Is the movie resolution in VR Chat better than BigScreen? I couldn't figure out how to improve not that environment resolution, but the movie resolution. I watch these same files on my 130" projector screen so I know ht image quality can be vastly improved.
I feel many of the videos here are better quality then big screen
@BearskiVR thanks for the reply. I didn't realize that the VR chat room was hosting their own 3D files. In BigScreen I was using SBS encoded rips from my collecting. But, the resolution looked a lot like a lower bit rate than the native file. Pretty annoying! I'm going to check this out. Thanks for taking the time.
How do you keep other people from changing the movie?
Make an instance where it’s invite only. I included it in the vid.
@@BearskiVR Thank you. I was watching the video while working so I must have missed it. Keep up the great work. This app is awesome. Now, I’m off to watch movies before they take it down. ;)
@@heathnortonflag sounds like a plan, bro!
Have a good one!
Ok interesting but does this work lying down?
It should, laying down mode changes the headsets orientation as a whole.
@@BearskiVR cool thanks mate
@@popcornshiner3937 cheers
Thanks sir
Thanks for watching!
Hey Is it possible to upload films in German? Or is there a site that has German films
Thanks for help
Definitely possible but not by me, I’m not the creator of the VR world.
Sorry I can’t be of more assistance.
Movies are playing as two images side by side - how to I fix that?
So looking through one lens shows two movies side by side?
It should be one image slightly skewed in both lenses causing the 3d effect.
What movie were you trying to watch?
@@BearskiVRI don’t recall - picked one at random. But I played around with this instance, and got varied and inconsistent results. Some movies were fine, some were side-by-side dual images, some were audio only with a white screen, some were only top half of screen (extremely horizontally stretched aspect ratio), some were slightly shrunken aspect ratio (like a “black bar” covering about 10-15% of the bottom), and some just generated a “file not available” error. *Shrug*
Works great, thanks!!!
Cheers, thanks for watching!
Much thx . I hope the cinema lasts before it gets taken down
Enjoy the experience, best medium in my honest opinion.
Damn now that u said it theres a high chance this is temporary. As free things gain popularity they lose their benefits.
Honestly, I couldn’t say. This has been a thing for a long while.
Looks at plex and big screen. They do the same thing with streaming media from a host. There’s no transferring or distributing of the original file.
Really is hard to say if this may go away.
I dont have the option to enable urls. The menu is different
Can you use PSVR2 for this ?!
Does psvr have vr chat?
Great Video
Wow didn't know meta quest doesn't have a native app for this. Why do we have to sort out to 3rd party app just to experience something that the device is suppose to be used for.
@@jonathan-us5jm it’s actually a really crazy thing.
Meta could set up a streaming app for 3d movies and make a killing.
i dont understand. how can it be better then a fsbs 3d movie in skybox ?
Technically wouldn’t be. But also wouldn’t be free either.
how do you like pause the movie>
Go to the movie selector and click the pause button. May be another way but not sure.
Thanks!!!
No worries, thanks for watching.
Excellent !. In the theatre how can put the lights down ?
Not sure if possible. I think an alternate app could augment it.
Will look into it.
Can this be launched from a pc?
Definitely, it’s just a vrchat world.
@@BearskiVR I've tried to launch it and it doesn't launch.
@@BearskiVR I got it to work with my Quest 3. Watched Avatar. Thanks
@@SmokinJames pc linked or just stand alone?
Cheers
@@BearskiVR Stand alone. I also got Steam to run it as well as the quest. Not a big deal. Thanks
Been trying but not working for me, just a blank screen
Strange, you turned on the unknown urls setting?
@@BearskiVR 🤣 I skipped over the terminal to set the movie, then had to explain the unknown url to somebody else having issues , mo.ents later🤣
@@nyaatama8529 Oof, but you got it done. good stuff.
Have a good one!
@@BearskiVR Yep and thanks!
Gives me more 3D options!
Can you pause stuff?
Pain in the ass, but you need to go back to the movie select and press pause.
@@BearskiVR yeah, just figured that out. Assume it’s gone if you leave and come back in, but small price to pay, cheers
No worries
Thanks
Welcome
i still prefer big screen, but good tutorial

