Great video showing a exclusive model for a powerful and affordable Kia
They could have done a lot better with this car considering its "Limited" edition model. If it had my way, the specs would have been bumped to atleast 400hp, enhanced exhaust sound, splash of orange color in the interior (seats, side panels) to compliment and match the exterior, larger display on the odometer and a HUD.. for the price of about $45k+ and above, and yes, I've seen some dealers making outrageous markups with this vehicle, again, they could have done better.. but it is what it is.. Kia continues to make waves and other manufacturers are taking notice.
Couldn't have said it better myself. I would only add, they should gloss black paint (or wrap) rear upper section of roof panel. This way we'll see continuous black between hood & decklid. There is no improvement or benefit in matching that piece to the car !
Kia and Hyundai moving up the ranks, American, German, and Japanese Motor Manufacturers better take notice.

I'm loving checking out your guys' channel! I'm actually a GTS AWD owner (one of 400!), and this was the best, most accurate breakdown of the GTS I've seen. There's a lot of confusing, or ambiguous information out there on the GTS, and you did a great job breaking it down! Only thing I think you missed was a demo of launch control and how to engage the GTS AWD "drift mode" 😉

@@Yondaily Honda isn't AWD and can't be put into RWD. It's a great FWD car, if that's what you like...but that's a no-go for me.
I live in Canada , and I bought the 2018 blue AWD GT1 Model , I change the mode driving system within the season's .I paid 44k$$ Can brand new.All option in it less than GT2 , but Carbon Fiber accessories inside.

Was at a Kia dealer today to look at a sorento for the family. The looks are nice, they almost convinced me to trade in my M3.

Drew and Mason, wow 😄. You know I was thinking the X3 M Competition you guys recently reviewed was sexy, and I still think that of the X3 M, 500hp in an X3, hallelujah 🙌. However, this here Stinger GTS review, you two took it to whole other level. Drew, you said jibber jabber 😅. I'm honestly astounded that the Stinger GTS is a Kia. Why only 800? I've said it before, and I will say it again, you two bring something different to the table with your channel. It's awesome 👌.

I just brought my 2018 Stinger in for its second brake job. Rotor issues. First time Kia payed, not this time. $900 to fix. Going to check other options. I have had the car for 18 months. Love the car, but not sure I will keep it since it is a lease. And if you look at Stinger forums, there are many others who are having the same problem.
digmacdiggydoo wow I got and 18 stinger too but only had it 7 months it’s a lease if I have this problem I have complementary oil and brake change build into my payments so I should be ok
Does it shake when braking?
XxFolksxX not wen braking but sometimes tha steering wheel shakes a little while I’m driving at certain speeds mines came wit Ashanti wheels So it mite be that idk
@@XxFolksxX The steering wheel did shake when the brakes were applied. Since I had the rotors replaced again, the problem, for now, is resolved.

I think the "Stinger" and the "Cadenza" are a bit high in price, don't misunderstand me I like the Kia, I like the style attracts a lot of attention, in fact I have an Optima my lease ends this year and I wanted to change it for a Cadenza but here where I live in they don't have it, they have the Stinger but it costs $ 45K With this amount I can buy a 2019 Jaguar or a Mercedes. I know that these cars that I mentioned do not have as much attraction as the Cadenza or the Stinger. But in the end if you buy one of these cars you can sell it at a better price than a Kia.

Little question, but important. Does the fact that you send 80% to 100% of power to the rear wheels, not affect the durability of the transmission ?
We had this on other cars before, and some suffered of those issues.

I just got my 2019 Kia Stinger GT in Panthera Metal ... this car is awesome I have Borla exhaust system which really sound freaky amazing and rims from(NICHE). I also have Stinger badge on the front and rear but I should have upgraded to the GT 1 for the speakers. I guess I will just put some after market speakers. This car is freaky ass sexy..people come up to me asking what is this since I took off the Kia badges...

I literally had a guy in an SUV hang half of his body out of the front window to give me 2 thumbs up a couple days ago. I have a Red GT2 but I blacked out all the black chrome on the entire car and have black rims with a red lip. She gets a lot of attention. I have the ark Grip exhaust too, sounds amazeballs.

I was thinking the same thing. Outside of the carbon fiber and maybe the alcantara it doesn't really feel like you're getting a top of the line car. Kia could've just taken the GT2 and added the extra bells and whistles, along with maybe boosting the horse power and exhaust note.

They should have made a GT2S so I can have ventilated seats and everything a GT2 has, but still have LSD and drift mode! Now I'm torn between trims!

@@bruschmidt9943 that's true, but the crazy thing is you can still order those carbon fiber inserts from KIA anyway.
Because you can put the GTS D-AWD into 100% RWD. So you get AWD when you need it and when you don't need it, you can have a 100% RWD car. As much as I loved my GT2 AWD, the rear LSD and the ability for my AWD to go full RWD made it totally worth the switch.
Federation Orange...? This has got to be a nod to The Dukes. Just needs a Confederate Flag on the roof, and 01 on the door, and with that LSD & Drift Mode, this is a modern version of the General E. Lee!

I have a 2018 Stinger GT2 and frankly from what I saw there's nothing that would make me consider moving to this. In fact I'm still kinda wondering why they made this model..
I had a 2018 GT2 AWD and I traded it for the GTS D-AWD. I am not disappointed with my decision.

Appears to me the orange paint, carbon fiber trim and some relatively meaningless interior trims are the only differences between this so-called limited edition and the GT-1that sells for a lower price. No added power, no new wheels, same brakes...pffffffft. Add in the routine Kia squeaks and rattles that will appear somewhere around 2,000 miles and be significantly more pronounced by 5,000 miles, the $15k difference between the Stinger and the German sports sedans is well worth the premium.
Having owned two KIA's over the last decade I've never experienced ANY "squeaks and rattles" in either one. Perhaps you weren't listening to the video. That wouldn't be surprising. The GTS has an MSRP is $1300 LESS than the GT1. Any other insightful comments or would you like to correct your errors?

Further, based on my experience riding in my brother-in-law's Cadenza (20,000+ mileage) and my son's Soul rental, I imagine that the tire and road noise, the wind noise, and the intrusive engine noise tended to minimize any squeaks and rattles in your Kia vehicles.

You may be correct about real world prices since there will be fewer "limited edition" GTS versions available and demand may create that result. On the other hand, KIA clearly aimed the GTS to test the waters for a slightly more budget friendly alternative of the Stinger with the V6 engine designed to capture those who want fewer options combined with more "exclusivity."
Not being especially fond of orange it wouldn't be me but I suspect that well heeled students at the University of Texas and the University of Tennessee will snap them up. I say that because when I was at UT in Austin years ago practically every orange Olds Cutlass in the US was owned by sororority girls at the university. :)
