Yes Morley Robbins is an amazing knowledgeable man as is Dr. Eric Berg.. please look up Dr. Berg and iron.. most women have too much iron and our monthly menstruating cycle helps with that as does men giving blood..
Your doctor needs to get you an appointment with a hematologist. They do more blood test. They check the size of red blood cells, if you are having a blood loss or deficiency in vitamins or minerals. My hematologist saved my life. Getting the iron infusion was a easy process. Be sure to drink water before going. It does take some time for the iv drip. You stay after to make you do not have any serious side effects. You will be there for 3 to 4 hours. Symptoms did not go away and caused joint pain for me. I had 5 in a year and half. Wish you all the best. Life is better on the other side. Just will take time.
Is of any comfort to you, I have had anemia several times during my life starting when I was about 14 and every time it was it was treated and I got better. In another year or two after I had the first one, I got it again. I am now 83 years old and have lived through them all without much problem. Just don’t sweat the small stuff. A whole lot of my problems were caused by being on the sad diet and since I have switched to keto/carnivore my health is better than it is been for 70 years.
I just did iron infusions in May 2022, I feel so much better, not 100% yet but getting there. Me too but I'm 60ish... listening to you, is a mirror for me. My daughter asked me if I had ADHD last week. This is interesting, thanks for sharing hope you feel better soon.
This is very interesting. I have lots of the symptoms you mentioned. Blood tests don't show iron deficiency, but I do have the dry mouth, ridges in the nails, and many of the other things you mentioned. I am 68 and I can relate. I am going to start taking enzymes and vitamin c rich foods with my meals.
Interesting! I used to have a lot of these symptoms such as cracks at the corners of my mouth, ridges and vertical breakage of my nails and cold hands but they seem to have resolved since I increased meat and cut back veg and other keto foods.
Wow. Medical symptoms of different conditions can really overlap. A lot of the symptoms you listed coincide with my thyroid symptoms. I also have low iron and alkaline phospotase results similar to yours. I've got the same equilibrium and ridges issues.
I suffer with virtually all those symptoms, and I'm a life long insomniac, so knew something was seriously wrong when the fatigue I was feeling was nothing like that. I was fobbed off for nearly two decades, but it was nothing to do with iron deficiency for me. I've also been anemic most of my life. I had NO idea how many of my issues could be related to the iron decency. Looking forward to healing along with you. ❤️
I’ve had that memory loss thing since pregnancy. I also forget what I’ve gone to the basement for too - I do the same thing and I repeat it to myself as I go down the stairs or I make a list before I go downstairs. I’ve been like that since 1995 and I thought it was pregnancy related at the time. It’s been 26 years since then and I am still like that. It did improve a bit as I’ve aged but not enough as to disappear. I have had fatigue since I was in my 20’s. I had blood taken when I was 26 and the doctor didn’t see anything on it that bothered him - it wasn’t diabetes or Epstein-Barr, r any auto immune thing. I am 61 and I still have fatigue. It could be when I eat sugar (I had some today in a drink) or when I eat too many carbs. I’ve had hair loss since menopause began. Doctor said it was just menopause but I still have it. It stopped after I got my hair buzz cut in 2018. It got really thick and then in the last year it’s been continuing. I was hoping going Paleo would end my hair loss, but it didn’t. Not really. I used to get dizzy. It hasn’t happened in awhile now. So I am definitely going to have my iron checked. Soon. I hope you are able to get your infusion soon and you are on your way to recovery. I will be setting up an appointment for tests for myself. I need to get to the bottom of my fatigue. It’s been going on for a long time. Years. I am a very lazy, procrastinating type person and have always been. So I’ve suffered with that for most of my life. Just too lazy to get the testing done. I know I have to. Until then I’ll cut my sugar out again and cut more of the simple carbs from my diet to keep it at a more reasonable level until I get the testing done. Good luck!
My ferritin was a 9 and I'm on a liquid iron for better absorption with C. I've had the infusion and my levels shot right up but eventually back to depleted levels again. I think still having a period is also having an effect on me and I'm 57. I will be interested in how you progress through this. Enjoy your videos!
