I thought it was good generally. I think a lot of 3rd party browsers apps that run on quest would be greatly improved by supporting web AR / XR and VR360 VR180 video formats like the quest browser does. Maybe those features aren't easily available in the APIs used to make this. The other thing would be making sure something like youtube could be expanded out to the size of a wall or something. I don't know if it supports eye tracking for quest pro, but that ought to be a good feature for this app, to match the AVP.
The option to expand the cinema wall would be epic! From what I have read, there is no eye-tracking support yet. They also still need to implement direct touch functionality.
why the hell doesn't meta OS do this natively.. esp the dimming of the pass through for movies.. also does the browser play streaming services at full HD? i hate it when browsers can't play it at all or has only 720p

Video quality was good, to be honest, nothing bad to say about it, but haven't tried out HBO (don't have an account, same goes for the other streaming apps, only tried TH-cam). Do not have a Mac, so I can not comment on that. Also, im afraid. How do you mean trying it on mobile devices? Do you mean the spatial app itself?

sad thing is its already going the wrong way on quest horizon OS.. popup horizon menu at startup and 3 out of 5 possible apps in the menu cant be removed.
I think there are many things that Quest 3 and VP could learn from each other. I bought this app, but it has issues with streaming-sometimes it's laggy, or the audio and video aren't in sync, or there's a delay. I hope Quest 3 can design the app to be simpler, or that the developers of the app can fix the bugs. I'm still willing to pay for it
No hand tracking? So you have wet hands washing dishes and you have to use controller? Virtual Desktop has hand tracking and mixed reality mode, what makes this different from Virtual Desktop?
The amount of built in apps that can be placed anywhere to create a personal environment. If you know beforehand that you're going to wet your hands, I'd advice to create your environment first and than do your tasks. That's how I roll it.

I haven't messed with Virtual Desktop so I don't know if you can have multiple monitors but it gives you access to your entire PC so you can access all the apps you need through the PC ?
@@CannedCam You can access the entire PC and it allows up to 3 monitors on VD if you own a Quest 3. If you want a fast and simple way to position endless windows of apps and widgets, even duplicates of the same, and place them anywhere you want them to stay, it can become a creative environment. You can turn your whole house into screens positions over several places. They both have their usecases. I like using VD when I am doing some serious work that's from my PC only. The spatial app is very handy for what I just mentioned.
sorry but the problem here is that the only input method is the virtual keyboad, no voice, no usb mouse or keyboard connetion. so multi tasking with his app will take 5x longer. youcan only air type for so long ithout arm fatigue
I haven't directly tried out my mouse and keyboard but on apps like VD, I could freely use my bluetooth mouse/keyboard by connecting it directly to my headset.
I was excited, at first I thought this was a way to organise Quest games. It really needs folders or something…. Or some kind of launcher. Looks interesting, worth keeping an eye on it. As the Vision Pro is so expensive I haven’t even bothered checking it out. Is it easy to add passwords etc. And save tabs? That’s such a hassle in VR. Thanks for the video.
Hey man, if you follow the link in the description from your phone, you should be able to purchase and send the installation to your headset with the Meta Quest app.
I bought it to try and liked it but it did seem slow when playing a video and also using a browser.... Also when. I went about my day the video stayed where it was docked . It was a shame it didn't have a mode where it came with me but I'm sure they can add that later
Haven't tried it out yet but when you grab the piece in order to move a window, you can hold it and perhaps drag it with you wherever you go? At the end it's still an early access product, curious how the full version is gonna turn out ^.^

Im no doctor so I cant give you medical advice but it seems that the radiation is about the same as holding your phone near your head or pocket, a laptop on your lap or a watch on your wrist.
If I could theme the interface so that everything was in triangles and hexagons so there are zero 90 degree angles, I'd be happy. And sweaty because of the bucket on my head. I'll just go into productivity mode with the headset on - first close music, photos, youtube and then fire up davinci resolve, vscode, sequel pro and half a dozen terminal windows .. and oh wow this isn't great for typing is it?
Quest 3 is no good for computer work. All that is just hype and a novelty. Also the passtrough is really bad. It does not look like the videos at all. The real power of VR right now is in games and 3d experiences. All other stuff is easily accomplished with you phone. Period.

When it comes to it's style, I agree, but the features the spatial app brings like the multiple positionable screens does make it rad. Quest should really implement something like that natively.

Can you turn the boundary off. Can I place things around the house. When you step out of the boundary in pass through it stops the app.

Is there settings for pass through fidelity? I just got the Quest 3 and the pass through camera seem fuzzy and pixelated.
No settings for that. It's just how the camera's are at this point. I advice to play in a well lit area, the fuzziness seems to be way less that way.
