Jesus had a lot of good teachings that sadly get overlooked or warped into something malignant by people seeking power over others. I wish more people who consider themselves Christians would actually strive to live and behave as he did.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who know of Jesus but don't follow Him. I also wish they would put their pride aside and put His teachings into practice. Peace.
Facts. But who or what is God? I tried to define him (it, her, them) and could not do so definitively. The best I could come up with is, Love, married to Wisdom. And even then, how do I define Love? As the all encompassing force which pervades all things. How do I define Wisdom? As the negation of all that is false or corrupt. In other words and as simply as i can say it, God is: all that is, minus all that is not. In other words, God is the only real reality. My two cents, spend as you wish.
Jesus' message is that our timeless priority should be Love. I would highly recommend anyone to read the Bible and see what it says. I guarantee your life will be transformed.
To learn and then to teach is also to love and to be radically honest. Easy stuff. But you, salter of salt and lighter of candles, must also call out to the brethen: let us not ferment with hypocrisy, let us not ferment coveting power, fame, cash nor eternal youth. Just serve and chill, should be easy yet we cling. Will we listen to our Master or keep seeding death?
@Gabrielle Parker can you point these verses out for me? I think i may have read a different translation than you, because I didn't see such. However, i will tell you what I did see, i saw verses that advocated compassion toward others. I saw verses that encouraged humility (defined as viewing others as equal to yourself rather than below you, including slaves and women). Slavery and oppression of the gentler sex existed as a fact of life for most people throughout history, however thru the prompting of enlightened people who came into contact with a loving God, people began to question the oppressive institutions and saw a need to bring balance to the world by right action. Let's take slavery for example, slave owners would treat their slaves like animals or worse and considered them to be scum and would force them to work Non-Stop with terrible living conditions. The Hebrew law implemented a day of rest for all including slaves and animals. It also implemented away for slaves to become free (considering that in most civilizations and cultures throughout history once a slave you were slave for life and even your children if you had any would be slaves). But still I would like you to try to convince me of the veracity of your claim. I'm not a close-minded bigot. I'm not going to beat you over the head with a Bible. I want an honest and open conversation with you.
For me the foundation Jesus speaks is to build our lives based on what he teaches us. So even if we get cancer, learnings don't matter money don't matter ...what matters is how much we put the teachings of Jesus in our life. How miracles are true,
This is why anyone thinking about bringing a child into this world should already have built not only a strong foundation (monetarily, emotionally, spiritually) for their self but have also already built a separate foundation for each of their desired number of children they plan on having.
The beauty of this interpretation here is that christians will say the foundation is the word of god which is indeed a timeless priority. Thank you for this message it gives me hope. I will continue to have faith in Jesus! I have been struggling financially and mentally because I lost my job as a social worker because I declined the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health conditions heart disease and lupus. I’m on a ton of medications already warfarin and blood thinners. Living with lupus is challenging I’m in constant pain. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth hospital. Since losing my job I’ve been struggling to provide for my two children. I’m so overwhelmed because both of my boys are autistic. So they require a lot out of me. My husband passed away three years ago so I’m all alone. I’m so down and depressed over my circumstances. I have been called horrible names and mocked because of my situation. I was even accused of lying by christians which really hurt my heart. Every month is a struggle and I’m in fear of being homeless. But I have so much faith that God will provide for me and my children.
I will pray for you. Keep hope, it only takes one good day until your circumstances turn around and you find that new job or person who can help. Keep faith 😊
I’m sure you’ll find help or you’ll step up beyond what you think you’re capable of handling. Don’t give god or jesus credit when it was YOUR doing. Don’t give someone else the power to make your life great. Even a religious figure. Much peace and love to you. There’s tons of resources for respectful and mindful autism parenting. I hope you research and find it.