I was recently diagnosed with anemia (a couple of days after this video) by an Iridologist. I thought I might share what she has me doing for it. 1 TBS molasses 2x daily for 3 days, 1 TBS molasses 1x daily for 6 days, 2 tsp for 2 days, 1 tsp for 2 days. I don't know if it works yet but worth a try. If you have never been to an Iridologist, try it if you have one available. VERY eye opening. When you are iron efficient and you quit drinking coffee it makes it that much harder. The irony is coffee inhibits iron absorption…so it’s a vicious relentless circle.
Pottassium deficiency and anemia with or without iron Deficiency definitely cause heart palpitations. PVC's and PAC's....I get them both with these things. When they are corrected, they go away.
Those memory issues are things that pester me. I attribute them to emotional issues. I think my blood panel is ok…but I’ll have a new one soon to make sure.
Iron deficiency is usually related to diet or the body unable to absorb & retain iron. Women experiencing heavy periods suffer iron loss which can be rectified by a prescribed iron dose to rebalance the levels. Always listen to your body, excersise, get fresh air & eat a healthy diet, organic if possible. A lot of the foods we eat contain chemicals & pesticides which can harm & cause all manner of symptoms often unrelated to iron deficiency. Easy steps for health improvement, correct diet, drink water, take a multi vitamin supplement, expose your body to sun & light, excersise & don't become over obsessed.
I was recently diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia also. I went to the dr because I was having some palpitations. I also was almost passing out when I would get up from a chair. I also was having spells of getting very short of breath and air hunger. I also was having unusual fatigue. So my iron levels and hgb levels were low. My hgb was 9.6. I was prescribed iron pills and have responded well; I take with vitamin C. May I ask you what your hgb and iron levels are that you need an iron transfusion? I’m certain you will begin to feel better soon.
@@hermonorossco7988 well 6.5 deserves a blood transfusion! I am an RN and in the hospital anything under 8 received transfusion. Hope you are able to get what you need!
The bending over thing might actually apply to me. I was digging around in the bottom of the fridge last week, and when I stood up again, I turned too fast and fell into the cabinet and scraped my arm. I have a fridge-rummaging injury now.... My skin definitely could use more vitamin C, so yeah, I probably need iron, too....

Dear, you are a multitasker and you are aging. These are common common common to all of us who are maybe a little OCD...no I'll say I AM OCD, so our brains are calculating so fast, we get ahead of our physical restraints based on aging. I can tell you because I am 72 and I've been losing my objective going through rooms for years! The word salad thing is really frustrating especially if you consider yourself to have a n excellent vocab. It always get through it just takes more time for the juke box to shuffle the records!LOL I guess I've always been iron deficient I have always had brittle ridges in nails. If I take my collagen that goes away, but I've been leaving that out lately after Amy and Dr. Boz advised it. I want to start it again though, because I break my nails and they peel at the snap of a finger!
What is your pulse and blood pressure? Is pulse higher than normal? I am asking as I know someone who has similar symptoms as you, however they do not have low levels of Iron, just the RDW-CV is out of the range which falls into a range of mild anisocytosis. Have you tried taking vitamin C with your meat? I think it increases the iron absorption. Ball peppers seems to have a lot of vitamin c.
I’m surprised you did not get a thorough nutritional evaluation when you were having all of these symptoms. Clearly something is seriously wrong. If you have not had a full nutritional / vitamin eval panel done, I would do that. I would look at ALL of your markers. I had one done and not only was it incredibly helpful it was fascinating being able to see a snapshot of everything going on inside of my body.
Sounds like some auto immune probably. You r not old. I watched you b4 you are not the same. You had one child. Have u had bone density done. BEST OF Luck to u.
It would be great if the symptoms could go away by iron but honestly I doubt it. For the dizzyness you have you should get your kidney checked for Kryptopyrrolury and you should check your blood pressure from time to time. You will have a very low systolic to diastolic pressure. That's why koffee is so great for you. The way you eat supports the low pressure, which keeps you off of cvd.
