The big Boss 3k does quite a bit more power than this at every ohm load id buy the beefed up big boss 3k before id buy this plus the 3k big boss takes half the amperage to make even more power than this did.
This little amp is a beast. It never gets hot for shuts off. Never heard of it before and tried it and I must say it’s actually better than a lot of the amps that I’ve had in the past.
I’m in the market for a new bass amp and to be honest, I’ve never heard of the brand. However; based on your unbiased and extensive review, I will seriously consider getting one as a replacement. Thanks for the information, keep the great content coming.

Big Boss 3, 5, and 8 are pound for pound best in the business.
Others are close but at 2ohm loads, you can’t beat them.
Around the same price as taramps with a quieter fan, the win goes to Marts!
I’m slowly getting sold and marts, I know Parker and big Jeff have shown them and now this one, def want to look into a smaller one under 1k 800w since I don’t want to upgrade a electrical in my daily. Very cool video just watch out on that knob talk lol

i have an marts mxd 8000.2, i bought it to increase the dampening factor, and increase sq in a very much geared spl build. in my experience with the amp it stays cooler than my taramps and does better dynamic numbers

Can we all take a moment and Appreciate that if you could run this amplifier at 14.8 Volts Rock solid steady on the power supply rails at full power? You would BLOW the main Battery Fuse on many electric cars in short order.
What's even more amazing?
In order to keep up with the electrical demands of 2 of amplifiers, You would need to add at least 10 stock Alternators to provide that power at engine Idle speeds (Cold) to hopefully keep your voltage stable during the current pools.
You would still need a fairly Beefy Battery along with a Super cap to handle the insane PEAK INRUSH current demands required running amplifiers of this class.
Fun bit of Trivia?
Some of our Battery bank builds have more amp hours / Capacity than most Hybrid electric cars.

taramps is great because any time i had a problem they fixed it fast . there smarts amps are really the way to go . id like to see the big boss 5k dyno . i have a teampie 7500 for 3 years now but this spring i may want to get rid of it and get a big boss to run my 2 jld ext18d1s . i want to recone them with carbon cones and 4 inch 8 layer stainless formers .
The only advantage that Tara amps has is their smart series that fight box rise other than that I think the marts comes out on top
Marts has a few series of amps and I believe 1 line is kinda aimed at the smart. They don't do the same power from .5-2ohm but basically well underrated especially holding high 14s at .5ohm.

What kinda electrical do you recommend for this amp
High output alternator 350 at least , a 6 cell LTO bank or equivalent 40ah or higher lithium and dual runs of 1/0 OFC.

Marts amp don't have very good protection, ds18 full beats both in protection
Way too expensive for the power.
Another clone,looks to be a copy of sound digital, sundown sfb 5000 also has the same board hopefully they fixed the issues that sundown was having with them
These have been super solid for me. No issues on the dyno like some of the others you mention so seems like they are great amps. I have tried some of the other SD type amps and they pops instantly at 1 ohm in the dyno so for these to make it thru multiple dyno runs says a lot.
Hats off to them for making a great amp thats better than the more favorable car audio companies that says alot
