I've heard a lot of people say they don't know how to use a construction calculator, so why should they own one? Tell me this.. Did you learn how to walk before you had legs? No...
Here's a link to a construction calculator, one that we use daily.. Calculated Industries is the only calculator we use: amzn.to/3guuMyb
Follow the calculation for top plate lengths as I do it, or for stud calculating in the description below. It's a simple method!
Happy Monday, hope you're all staying busy and working hard.

@mattbangswood So, interested to know if use/tried the CI Const Calc App on iPhone (if have Apple), or on Android? AND then what ya think about them (imo, the iOS app seems better than Android version); BUT, also have a handheld calc as well. There’s just something about actually pushing a button instead of tapping a screen😉
Suppose a similar thing about digital or film photography etc….there’s just nothing like shooting on film, getting “the shot” and how it looks, imo. (Even though digital is awesome, convenient)

Now when you’re laying out your 16 on center from what you have shown . Now do you do the same to the other side and meet in the middle so everything is consistent from both ends because I get how you’re doing the measurement from one side but let’s say the rake wall is 16 feet long do I do a split measurement starting from each end and meet in the middle just wondering because I’m brushing up on how to build rake walls pluse you explain everything well
