Blaupunkt made top end Car radio receivers and were stock in alot of Porsche cars back in 1985 .Installed one for my friend in his RENAULT LE-CAR...They were making car radios way back mid 1920s.
You made a great point. Back in the 90’s if you had a 400-500 watt system you were a legend. Also I remember everyone had a sealed box for their subs. I don’t even remember seeing a ported box. So when people say sealed boxes suck I am like wtf you talking about 😂
You have to remember that music back in the day didn't really have any strong low frequencies, like under 40Hz. So sealed boxes sounded just fine. I've been in car audio 30 years and only ran sealed and infinite baffle. Only recently have I been dabbling in ported boxes. Using aeroports to change the tuning and a DATS to confirm it. I think I'm a fan of ported.
I can vouch for this AMP. I have it in my sons room pushing some 10" bp's in a bandpass box. I only have it powered with a 50 amp 12vdc power supply. I need to hook up a battery to it to see what it can really do transplant it into my car for more power. On a side note any suggestions for DYI powering amps on ones hobby bench? Or some good affiliates that like this hobby. Much appreciated. Again awesome review/dyno. So cool to see these DYNO tested. I still would like to see more of the Nakamiichi amps put on test. I feel like they are a bargain on woot. Thanks for always keeping honest people honest!
As efficiency goes: 62.7% @ 4 ohms 54.6% @ 2 ohms 49.2% @ 1 ohm That looks pretty bad for a class D amplifier. It may get warm or hot dissipating the rest of they power as heat at maximum volume. Does it pop the speakers when it is turned on or off? What's the temperature after, lets say 30min of use at medium power? As you mentioned in 4:13 the maximum input current is 120A so I would not stress this amp at 961W @ 1ohm because it drains 134.7A continuos
TXP1.3500D is about the title belt holder for budget amp king. $107, about 1200w... still, currently $80 for that blau 3k isn't bad. I'm thinking the orion cobalt might be a little better quality for similar price.
Rockford amps do it all the time my punch 400 calls for a 40amp fuse, the birthsheet says 436watts. Back in 92 I had a kenwood 921 on 2 kicker 15's and a sherwood bp 240 on a mtx blue thunder full range box with 2 15's 4 5in midranges and 2 horn tweeters
I wish you had mentioned that Blaupunkt went out of business a long time ago and another company bought their name. I don't know who, but I guess they really did boost sales by using that old company name. Same for PPI, Orion and a few others.
Im new to all this audio stuff i got this amp and im using it to run a 10” kicker comp s thats rated at 300 watt rms at 4ohms, should i get a lower ohm sub or just stick with the single 10”? If you recommend an upgrade what would be a good budget sub?
I bought one and they're really not a good bargain. They out juice when faced with heavy load. I think because the capacitors run drain just a little behind the load.
Not for me or my 2 15 inch skars, it likes to turn off with my head unit set with nothing extra and it's a Kenwood Excelon. Amp was professionally tuned it doesn't like my 2 15 inch skar Subwoofer
Shit back in the 90s we had all kinds of cheater amps. This means they would say they were 45 W but they were pushing 150. You would have a 300 watt amp and that thing would be pushing near a thousand Watts. Or whatever the numbers were. They were always underrated. Not all brands but a lot of different brands did that
Blaupunkt was fairly reputable in late 90s early 2000s around me, not great but decent. I've ran atleast 2 set of there speakers, have a set of $30ish 6x8s in my truck doors currently and they're actually pretty decent. I was hoping to see 1100-1200w from that amp but dynamically it seems decent. Like you say would push 2 entry level subs good or 1 good 12 or 15 at 1ohm.
Was thinking of getting the power acoustik razr1 2500 for 98 bucks at Walmart then I decided to look this one up walmart has this for 84 bucks I'm grabbing this one
I bought 6 of the 4000 watt versions last year when they were going on sale for 50 bucks. Still have 2 of them. For that price they're not terrible but the quality is very questionable.
@@stereomojo I sold them. I had 2 of them each at half ohm running on 4 audio legion gladiator 10d2s in a 6th order. Never had a problem with them. Sold the whole system all together. The other 2 I sold to a local guy just wanting a little bang in his Camaro. He bought 1 then came back for another.

Lol! Yeah, I’ve had plenty of systems with sealed boxes that sounded awesome!
Think I had a Blaupunkt CD player back in the day; I still love sealed enclosures to this day.

My Rockford punch 200 sold for $599, and its Birthsheet= power output was around 525 watts, back in the 90s!
Yeah, those were awesome amps!

Williston Audio said the same exact thing. He said that's class ab efficiency and that's not good for a class D amp
This amp is $75 on Amazon right now!

I need to try the TXP
It’s rated 800 1ohm
600 2ohm
300 ohm
3000 is peek
I got this amp it slaps for blapunkt i never had this brand ever impress me but this one did!
Yeah, it’s a pretty decent amp. Thanks!
So it’s not really 3000 watts?
@@debosdetails7171 unfortunately, it’s not

I had it professionally tuned as well it just can't handle mine at least
I would like to see you test a jbl - gx -a300.1
If I connect 2 Pioneer TS w312D4 to this power supply, will it be enough?
Pretty good match, yes

Subwoofers were wired for correct ohms as well for the amp

The radio was from a car that it came with from factory. I remember vettes used to come with them from factory.
Wish these companies would just rate their amps correctly. Can you tell us what certified is in the future? Thank you!

Likes to cut off frequent, unless i got a defective amp 🤷

not worth it very inefficient at 1 ohm
