NAILED IT. Around 8:00 -- Regardless of what the hearing aid is or how it was obtained, it doesn't matter how well you hear with it if it hurts while you wear it. They have to be comfortable, or they'll just end up in the drawer.

A really excellent and helpful review. I currently use a Lexie B2, which works great for me, and was thinking about upgrading to a B2 Plus to get the streaming feature. This seems like the only major difference between the B2 and the B2 Plus. But since you say that the streaming sound quality is poor, I will wait for the next generation before upgrading. Perhaps the B3 will have the newer Bluetooth LE Audio with better sound quality.
Thanks again Dr. Cliff. Your reviews are very helpful and informative.

Great presentation. But I've had the B2 hearing aids for almost 2 years and I find them very comfortable. They're so lightweight I tend to forget I'm wearing them. They do work really well for me. I found the wire out of the box exactly right for my ears.

I have the B2 and literally cannot tell I’m wearing them. Completely 100% comfortable for me.

You mention that these are HSA eligible. It's the first time I've heard this mentioned on your videos. Are there other brands that are also HSA eligible and if so is there a way to access this info? Thank you Dr. Cliff.

I bought the Lexie 2 for my mom. I thought they are good for otc hearing aids. The biggest problem was the fit. She complained they hurt her ears. They also were constantly slipping out of the ear canal. I agree with you about the comfort.

May I ask what size wire did you get with your mom's hearing aids? I requested a size 3 for my dad I hope they fit him comfortable if not I will return cost too muck not to wear because of comfort.

@@hendrixmax1 it is the wire that came with them. For her ears it did not would well and they popped out easily.

Do you have a review of the otc hearing aids Dragon-B-CF430S? The pair I purchased five months back for $200 have outperformed the ReSounds the doctor has tried to fit me with. Three environments are advertised in the aids, but my pair came with four. The third setting really brings out conversation, my biggest issue.

They are very comfortable for me too. You should know they have different sized wires.

Medicare Advantage now offers hearing aid cost, $100 co-pay over the counter. Would this work or is there a better option?

Apparently my B2s from last year are now B2 Plus...the Android app updated and now says they are. They do connect faster to the app now. Lexie (or Bose) update the app pretty often

I have the original B2 hearing aids. I have mild to moderate hearing loss. I oddly have to have it at 100% world volume and the feedback drives me insane. Makes me want to get something new. I had Resound hearing aids before and the volumes were easier to set like not needing the world volume at 100% and with not much feedback.

There are slip-on cloth sleeves available online that match hair color. Ear Gear is a good brand.

Changing the wires is extremely simple. They snap into the hearing aid, and you can remove them by inserting the tip of a fingernail into the groove between the wire and the body and pushing outwards. The first time you do this it will be harder, but after a few times it seems to get easier to do. Then snap the new wire back in. They are color coded and can only go in the right way so you can't put them in wrong.

Dr. Cliff didn't say that. He said they were uncomfortable for HIM, based on the size and shape of his ear canal. Many other people, like me, find they perfectly fine, as you can see in the comments. But this is an important factor, so you need to try them on and see for yourself. And if you have the same problem that he did, then you need to get something else. Since everyone has different shaped ears, I really doubt there is any hearing aid made that works perfectly for everyone.
