I went through something similar as you with SIBO. It was a roller coaster of feeling good and bad which affected my overall mood. Not to mention lots of different supplements that “should work” that didn’t when it was all said and done. It wasn’t until I started focusing on stomach acid and bile flow that I finally healed myself. It’s the job of bile to keep the bacteria in the small intestine in check. So, if you’ve got an issue go to the source. My SIBO has not come back in 2 years. Also, addressing my gut lining added to my overall healing. I took glutamine, quercetin, and bovine colostrum for 6 weeks to repair the lining. Worked beautifully.
I hope you have luck in this soon!! I know very well how frustrating it is!💕

Can you freeze the whey of your first batch of LR yogurt as a starter for your second batch? Or does freezing kill the LR?

May I ask what were the amounts of those supplements?

    • @Adentalgrl

      @@yfa6244
The protocol I went by says 1000mg 2x/ day but the glutamine I had was 750mg pills so I just did one of those 2x/day and the quercetin I did 1000mg 2x/day and one of the 500mg colostrum 2x/day. I was drinking a cup of bone broth a day, too, for extra benefit. I think the ritual of drinking the broth daily gets you into the mindset of healing and believe that it’s helpful to keep setting intentions daily for health. A way of staying positive and not letting the frustration creep in as much.
For it to work you’ve got to avoid the things that cause issues such as; sugar, wheat, nightshades if they bother you…what ever you know bothers your stomach.

This was really helpful because I've been feeling a combination of symptoms; GB pain which is helped by the oxbile and SIBO bloat. The thing I can't wrap my head around is that most of the time the pains in the GB are after eating veggies or nuts, coconut etc not from animal fats like most conventional "wisdom" dictates. Anything plant origin bothers me so I may try this.

@@ybe7011 vegetables are not good for everyone… it took me years to work out my GB and IBS trouble was down to Cruciferous vegetables. They are vegetables of the family Brassicaceae with many genera, species, and cultivars being raised for food production such as cauliflower, cabbage, kale, garden cress, bok choy, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, mustard plant and similar green leaf vegetables. I can still eat lettuce and spinach in small amounts these days. But don’t be fooled by all the marketing of fruit and vege! Most of the fruits today are GMO and have much more fructose ( sugar) in them than the ones our ancestor’s used to occasionally forage for! Now people are brain washed into thinking fruit and vege in copious amounts is a healthy diet!!

Nili - One time my husband's doctor had him use a cup of acidopholis as an enema and hold it for at least 5 minutes - he did it with his but in the air in the bathtub. It worked for his severe diarrhea.
I have heard people say they did that same thing with yogurt (I guess it would need to be thinned down a little). Since you are doing so good with the yogurt you are using - just wondering if you might benefit from doing the other end so to speak. You don't have to tell us if you do it - just have heard this works great and wanted to let you know.

It's so difficult!! Sending you all the sympathy because it's such a nightmare. I really appreciate you making these videos, because, while I'm not happy that other people are going through this, at the same time, it's really nice to feel less alone.

I totally feel you on the whole roller coaster with SIBO, you aren’t alone. I went through it 2.5 years ago did a similar protocol to you. And still had issues and ended up going carnivore for a month or so and I haven’t had issues since. Wishing you the best of luck figuring it out 🙏🏼

Great plan! I applaud your clear thinking - not easy when you have SIBO and brain fog.The SIBO stuff is a crazy roller coaster for sure.. To feel over all better after treatment you have to "reseed" the good bugs as they say. The herbs for treatment are not as bad as antibiotics, but they can kill off some good bugs. Then there's die off, which can feel horrible. Thank you so much for sharing all this. I'll be testing with the Aire2 soon.

I have found that Cruciferous veggies are definitely no good for me! Once cutting them out of my diet my digestive and IBS disappeared… been nearly 2yrs and still good. I don’t even miss them anymore.

Muscle Testing is my subject, but First, my sincerest gratitude for your videos. If it weren’t for your video making your first L. Reuteri, I don’t know how much longer I would’ve traveled the road that’s too much like yours. But, your video sent me studying…as I waited for my BioGaia to arrive, I made a trial batch (to test my cooking method) I used grass fed yogurt from the store as my starter. Also bought grass fed kefir and other good dairies with bacterias.
… Now, the point. After listening to this video, I thought I would share what really helps me. For 2 years now as I’m rebuilding my body, my Naturopath taught me how to muscle test myself (reading bioenergetic energy) … the body will tell you literally “which” fermented dairy, or supplement or food etc etc that you need at that moment.
Example: I will touch or hold the kefir to my stomach and ask myself “this one?” My body will sway forward or backward & therefore telling me my yes or no.
This way, you can literally know what item to put in your body, … now… sometimes I will get an”no” let’s say for my kefir, and then I test my homemade L. Reuteri and I get a “yes”.
It’s very helpful to let the body tell you exactly what it needs.
It takes some time to feel comfortable & trust the process, but has saved me lots of healing time & lots of money on different supplements etc.
I will literally test the product in the store, for if I should buy it or not.
Anyway, hopefully this is a technique that can help you too.
A kinesiologist helped me 30 years ago, and it took me years to realize I could do it on my own.
    Happy Health To You!!

I just recently started the yogurt and wow!! 1st time in 13 years I've had a regular BM. We off 1 day while the next batch was cooking and went right back to the disentary issues. We are cooked again wirh the next round, and a 2nd one cooking as well... my plan is to continue to stay on the LR Yogurt and work from there... Magic is absolutely correct!!!!!
Prayers continued 🙏 for you and blessings

Keep hitting those buggers with a little something different so they can't adapt. Praying for wisdom and good information!

I totally understand where you're coming from. I'm dealing with an allergic reaction to filshie clips from a tubal ligation. And it has caused crazy, seemingly random symptoms. Especially with food insomuch that I actually thought I was allergic to sugar and anything with high carbs lol. Come to find out it's the metals in these foods that just so happen to be higher in sugar and carbs causing the reaction!

I've followed Dr. Eric Berg DC on youtube for years for keto information, and he has several videos about SIBO. You may know these things already, and I apologize if I'm suggesting things you are already aware of. (So annoying, right?) Anyway, a couple things he recommends are increasing stomach acid levels by using betaine hydrochloride or ACV and taking bile salts. Apparently the bile salts keep the microbes in their proper place, being the large intestine, and the lower stomach acid makes it very inhospitable for them. Anyway, I only know enough to be dangerous lol. Perhaps give him a listen if your problem persists.

The allergies are probably caused by the treatment killing your good bacteria too. I have a friend who had a gut reset done before and after herbal treatments and was surprised to see her good gut flora go down after treatment. I experienced this too and after eating yogurt my "allergy/histamine" symptoms are in check.

Hi Nili. A while back you mentioned your doctor wanted to put you on low dose naltrexone. If you are taking it, you may consider that as a possible source of strange symptoms. Because it is "generally well tolerated," it seems like it must be benign for all people. My doctor recommended it for inflammation issues, but as a person with many sensitivities, I couldn't deal with the side effects. I stopped taking it after a miserable 9 days. Hope you find relief soon.
