      No the most important bolt on is boost then maybe exhaust. but with all the bolt-ons in the world you probably still won't even get 300 to the wheels boost boost and then boost again. it's not a small block Chevy there's there's no heads there's no cams well I mean they're technically is but all that stuff is such a pain in the ass it's so it's expensive you almost have to pull the engine to do any of that stuff too and it's just so miniscule to the gains that you get from boost and any colder intake is worthless. and I live with a lowered car with my '07 mustang and it was a f****** pain in the ass and I'll tell you what I did all the exterior mods to my '07 It looked badass but I got so much s*** from the cops my 11:00 I left completely stock except I bought some GT wheels and tires used and no one bothered me or looked at me

      @misstrunchbull3953 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really?

    • @sock979
      @sock979 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@misstrunchbull3953t's hard to explain without making this comment way too long, but the engine is already so efficient. Any bolt-ons are barely going to get you any horsepower and you're going to have to spend in like two to three grand to do a full bolt on setup when you spend a couple more and you have boost and you go from like 240 horsepower of the wheels to over 400 but that's what happened with me. I made a custom bracket put on a vortec v3 and at 9 psi I was making over 400 horsepower of the wheels. You know they did a lot of upgrades in 2011 and 2010. You know the body is more aerodynamic and the chassis is stiffer. Honestly even when I had my supercharger the brakes never felt like I didn't have enough stopping power. I mean four-wheel disc brakes look at the size of the rotor stalk already. They're plenty big. You got two piston in the front one pissing in the rear. That right there is a lot of stopping power. I've never upgraded my brakes and I've never felt like I've needed to on newer cars. It's actually has a the transmission that can handle more than 300 horsepower, cough, cough, t5 you have a limited slip diff stock this is already getting too long but it's so good stock. I just feel like you're not gaining enough for it to be worth the time and money and usually anything you do to it is going to have a detrimental effect. You lower it and all the sudden it's pain in the ass to drive around and you can't go over some curves because that's what happened in my '07 did all the suspension mods and it was super cool. 5% of the time when I was driving it like a track monster but the other 95% of the time it was a pain in the ass. I hope this makes sense. This is way too long of a comment. I guess I watched this video so long ago. I don't remember exactly what it's about, but I guess if you're saying, is it worth it to mod a V6? If it's not a V8 sure it is especially these ones. They're freaking awesome if that's what you're thinking about.

    • @goodkill1
      @goodkill1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Uh no 7psi isnt 500whp. I know a dude running 10psi on e85 and he's at 400. The stock 3.7 is lucky to pulled 255 @ the wheels with the drivetrain loss and somehow you expect 500 with 7psi? The only way a person would get 500 with that motor would be with bigger valves and porting the head to increase flowrate. All in all if you can afford the headwork you could afford a bigger turbo

    • @JayNayMay
      @JayNayMay 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My blot on 3.7 is 296 at the rear wheel. Pump gas 93 octane and a pro charger you can hit 405 to 415 to rear wheels. Turbo set up you can hit over 600hp to the rear wheels. It's all over you tube

    How is the MPG on the blue car ? If it is almost like a v8 then just won’t worth it to modify because if it’s like a v8 better go for the GT , you can modify the v6 specifically the body and it’s going to be really good but if you want to modify the engine of course it’s going to be little faster but even with that never is going to be better than a v8

    • @CallMeMatt12
      @CallMeMatt12  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nobody ever said it was meant to be better than the v8, its a budget vehicle for sure. As far as mpg now that the blue car is procharged I can't say its great. But I still have not dropped as much money into it as I would if it were a v8. Parts alone cost more for the v8 let alone insurance.

    Heres my take, I had a V6 car. It was great until I experienced better. Once youve had better the V6 will become a thing in the past real quick. I wanted to modify my 3.8 Camaro until I drove a C4 ZR1. I figured why spend all that money making my V6 fast when I can have a far better car for the same money? but its all about what you want.

    • @johnmcmullen456

      That's why I avoided trying out the GT, addictive. But V6 is still not that bad, I got a much better discount, cheaper insurance, and good MPG.

      @@johnmcmullen456 my brother has an 11 GT 5.0 He just took a 1400 mile trip from GA to MO and back. He said he averaged 23 mpg. Not as advertised (26) but for a 10+ year v8 car I'd say that's pretty efficient lol.

    • @johnmcmullen456
      @johnmcmullen456 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@timmzzzz88 Modern engine management and overdrive transmissions have done wonders for MPG, especially considering the 400+ horsepower of today's V8s. My brother's 2021 F150 4wd 5.0 is getting 24 mpg on freeway trips, beating his old Ranger's 4.0 V6.

    If u have a v6. Like me. Just use it as a day driver. Save for a year or two. Then trade the v6 in and buy a V8 if u want performance. Best option. Then u can really have some fun. If u mod a v6 it gets to be the price of a gt without the power. Not worth in my opinion
