    2.7 is incredibly conservative.
Motor Week just clocked the normal Turbo at 2.5, so you know the Turbo S is considerably quicker.
Car and Driver clocked the Turbo S at 0-60 at 2.2.

Despite the 992 Turbo S literally having 90% of every auto journalist that’s dared to really put it though it’s paces, have sung to the auto gods for just how bloody amazing it is.
Let’s be frank here. While it may be a statement that’s difficult to digest, automotive enthusiasts are more likely struggling with how this review from CAR is relevant in 2021 when it’s simply a verbatim repeat of what was covered early last spring.
I guess there’s no way you’re going to offend people this way though.

Of course it has to be a great review. Who ever said a 911 Turbo S is not worth the money or worse than a prior model or their own Taycan Turbo S? Given this is their flagship 911 model they will do everything they can to keep it above all other "street oriented" versions and the Taycan. I think the 911 will have a hybrid version in next refresh (given 8 speed PDK), just like the Cayenne. Utility cars, like the Macan and Cayenne are coming out with only electric models, but drivers of 911s won't settle for an only electric sonic note, yet. I own a 991S and a 2021 Cayenne Coupe e-hybrid and love both cars for different reasons. Porsche has to move in this direction , unless their R&D on a new fuel that is carbon neutral works out.

I had the 930 turbo on my wall as a boy .
Growing up as a petrolhead I had several 911’s building up to a gen2 997 turbo for a few years about 6 years ago .
My car had PCCB option and I added a Sharkwerks tune and exhaust.
It was a very good very fast car but after waiting over 30 years to own one what it didn’t do was “ engage “ as a drivers car ( I took it to the track once again was very fast but nor engaging )
I think I understand Porsche really build it as a super GT and as that it’s untouchable.
I’ll stick to the GT cars .
I really want a GT4 or a 718 spyder ( I had the former boxster spyder before the turbo - great drivers car )

But it's still boring - what's the point of spending half a million dollars to drive a car that is no more involvement than a Camry. Yes you can make a Camry just as fast as a 911 turbo - for a lot less money. What is the missing ingrediant - NO MANUAL GEARBOX. The 911 Turbo is for balding overweight men in their 50's who will rarly go above 100 kph (you can't in the commute to the office anyway - traffic jams et al) but having it is like having an 18 year old girlfriend with big knockers. It's about an ILLUSION.

Apparently you can’t afford one. No big deal but what a lame post. If you don’t mind I’m going to copy it and show other people. It made me laugh pretty good. Thanks man.

@@BrettL250 Look at my photo, my toys are a little more expensive than hair dressers sports car. But you are right, after buying my aircraft I couldn't afford a turbo, so I ordered a 911 GTS MANUAL instead.