Do the films update often? Anyone seen any film changes??
Up to the dev of the world. I haven’t noticed any new ones since posting.
When I try to click on a movie, it says access denied URL blocked.
@@jglassman1122 did you toggle the allow access setting on?
@@BearskiVR When I was initially doing the setup, it asked for permission. For my media library. And something else and I clicked yes
@@jglassman1122 here’s another permission you need to toggle at 2:44
@@BearskiVR I got it working. I appreciate your help. Is there anyway to make the screen fullscreen or do you just have to walk your character to the position you like?
@@jglassman1122 walk your avatar over to where you like.
The creator made it to be get the cinema experience with friends/family. Had my own watch party a few times. It’s a riot.
This is great. I checked it out today.
Cheers!
Good looking out!
🤘have a blast!
1 tried it but it always closes before themovie is over
I was in a private room and movie quit before it was over, it is a great place to watch 3d and I dont know if it is just some movies or all
Great video bro
Cheers, thanks for watching!
😎👍

Are you trying to get this pulled?
No, and it shouldn’t. Big screen and plex have been around for ever. Should be a similar line of logic that this wouldn’t have an issue.
Then again, that’s an assumption. So 🤷
Big screen makes you pay money to see 3d movies wich is a completely different thing. This one is essentially letting you watch pirated content and multiple other vr chat worlds have been taken down for this reason so this will too if it gets to popular.
@@linusnoam5301 Not true anymore.
Bigscreen doesnt offer the ability to rent vids anymore. You need to join hosted rooms. Been that way for a few years(ish) now.
@@linusnoam5301 I've never paid for a single movie in Bigscreen & I've seen tons of awesome new movies & 3D content.
I find it difficult to enjoy movies on the quest 3. The black levels are just so bad.
Interesting take. I’d say the quality is better than an actual movie theatre.
Have you tried changing your brightness settings to prevent wash out?
@BearskiVR the brightness makes still washed out but just less bright. Lighter movies look great. Tried to watch first ep house of the dragon season 2 and I just couldn't enjoy it.
@@ivan-j4l9x Fair enough.
Maybe one day we'll get a dedicated 3d movie viewer with a movie library.
@BearskiVR that would be good but it effects gaming eith dark scenes. Have you seen how washed out arizona sunshine 2 is? I wish Meta would just make a quest 3 local dimming verson.
@@ivan-j4l9x Is there a Gamma control for AS2?
good but low res.
Smelly
He did the thing! He did the thing!
Only 720p! Too low quality for a SBS video!
I wouldn’t say all are 720p. But I concur. Best best is to trip the video yourself and play natively.
I can choose subtitles
No way, how?
Thanks smelly
HA, first person out of thousands. Kudos
nope, closed this video once you said "VRChat"
Why’s that?
@@BearskiVR oh I just hate VRChat lol. Every time Ive tried to use it, it has been a cesspool of screaming children and ear rape. I am sure the movie player is great though.
@@Xiantez ah, but what if I told you, you can make a private instance so only you. Or others via invite only can watch the movie?
@@BearskiVR That is definitely a useful option. Have you used Big Screen? Is it better or worse?
@@Xiantez worse. You’re at the mercy of the host and there’s no telling if it’ll be quality or bootleg.
Just took a look at Avatar, its not in 3D though
It is,there’s just scenes where the 3d really jumps out.

This solution obviously cannot be legal ... copyrights are overridden and a lawyer might sew you
Not me specifically as I’m not the host of the server. Neither am I showing anything that falls under copyright nor redistributing IP.
But I appreciate your concern.
bigscreen already does this
This is slightly different. No need for a host to play the vid. Your choice, and can be a private lobby.
movies in hindi launages
It doesn't work
Did you follow all the steps?
Not better than Bigscreen😂
Unless Big screen received an update recently, I call cap.
