    Years back, in Fairchild, Wisconsin, my 6 year old boy searched our front yard for arrowheads. They were very plentiful as long ago the Indians would assemble on each side of our property and our front yard was their battlefield.

      That is pretty cool to have that kind of history in your yard. If only we could rewind time to see what it all looked like back then. Thank you for sharing that.

    That super tiny one looked sooo cool. I’m gonna start looking here in eastern Oklahoma I live near Cherokee Indian and Choctaw Indian territory and I’m actually Chickasaw Indian

      Oklahoma is a good state for artifacts. The small bird point could have very well been associated with the Cherokee nation. Thanks for watching!

      @@RobsRelics have u ever hunted eastern Oklahoma. Spiro mounds has a museum and they have found thousands of Indian artifacts and it’s the burial site also. I actually live 10 miles from there. Arkansas river is literally less than a mile from the Spiro Mounds Indian site. Super cool place and they do walk thru tours so many days a week. I remember going with class of 2003 and u wouldn’t believe the artifacts found.

      Yes I may bring a sifter next time I’m over there. At minimum a rake… there were still a good bit of leaves in the creek bed so no telling how many I walked over. Thanks for watching

    Cool video.. I’m in North Alabama too… hundreds of creeks and creek beds to scratch around in. My grandfather used to plow fields in North Alabama in the 30’s … he said arrowheads were a dime a dozen they’d toss them away like nothing.

    • @RobsRelics

    Nice hunt with a lot of bifaces out of some nice high grade materials. Those fossils are parts of coral heads believe it or not. Living in north central Florida we see a lot of that, and the agatized coral makes a beautiful point. When you flipped the second piece over you can see the striations in the coral, and it could have been a trade piece. You can see the individual polyps that is what gave it away for me. I have found some nice pieces in my area, and the biggest amount of dug out canoes was found on a lake near by, well over a hundred. Keep the videos coming, very nice.

    • @RobsRelics
      @RobsRelics  ปีที่แล้ว

      We find tons of fossils in there. It is one of the very northern most counties in Alabama so it’s crazy to think. Thank you for watching and the informative comment. Another video will be up tomorrow!