There was a Webtoon I read called "The Golden Spoon" where a kid finds a golden spoon who allows him to switch lives with a rich kid. Even though he ended up with all the money in the world and managed to help his previous family, he regrets not being with his family as much as his friend who he swapped lives with, since money was first in his book
you're 100% right about "Sand" being a Life built on Time.. and you're 100% Right about the woman who built her Life through relationships and a Job she Loves 👍 However, at the Core - Love is The Rock because the Bible says God is the Author & Creator of Love/ THE TRUE ROCK is in seeking Him 1st.. This is the Message of the Bible simply summarized in the two verses also found in Matthew 22:37-39.. Your video didn't mention the Infinitely Greatest Rock to Build your Life on 1st by pursuing His love & moved right to God's Second Command for Living on the Rock.. We Believe that's Absolutely Necessary for the 100% MOST Satisfied & Fulfilling Life! ! But All in ALL,, GREAT VIDEO & Glad to see you Sharing Biblical Truths most people are blind to - God Bless YOU! ! ! 🕊️
I have to say I believe you are correct, but I also believe that the video is saying exactly what you’re saying. I believe that by seeking God first, means that you follow your soul in all your endeavors. What do you believe it means to seek God first and what do you believe it looks like to have love as your rock?
Also remember, we are meant to seek god and yet not to wait for god to solve our problems and things, we must act on our own accord for he only helps those that help themselves
I don't know man, I think it's more complicated than this. I thought about similar concepts, but personally called them Processes vs. Projects. Processes(timeless) don't have a final, achievable goal, where Projects(time-dependent) obviously do. Here's the problem I have with the explanation in the video: Despite what is told there, I think timeless priorities can be bad and time-depended can be good. For example that guy who wanted lots of money also has a timeless priority: getting richer. Just as learning, you can do that all the time, it's your way of life. On the other hand, imagine that that rich guy after getting cancer decided to spend all the time and resources he has left on a time-dependent priority-creating some kind of a cancer-treatment foundation. I'm trying to say that "sand" or "rock" priorities not necessarily defined by whether they are timeless or time-dependent. Actually, I believe you need to have both in your life. Timeless priority can be Learning, but time-dependent can be Passing Exam or Writing a Book or anything. It's difficult to only have timeless, since it's more of a direction, it's vague. It's also bad to only have time-dependent or goals without understanding a bigger picture, since you'd be like a robot which goes from one checkpoint to another. But when you have both and when they make sense to you, then you know where and why you are going and that's what should eliminate any regrets when you the tragedy comes.
I agree about the balance between the timeless and time-dependent priorities. Nothing is black or white, we should follow a delicate balance in our lives.
I’m not a Grammar Police but…you’ve got a missing link in your comment and that would also clarify the leftovers I did throw away a couple of nights earlier as I write to you right now after having had my growl a few many weeks ago..! 😊
This is so good. I had a interpretation about its teaching that was similar to yours, but you've explained it much better. To me, solid foundation would be the spirit (the world of ideias, like Plato says; the metaphiscs), because that dimension time can't touch. The weak foundation would be the material things (money, looks, assets), because what is material, in a paradoxal way, is more volatil than what is not, therefore time take it way. What i hadn't noticed is: what time can't take way it can't obstruct to exist. That's empowering. Your view helped a lot. Thank you from heart!
Great video! I think understanding Jesus values and understanding him as a philosopher, instead of just putting them at a religious perspective is the best way to put his teachings into practice.
I have been watching your videos for a while. What I've noticed is that sometimes I understand so easily, and ither times I have to rewind a few times. On times that it clicks, it's usually because I have examples from my own life that fit what you are saying so much. It is then that your video becomes the missing piece in my understanding. In those moments, I feel very insighted (if that's a word haha). Thanks for another useful video 😊😊
Great vid! While I agree learning is one of the most timeless endeavors you can pour yourself into, Jesus' analogy of the rock vs sand was about following his teaching vs our whims. His teachings ultimately are about love and truth. They are the eternals, the characteristics of God that will be a rock to build your life on. Knowledge (through learning) can come and go, but love's reverberations will echo through human existence.