Low Iron prevents oxygen flow to your organs. Why you have symptoms of Dizziness, Shortness of Breathe and Heart Palpitations. You can develop Heart Failure of Low Iron is not treated and a Heart Attack. I am a Nurse and I have Low Iron because of Small Bowel Bleeding for 6 years, and Iron Infusions have saved my life. Doctors closely monitor your iron levels when giving infusions. It's not like, yay, open the floodgates, have a nice day. But thanks for your concern. Her heme most likely knows what they are doing.
I started having heart palpitations about 20 years ago and was put on a low dose BP med. I wonder if I actually an anemic now because I have most of the symptoms you mention, including eating ice, and I have had in the past episodes of the ear thing with loud whishing sound like I'm in a tunnel. I also recently have had severe lip cracking and actual peeling, which they said was cheilitis, but the creams they gave me are not working. I don't think the doctor I have now has even checked my iron as she just cares about my cholesterol. Going to ask about it next time I go.
During peri-menopause I had extremely heavy periods and suffered many of the symptoms you mentioned. I would be wiped out for at least 2 weeks of the month, and ate huge amounts of red meat to bring my iron levels up. The mental exhaustion is for real!! I would sit on the sofa thinking of what I needed to do & simply couldn't move to do it!!

Those memory issues are things that pester me. I attribute them to emotional issues. I think my blood panel is ok…but I’ll have a new one soon to make sure.
I have hypothyroidism...symptoms are the same.
Wow I have the dizziness and breathing 😮💨
I was having crazy heart issues also my hemoglobin was 6.5 and my iron was 2. But insurance won’t cover infusions
I craved ice horribly!
I've had similar symptoms. I've passed out three times in my life. I need to find someone to tell me how often I need the blood IVs.
Have you had your hormone levels checked?
Took 4 blood tests to find my reserve of iron had all gone 😢 i kept going to drs i wS so tired , chest , pains anxiety just felt so weak headache s sadness
Couldn’t get out do nothing much, it was just too much effort , tired to stop the iron but 3 to 4 weeks with out, i just relapse 😢
Its scary 😟
I have alot of the same symptoms but my iron levels are good. In fact all my vitamins levels are good except I have terribly low blood pressure and my heart rate tends to be slow. It does affect my quality of life and I don’t know why
How long did it take you to feel better after iron infusion ?
What is your pulse and blood pressure? Is pulse higher than normal? I am asking as I know someone who has similar symptoms as you, however they do not have low levels of Iron, just the RDW-CV is out of the range which falls into a range of mild anisocytosis. Have you tried taking vitamin C with your meat? I think it increases the iron absorption. Ball peppers seems to have a lot of vitamin c.
wholefood Vitamin C is best
I’m surprised you did not get a thorough nutritional evaluation when you were having all of these symptoms. Clearly something is seriously wrong. If you have not had a full nutritional / vitamin eval panel done, I would do that. I would look at ALL of your markers. I had one done and not only was it incredibly helpful it was fascinating being able to see a snapshot of everything going on inside of my body.
Sounds like some auto immune probably. You r not old. I watched you b4 you are not the same. You had one child. Have u had bone density done. BEST OF Luck to u.
Can low iron cause menses to stop?
TY❤🧡💚🧡💙💜🤎🖤❣💘💖💖💗💓💞💕💔❤💛💚💙💜🤎🖤❣💔
I am under the Care of a Oncologist Hematologist.
@@julialane6645 also coffee is bad for the absorption of iron and shouldn't be drinking besides two hours apart of taking iron supplements oder meals with iron
Please be careful after your iron infusion with adding iron supplements, because it can lead to iron overload.
Doctors closely monitor your iron levels when giving infusions. It's not like, yay, open the floodgates, have a nice day. But thanks for your concern. Her heme most likely knows what they are doing.
🥰🥰
How did you discover you were deficient in iron?
Blood test
Too much zinc can cause iron deficiency anemia.
Shortness of breath can be a long covid after affect. I've been dealing with that after my second bout of covid
