    Great tutorial. BTW, you can buy the app for your smart phone for $30 or less and it is identical with full functionality plus you are likely to always have it on you.

    I have three of these calculators. One in my office. One in my brief case/truck. One at home. I’ve just retired from owning a design/build luxury home company for 38 years. I use these from creation of my design thoughts to turning of the key in the final home completion. They have made me millions. Don’t hesitate if you don’t have one.

    Great info. Just a note, run is 1/2 the span. Span should be divided by 2 for the run.

    Hi there, great instructional video.
    I’m from the UK and some of our roof pitches are given in degrees of pitch rather than the 12 scale. Does this calculator allow you to input the pitch in degrees? Thanks

    • @Caliber8Tools
      @Caliber8Tools  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This version can give you values in degrees when it comes to finding arc degrees(circles, arcs). You may have to convert the degrees back to the rise on this version for slopes. The Construction Master Pro has more functions for slopes.

    • @briangordon1767
      @briangordon1767 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can enter pitch in degrees for working in metric oR as inch rise per foot of run or even toggle between the two if you want I would highly recommend down loading this cal as an app on your phone if your working on roof's it pays for its self on day one

    great video ! BTW wouldn't span and run be different on your roof framing diagram? Wouldn't the run be half the span for that diagram?

    • @Caliber8Tools
      @Caliber8Tools  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the run is half of the span.

    Loved the info. Knew about the construction master many years ago. Once again after several years out of the carpentry trade, i find myself back in it. That said, im still honing my math skills. BUT....the stair values dont match the same as in your video. I put a Rcl value in it the other day for stairs. Now i cant seem to remove that number and get back to the default value.
    Please help

    Do you guys in the US only use calculators with the imperial system in the construction industry? Is it possible to use a scientific and still work?

    • @Caliber8Tools

    I think I'm a little confused with the diameter example. If you have a 6ft deep hole with a 24 inch diameter it would not be 4.6 cubic yards to fill. I believe you should've multiple the depth not the height of the pole.
