configured inside this app. So to answer your question,, no it won’t show any apks. You have to launch the spatial app first and then open a web app.
