    That bullet with the groove is a williams type 3 cleaner bullet I belive. A civil war bullet has been on my bucket list for a while. Lead indian was definitely an interesting find too. That is a fine gorget section 🔥 can never go wrong with a couple points!

    Dang man that place is eat up with bullets never saw that many come from one spot like that . Great finds brother

      I am sorry to hear about your dad, Tiller. My dad had a massive heart attack a couple months back so I’m very blessed he is still with us and able to still get out. Glad you enjoyed the video and looking forward to your next upload.

      Thank you! Yes, if you haven’t already check out Clegg’s Adventures channel. I’m fortunate because my dad is very knowledgeable of hot spots in my area. There is plenty to be found on major water ways especially if you have a boat/kayak.

      Thank you! Yes it is my favorite part of the hobby. We are still able to see characteristics of relics left behind such as tooth marks or polish from use. Each piece has a story and there is tons of stuff out there still to be found!

      No telling how many are laying just a inch or two under the mud. I’m sure buttons and buckles are in there too. We are going to try and hit that spot again with a detector soon. Thanks for the comment!

    Great hunt brother, in the movie the patriot, they were melting down lead figurines like that, to make there bullets.

      That is an interesting thought. My dad thought maybe someone used it as a fishing sinker. I think maybe some kid lost it while playing on the beach. I just know it’s mine now :)

    What county's or areas do you look at? I live in Dallas county and I've been wanting to start looking for various tips and artifacts. Just not sure on how to get started

      I would hunt around the Alabama River or tributaries feeding into it. I am more in North Alabama but there is some good stuff down near you as well. ALHeadHunter on here hunts around that area I believe.

    I would definitely call that a killer day. Great recoveries. That gorget would be amazing if it were whole. Still nice as is. Wish we had civil war era bullets/relics around here, or at least more common. Good to see you out with your dad. Mine passed last year and we had great times hunting together. I am now doing it with my son. Now get out there and find that other half of the gorget. 🤘🏼

    It's amazing those bullets aren't damaged, they must have been lost not fired?

      Yes, most likely around a camp. These were lost in the year 1862 based on the location. One of them had toothmarks and others were carved with pocket knives. I guess they didn’t have much to pass time so they used what they had on hand.

      Yes, the drilled piece I found. It is unsure really of their usage. Could have been armor or ceremonial pieces.
