I've never played a single Turok game, so instead of the question of the day, I have a neat fact: the games are not only based on a comic series, but one that dates all the way back to the 50s, debuting in the Four Color Comics anthology books
My dad got gifted an N64 with Turok and Mario when I was a kid, I used to play Turok daily, but had no clue what to do and couldn't even save the game. I can still recite the cheat, RBNSMTH. The second one was more confusing for me, but I remember getting quite far into it. Even the 360 reboot has its charm, I'll take whatever dinosaur games I can get. I'm so glad the first two games got a good remaster, it was sorely needed.
I really like the first two Turok games. I'm fairly certain that you were reading Shoe's review for the first Turok. He was very anti-Doom clones until Goldeneye came out. Oh and while the gameplay for the portable games aren't great (they're honestly not bad games), the music is phenomenal!
I would say the first one had a big impact on me. Especially with the limited library N64 had at the time. But I would probably say I liked 2 the most. It was a big leap
That toy commercial has me confused. Was there a Turok franchise outside of the video games, or is there a part in the video games that you ride dinosaurs? Yeah, not all that familiar with Turok. As I'm sure you could tell with my answer to your question in that I don't even have a default game, because not even tried any of them yet.
There was indeed a Turok franchise outside the games- it's based on a comic book from the 1950's which was going through a revival in the 90's, games and toys and everything.
@@goranisacson2502 Ah, OK, that explains it. Wasn't around until the later part of the 1990s, so probably missed most of it. Most of what I know from before my time from pop culture was from mum and dad, and guess maybe they weren't into it.
My personal ranking list: 1. Turok 2 Seed of Evil - Still my favorite Turok game, weapon are great, the soundtrack amazing. 2. Turok 3 Shadow of Oblivion - definitely has replay, probably has the best ultimate weapon by far. 3. Turok Rage Wars - probably has some of the most devastating weapons 4. Turok Dinosaur Hunter 5. Turok Evolution -Still struggle with this game. Nuke is much better then Turok 2 version. Screw Turok 2008 and the handhelds.

Play the games already. Stop being a casual loser.

Hi, Turok 3 Shadow of Oblivion has a remaster also now.
My favorite Turok game is, without a doubt VIOLENCE KILLER, lol.
Great commercial, Japan never disappoints.

I AM TUROK!
I always remember those acclaim contest ....name your children turok for a prize? Rly?

No Turok Evolution review for the GCN version?
Turok 2 is awesome! Only problems are the framerate & some confusing navigation.... Its like Zelda meets FPS
Turok 2 was legendary

I never had an n64 back in the day so for me it would be the Xbox 360 game. IIRC you could set the dinos on unsuspecting enemies.

...there were more than 5 games?
7:30 That's sarcasm, right?
I don't think they meant it as sarcasm.
Your out of your mind if you think Turon Evolution is worse then Turok 2008.
I assume you mean that Electronic Gaming Monthly is insane for thinking that Turok Evolution is worse than Turok 2008. I'm just the messenger.
