- CZ457 LRP - SK Standard Plus - Ammo Test - 50 Yards
In this video I will test SK Standard Plus , 22 long rifle rimfire ammunition to see how well this ammo performs in my CZ 457 LRP. I have installed a flat blade Timney CZ 457 precision Trigger.
The test will be composed of 40 shots in total all fired from the prone at 50 yards. I will be recording shot data including (SD, ES, Highest, and lowest velocities, as well as the average velocity) of the ammunition tested. every test begins with 20 fouling shots from a clean barrel bore, followed by 4 - 5 shot groups

This ammo has been pretty consistent for us too. Very good practice ammo for sure.
SK Standard Plus seems to be a favorite of many videos I have seen. Pretty good accuracy without costing a fortune and you can't complain about that.
That is my go to ammunition by far the best performance for the price.

Hi there that's the same ammo i use to practice it does have a greater variation in speed than the other SK ammo CZ 457 lrp all standard.
These are my go to bullets, I have the same gun and it really likes them
Mine too but now can't find any please let me know if anyone has standard plus would much appreciate it.

I shoot quite a bit of this as practice ammo. Generally quite good and some batches are outstanding for the price, I usually sort both weight and rim thickness to get the best out of it. I'm bit of a fan of their products but compete with Midas
Judging by the smoke coming off that fire...I would guess it certainly WILL have an effect...but awesome job with that Rifle, ammo, shooter combination

Hey good shooting. The advice on a light grip is spot on, I like to have zero tension in my trigger hand. Can't get SK here (NZ) just now but I had perfect conditions here this arvo and got 9 shots at 100M into 0.65 and 10 were 1.06 (one danged flier) with my hunting weight CZ457. Eley Team ammo. Light touch required with this light rifle!

Shot dang good for the price. Yesterday I tested Norma Tac 1083 fps. I was impressed by it for the price. I ran it through a Waltz die before I shot it.

The glass on my razor is a lot clearer especially when running high magnification or at longer distances. It makes it a lot easier the see the wind
I called 22 different ammo distributors yesterday and they were all sold out of standard plus I shouldn't have opened my big mouth and told them how good it was now I can't find any but I just can't help bragging lol good shooting bro.

I have two cases of that ammo right now. Got my new Arken mounted but not had the chance to get it out to the range. Area 419 universal 14” rail and arca mount for my atlas are inbound. Great video as usual!

I just want to mention one thing to you one more time. You kind of remind me of myself and what I was doing years ago. Your groups are good as mine were but I wanted great ones so I was stuck with .4 to.7 inch groups and was shooting just like you. Then one guy said you have a Light touch with your trigger and a Death grip on your stock try a light pressure on the whole gun. It took a bit but I started shooting .2 to .4 constantly. There is a tool called a ransom rest and nothing touches the gun hand loaders and gunsmiths use look it up and you will see how accurate a hand gun can be. It became clear to me my body was the reason why I was stuck with half inch groups and not the rifle or ammo like so many people are. I'm not telling you what to do we are all different I'm just saying I thought what I was told was worth a try and for over 30 years I'm glad I did. A Sargent told me one time all else being equal women can out shoot men because there heart and lungs are smaller so less movement on the gun. Oh well I'm done you do you I'll do me bro.

I have had the best consistency from my 457 with the SK Plus fodder. Your results my vary.

@@BROTUNED True. At 25 yards I get one hole groups with SK Standard out of my CZ rifles, and I mean it looks like 1 shot, not 5. So tried it in my Anschutz Match 54 target rifle, not so good, it prefers Eley.. Go figure.
When I use the ibi barrel it also prefers eley ammo
Great shooting Ryan just been testing a few different cheap 22 ammos don't know if this is available in Canada but if you can find it geco semi auto is definitely worth look came out on top for me and was the cheapest

I have a CZ 457 varmint. I have also found the the SK Standard Plus shoots really well in my gun. It's been hard to find lately, but I lucked out yesterday, and found two bricks for $75 ea.

I shoot (UK) competitions with standard plus and can, bench rested using my competition 10.22, get a single hole from 10 rounds at 50 yards.
Amazing ammunition IMHO.

im curious, how come you switched back from the ibi barrel?
I was getting a lot of requests to test with the factory barrel so that’s what I’m doing I will also run all these different tests with the IBI barrel as well. The IBI barrel is far superior to the factory barrel
My cz do the same. Just order 40 box of them. 😎 i have try many SK but this i still the best. Some diffrents happen whit 100 meter but not very bad. Do you CC in the center of the shoots?

Ballistic Coefficient: 0. 0.172. Muzzle Velocity: 1073 fps, @100yrds: 998fps.
