    Come check out the latest in Over the Counter Hearing Aid technology as we break down and discuss the power of the Tuned app that runs these JVC Hearing Aids. What sets these apart from other OTC hearing aids is the powerful AI (artificial intelligence) assistant that can make changes and adjust your hearing aids based on the feedback you provide. This is definitely a new one for me so don't miss out!

    The battery system is very important, especially as we get older. Not only do rechargeables save money they help with your hands if you have arthritis. Manipulating small items becomes increasingly difficult. My present hearing aids don't lose function during the day as you suggest they will with their rechargeable batteries.

    Brian, I enjoy your TH-cam videos. I'm waiting to get into the VA for my hearing test in the beginning of July. I took a test on Signia's website and it shows I have mild hearing loss - almost all in the upper frequencies. I’m 58 years old and have a hard time hearing people in restaurants and any place with background noise - I give up on trying to have a conversation in these sort of places.
    Hopefully the VA will give me some good hearing aid options. If I was going to purchase OTC hearing aids I would consider the JVC EH-Z1500 - based on your review! Have you done a review of the Sony CRE-C10 hearing aids? Just wondering how they score out on your testing scale?
    Regards, Travis

    Wow, just wow! First time viewer and really impressed with your whole channel concept and approach.
    I’ll be checking out more of your videos.
    I did sound engineering six months for a reggae band about 35 years ago. During that time I basically taught myself how to do the job, what equipment the band really needed and talked them into spending the money to get decent equipment. They were very pleased with my results and longtime fans were impressed with how much the sound quality improved.
    This was before presets so I wrote a preset sheet for every song and changed settings sometimes during the song for various effects.
    Obviously, I learned all about EQ. We got one with 16 channels so I had a lot of control over quality, even to the point of adjusting as a room or venue got “hotter”.
    I would have liked to have seen EQ adjustments for the JVC over at least 8 channels to be able to more finely tune.
    These aids appeal to me for several reasons but I’m concerned about behind the ear because I wear glasses. I’ll search your channel, but have you done a video addressing this subject?
    Is there such a thing as a way to physically connect aids to the outside of glasses behind the ear so they become one unit?
    Thanks very much for a very well-produced video with excellent production quality!

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Actually, there is a way to connect them to your glasses. I just had a patient come in with these little black elastic bands that went around the glasses where they sit on top of your ears and the body of the hearing aid. I’ll see if I can find something that is made for this but glasses aren’t usually an issue. A lot of folks that wear hearing aids also wear glasses. Most do and have no complaints.

    Thank you for the great video. Do you think it could work with Moderate to Severe hearing loss?

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It possibly can, most OTC hearing aids are designed for mild to moderate losses, with any OTC hearing aid, you would be rolling the dice on whether or not you could use them with a more severe loss. If I saw your audiogram I could answer you more accurately. Sorry!

      I would be more than happy to if somebody either sent me a pair or sent me the money to buy a pair. Whoever makes the blade hearing aids has not reached out to me for a review. Most of the reviews I have done o ly happened because the company was kind enough to send me a pair to review and then I send them back. Get ahold of someone at blade and tell them to send me a pair

    Love the channel. Just PayPal'd you. Thanks. Question: Jabra Enhance Pro 20 (Costco)...what open domes should I buy? My left HA keeps falling out of my ear canal. It's easier/faster for me to buy open domes than it is to go back to Costco. Both HAs were fit with medium open domes...so I figure I should go with one large open dome (for the one that keeps falling out)...but the 500 choices on Amazon are confusing. Any advice on how to spec/where to buy? Thanks.

      @HearingClub  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you for the love and support Riccardo!! Much love brotha! I'll add the domes you need to my website, I'll put the correct amazon link up there. I'm at work now but as soon as I get home I'll add it to the helpful products page. I'll put your name on it too!
      But to help you out, you want the grey domes for the SF3 receivers, not sf2. Sf2 are black and sf3 are the newer grey ones for the SureFit 3 receivers.
      Amazon doesn't have them

    Which HA would you recommend for an experienced musician/producer that has a solid background with audio engineering, as well as a career in technology, including AI? Which OTC or prescription hearing aid allows me to make the most personalized tuning? Apparently, the audio awareness of musicians poses additional challenges for fitting, e.g. we are more distracted by distortion, audio artifacts, bad EQ, background noise, etc. But I understand what is wrong with what I am hearing when the situation is occurring, and I try what I can with the very, very limited tools available in the software (Oticon miniRite) I am intrigued that you like the audio quality of the JVC's, and would much rather get very good hardware and tune the HAs according to my needs and pay for expert advice when I need it, rather than pay for software and consultations aimed at people who don't have the experience I do, and think that 3-band EQ is more than anyone would need.

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You can certainly try these but honestly, if you want the most adjustable hearing aid, you can actually program your own philips hearing aids. You will have 24 fitting bands or a 24 band equalizer. I am currently working on a series of how to's etc. But for the price of these JVC hearing aids, if you aren't ready to drop $1,600 on rx hearing aids, these are hard to beat.

    • @carlostonebanks
      @carlostonebanks 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@HearingClubI am currently evaluating Oticon MiniRITEs which I believe is the same manufacturer. Audiologist providers aren't exactly enthusiastic or supportive about users programming themselves, and I think pricing is based on fitting and support, not the hardware cost. My audiologist is a lovely supportive person, but so far, I haven't encountered an issue I don't understand, or something I wouldn't be able to address if I had my own studio software. I am not price-constrained, I am concerned about spending money for service that I don't need, especially at a time when I could use that wasted money next year on the next advancement in the hardware/firmware technology.

    What is the difference between Bluetooth and Hands Free/Streaming? Do you mean if a call comes in you can't answer without getting out your phone? Also, these have BLE, will they get Auracast?

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, these specific hearing aids don’t have the aura cast option. There are so many versions of Bluetooth it’s very hard to keep up. Bluetooth is just a wireless connection. And with this wireless connection, there are some really cool features that may be available. Such as hands free options, aura cast, streaming, the ability to control your hearing aids via an app, etc…

  • @DavidHHH99
    @DavidHHH99 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Yeah, these look pretty cool, and I'd seriously consider them, especially with the app and the better programming with real hearing tests. But no rechargeable battery is a deal killer for me. For $300 more than my current Elehears (well, their "sale price" that never changes, at least), plus the added cost of regular batteries, I can't justify this. Hopefully, they'll take what they learned from this, and apply it to a rechargeable model soon.
    But I'm not clear what you mean by streaming and that no OTC hearing aids have it. I'm currently listening to your video with my elehears connected via bluetooth to my PC. It's usually pretty easy to switch between my phone and my PC, though occasionally, it doesn't connect when I switch, and I have to reset the aids in the charger. When they're connected to either my PC or phone, pretty much ANY sound played on the device nearly instantly (sometimes there's a slight delay when it turns on the sound in the aids) plays in my aids, then switches back to normal hearing aid usage when the device isn't playing sound. And they use the microphones in the hearing aids to pick up my sound for phone calls and the like.
    Are there some other "streaming" features that you're referring to when you say that no OTC's have streaming?

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Can you tell me what part of the video you heard this? For an example 15 min in would be 15:00 or 10 min 30 sec In would be 10:30

    • @DavidHHH99
      @DavidHHH99 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @gClub Honestly, I don't really have the time or energy to go back through a 38 minute video I've already watched, but it was the part where you said that these aids don't get the point for hands-free or streaming. And then you said that you haven't found any OTC hearing aids that have streaming.
      Clearsynergy commented on it below, as well.
