They haven't addressed a few things in a while that I have been expecting, namely tactile interactions, EVA push/pull and the new Quantum experience in some time.
They wanted the push/pull to coincide with the new EVA thruster mechanics and the utilisation of oxygen depletion, so we likely won't see all of that until 4.0 or a 4.x patch after resource management is finally in.
"CIG is confident that this time the fix is actually working" - joke of the week.

Thanks for the update. Also am I the only one who finds it weird you have to download the new launcher off spectrum? Like it's awesome, I have been using it for about a week but seemed odd it came from spectrum xD
Just because the bases and whatnot are tracked till Dec 31st 2024 does not mean they will not take longer than that. CIG said in the post the progress tracker will be update till the end of the year so you might not want get your hopes up.

My man... dont give false hope for the progress tracker update! Those 2025 January end dates are not completion times, the progress tracker is only updated TILL 2025. Work could go much farther into 2025 for a task showing complete Jan 2025. CIG even said there would be no updates yet for 2025. The completed projections are just the ones that are slated to complete before 2025.
Hopefully the 4.0 runs more stable like the last one. Can't wait for a stable experience. Thank you for that overview and see you in the verse.

If you're expecting something related to Star citizen under any circumstances, you will be disappointed especially production schedule, also progress tracker does not indicate completion when work stops on a section of gameplay, it just means work stops, and those assets have no guarantee to make it into the game next patch, and yeah no surprise on 4.0 being pushed to Q4

I think you can't based yourself on the fact that base building and stuff 'finish' at the end of 2024 on the progress tracker. They surely don't want to put everything on the PT, they will wait until Citcon to have the realistic duration, much more features and future versions (4.X we hope, like good old days). It seems weird that they built a v1 in only 6 to 9 months, as Todd Papy told, they started working on it in Q1 2024. Base building seems really huge and need a lot of features and underlying systems that are for the most part broken or struggling nowadays.
there's absolutely no way we get base building this year, hell I have strong doubts we'll even get 4.0 this year, the likely thing is tat in 2025 they'll either release base building or add some new things to it and delay it to 2026 because it's taking longer than they thought
Im hopeing .24 gets pollished enough for the PU soon. We have been waiting for quite some time for it.

To say that I cannot wait for 3.24/4.0 is an understatement.
Good stuff! Not sure that 4.0 will be released to PU by quarter 4, but most likely Evocati testing. Seems CIG are taking their time with pushing out patches to PU these days until they are (mostly) running smoothly. So I see them taking their time with 4.0 to make sure it works as well as possible.

We'll see if 4.0 actually makes it out this year. It's a little disappointing that 3.24 has taken this long, but big tech changes break stuff... The question is, does the 3.24 delay also push 4.0 back?

I am praying the server meshing goes well and they solve all the bad bug issues with the doors and invisible rocks have killed me several times so thats pretty old. If they can fix what is supoosed to work this game becomes the GOAT space game ever made.

I noticed that when you talked about 4.0, you didn't talk about the server meshing, or I didn't catch it. is it me or have they not given an update on that? I does seem like a pretty important piece of tech for 4.0 to work XD
Forward operating bases were shown a while back they are just small industrial bases made from current assets from the distribution centers nothing major.

Invisible asteroids are responsible for like half my deaths in game. Hope the fix sticks!

Hold up. The progress tracker lists specific groups and the jobs they are doing, not when a feature will actually be COMPLETE. There have been features that stop work in the tracker, don't for up in the game, and then return years later for more work because they were waiting on something else (generally new tech but also things like availability of another team). Progress tracker ending for a feature is far from meaning it's complete. :-(
Also, it occurs to me that half those "unannounced ships" that will be done by end of year are probably Hornet variants. Ghost, Tracker, and Super Mk II.