When Jesus said to Martha that Mary had chosen the best part, that's what he meant, she chose to learn by listening to words of wisdom instead of working hard on daily tasks that result in wordly rewards...
Don’t take things out of context from the Bible and put your own thoughts on them. Jesus was clear when He said that “whoever hears my words…” so in order to understand you have to read the Bible. I’m not saying that you’re wrong in what you said in the video but we always have to put God first and give our life to Him as He gave His life for our sake. When we put Jesus first in everything and surrender to Him and to the finished work that He did on the cross, that’s when out house is built on a rock foundation. Because Jesus is our rock
I have been reading through the comments looking for someone who had this realization. He is our rock because only through Him there is eternity and through ourselves and the world (sand)we perish.
This is a awesome subject for a vídeo, view the wisdom of the wisest man on the history of the earth. To that i want to add that this speech of Jesús is know as the Sermón on the mount, and goes from chapter 5 of Mathew to chapter 8 when he Downs the mount. And in all that chapters he says TONS of wisdom for life and ended al the speech with the words of this vídeo, if You Lost en what he says in all the Sermón and You doit, You are going to be like a wise man... It's speech full of wisdom i invited You to read it. sorry for maybe some mistake i'm not a native. But i hope than that don't affect the message. Have a good time and love to You all. ❤
Insightful interpretation and parables, especially based upon the important "when rain comes down" theme. Many people live their lives within "if these sunny days continue indefinitely" mindset.
Actually hes twisting the word, which is even worse than not mentioning it. Jesus said the best foundation is to treat others like youd like to be treated
In a more literal sense, Jesus IS the rock, and when he returns, we will save the ones that are his and judge the rest because their ways are wicked. Jesus taught how to love one another and only those that love are the ones worthy of eternal life.
That strong foundation that Jesus refers to is building your foundation on the principles in the word of God. "Acting arbitrarily without knowing principles is harmful." -Tao te Ching 16
What are more more examples of timeless foundations besides learning? Also thought the examples were a bit stretched to try to show your point. What if the rich man had friends? Would he have been ok too? Cool vid.
This is simply Awesome! I never listened such thing before..I realize what I am actually seeking for. Actually, you gave me alot to think and rebuild my life...Thank You so much..for such beautiful content..❤
I don’t make comments on videos, but this video is very profound. It a very good resource to deeply think on past experiences. Very well done @freedominthought.
The only difference between Tony and Min is that Min wasn't succumbed with Regret. It's Obvious Tony cared about having friends and family and he neglected that desire. If Tony was proud of his advancement and content he wouldn't have felt so regrettful and maybe died a happy man. Also, an even more timeless priority is devotion to God, which was not said and I'll deduce both lacked. Michaelangelo outlived all his friends and relatives but died a very proud and content man because of the work he accomplished.

@@maybelikealittlebit we did not create ourselves. And we did not come from monkeys. We were created by God. God is the creator. When good and bad happen, I give him thanks. Just because you don't believe in him, doesn't mean others don't and you can't change ppls mind bc of your unbelief. That's on you.
Though you suffer you offer hope with these words. 🫂
U GOT THIS
Be proud to say:I'm always changing who I was yesterday is gone.
It is always better to build our mind flexible enough to change own prejudices anytime
I tend to forget how our time is the most valuable thing we have, it really makes me question what I've given value too
Jesus Christ! This is life changing ❤
Jesus always said that external things won’t make us happy. It’s just a band-aid.
Thank you lord jesus for giving me freedom of thought. Love you😁
We should all be more like him
Using time to compare the two types of priorities is so helpful for me. Absolute game-changer. Thank you.
Thank you so much
God bless you abundantly ✝️☦️🙏❤️😊
I’m happy to see more videos on Jesus
you're 100% right about "Sand" being a Life built on Time.. and you're 100% Right about the woman who built her Life through relationships and a Job she Loves 👍 However, at the Core - Love is The Rock because the Bible says God is the Author & Creator of Love/ THE TRUE ROCK is in seeking Him 1st..
