  • There are good cars, there are great cars, and then there’s the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S. This is a sports car - nay, a supercar - that seemingly defies the laws of physics on its way to world-beating performance. With some 640 hp on tap and sub-three-second sprints to 100 km/h coming with ease, the new Turbo S is a modern marvel of engineering that happens to be wrapped up in a familiar-looking package. AutoTrader.ca Road Test Editor Dan Ilika makes his case for why this is the pinnacle of Porsche performance.

The reason so many press cars feel firm is because of the SPASM, which lowers the ride height by an additional 10mm. There was a reviewer who got his hands on one without it, and the ride was very comfortable for him. I've also experienced one without SPASM, and find the ride extremely comfortable (for a sports car).

Sweet stache drive fast 🙌. Awaiting my 992.2TTS to arrive. Then the decision might involve TTS or E-hybrid TT/TTS

Nice practical review - do you think the standard, non-sport suspension would be better for a daily driver? Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words! And yes, the standard suspension is *a little* for forgiving and would be better for daily use; but the sport suspension is a nice addition! Cheers!

I’ve had mine for a year and occasionally track it. We use it as a daily driver and IMO go standard non sport suspension. Awesome car , almost too powerful for the street. Yes it feels like it wants to kill you on the track, but doesn’t . Definitely too powerful for some smaller technical tracks . 0-100kph in 2.3 seconds is insane. ( yes, that is the real time) It almost drives your eye balls back into your sockets. I hate the overly computerized systems. I have to swipe through two or more screens when before I just pressed one button . I think I’m going to miss it as we have an order in for the new GT3. I have this feeling I should stay with the turbo S . Btw . Road trips……….. 640 hp doesn’t give much range 😜

@@kevinreath Thanks! - very helpful. I have decided against the Sport PASM - it will be great for some, but not for the way I drive or the roads that I drive on. There are now some really great reviews out there of cars without SPASM and they are very favorable. All the great performance and semi-GT feeling, just a little less distracting and not quite as nervous.

Stop video at 1654 just to ask and your opinion would you call it butchering a 250,000 car to take the USB ports out and switch them to c port and could you do that have you thought about doing that yourself or hiring someone to do that or would you buy an adapter could you even buy an adapter to make it USBC?

Yes, I would call that butchering a quarter-million-dollar car!

Source of that annoying squeak: Rear passenger seat panel near speaker.