The teachings of Jesus are timeless. They were practical then, are practical now and shall be forever more.
Thanks for sharing this!
Welcome home brother
I don't know man, I think it's more complicated than this.
I thought about similar concepts, but personally called them Processes vs. Projects.
Processes(timeless) don't have a final, achievable goal, where Projects(time-dependent) obviously do.
Here's the problem I have with the explanation in the video:
Despite what is told there, I think timeless priorities can be bad and time-depended can be good.
I am in fact the tragedy lol
I’m not a Grammar Police but…you’ve got a missing link in your comment and that would also clarify the leftovers I did throw away a couple of nights earlier as I write to you right now after having had my growl a few many weeks ago..! 😊
I love him. He changed my life
This is so good.
Jesus ist the Rock.
Build on him.
He's timeless.
Good video !
Gratitude is my timeless priority.
Great video! I think understanding Jesus values and understanding him as a philosopher, instead of just putting them at a religious perspective is the best way to put his teachings into practice.
Jesus is incredible. Thank you for sharing some of his message!
You truly inspire me. This was such a great video that the words would never do justice. This channel is becoming my favourite one on TH-cam. ❣
Well said.
Man this video litterraly changed my life
Sharing these videos with my ex. She really needs these videos but the way I explain them are too abrasive. This I perfect
I don't know how to thank you but Thank You!...
This video just changed my life
Now I am more better :)
God Bless you for making these wonderful videos, synthesizing the timeless wisdom of the world.
Actually hes twisting the word, which is even worse than not mentioning it. Jesus said the best foundation is to treat others like youd like to be treated
In a more literal sense, Jesus IS the rock, and when he returns, we will save the ones that are his and judge the rest because their ways are wicked. Jesus taught how to love one another and only those that love are the ones worthy of eternal life.
thank you, for you have given me new two sights to build my future in my 20s❤️ Can't wait to see another video
Your channel was the best thing ever happened to me in TH-cam
I can eat and drink altogether at the same time! Just blend the food together with the water and slurp it down.
Moving forwards and backwards at the same time is also possible, by staying stagnant at the exact spot that I’m currently on!
Sure but that strong foundation that Jesus refers to is building your foundation on the word of God
That strong foundation that Jesus refers to is building your foundation on the principles in the word of God.
"Acting arbitrarily without knowing principles is harmful." -Tao te Ching 16
Yes we all understand that but the point of the video is to help people understand his teachings from another perspective
What are more more examples of timeless foundations besides learning? Also thought the examples were a bit stretched to try to show your point. What if the rich man had friends? Would he have been ok too? Cool vid.
God.
Love, honesty, creativity, maybe it sounds a bit abstract but the strongest foundation is grounded in the truth.
This is the best video yet!
Thank you!💌💌💌
This is simply Awesome! I never listened such thing before..I realize what I am actually seeking for. Actually, you gave me alot to think and rebuild my life...Thank You so much..for such beautiful content..❤
One of best videos on ever made!
I love you. Thank you brother for all of this
Sometimes it's not about doing it "right" it's the journey. It's a shame that something that should be so compassionate is harsh and unyielding.
Very powerful message
So beautifully put. I love how you distinguish between the sand and the rock. So much clarity.
These videos paired with AMS videos are perfect for men to watch
Relating to this made me so sad. I m just like that. I totally understand your videos. Thank you my man 😭
This would be great if someone could see this and understand it at 5 years old!
So grateful I stumbled upon this video today, new sub💯
God thank you so much, I really needed THIS. I will put THIS into practice.
I don’t make comments on videos, but this video is very profound. It a very good resource to deeply think on past experiences. Very well done @freedominthought.
Wow, amazing concept! Thank you
Great explanation learning and knowledge.
These videos are great, you should do more essays on Jesus’ sayings and teachings.
I think it was a very straigth forward approach. It was a very good thought, thank you!
Thank you so much. This video really struck me and moved me to better navigate through life.
Amazing insight, thank you from one student to another.
