Yes, and it also looks way better. When you are going to spend A LOT of time in a ship (especially true in a starter ship, in which you won't do tons of money fast), might as well have a pleasing style and fun handling :)
Got a 135C with ingame currency and absolutely love it. Whenever I take off from a pad i just max the throttle, hold down space and flip it around before slamming afterburner away from the station. Quick and nimble makes it easy to do bunker missions since its easy to just fly in behind the bunker tower and not get shot at. Probably gonna get the 125A after the 3.17.2 wipe. Perfect little ship for solo or duo grinding ground missions.
starter ship aside , the 100 series is perfect optional Runabout for 890j owners , rather than taking a 890 down to land somewhere take the 100i , collect some cargo and go back to the 890 ,its a much better option than the 85x imo
And since you can fit three of them, I'd personally fill the 890's hangar with two 135c's and a 125a. Send them out and you have 12 scu and a decent amount of firepower just in case you need it

@@detpackman that's true, but when the game is eventually officially released at some point, one of my goals in to get an 890 that my friends and I can use as a mobile homebase while also doing some touring to make money on the side while we do our real jobs.
My wife owns the 125a and I love flying her ship. Even though it’s not as agile as say the arrow, it makes up for it by being an actual pleasure to fly. They really nailed the German engineering feel
You can use them at Platium Bay outposts, spawn them, refuel, restock and store, 100i has great quantum fuel and hyrogen fuel efficiency plus the bed for logging out at your favorite place.
I love the 135c but I just can't ignore the fact it costs the same as a 315p, while offering less (less cargo, less shields, less amenities, less everything), especially further down the road when the 315p will hopefully become fully functional. Being able to spawn the 100-series from outpost pads usually reserved for ground vehicles is a nice feature. Can't help but think that further down the road, such small ships would be great rentals to use when your main ship is docked at another station/system or even set up as a mobile base somewhere in space.
Your analysis of the different ships and comparison between them are really the best. The image quality, sound & music, all great. But the narrative, that was excellent, to say the least.
The 100 series will fin in the Carrack's hangar with all three wheels touching the deck. It just requires it to be landed in just the right place and with the nose at an angle.
Looks like a ship fit for a Mandalorian. Get the cargo variant and store the bounties in the back. Carbonite freezer using the interior cargo area. The slabs are then automatically pushed into the rear cargo area.
Nice to hear your voice again. :) I don't know why, but I kind of like the 100-series, especially the 125. I cannot say it makes me want to buy any other Origin ship. Their design is usually a bit too.... smooth.

they only increased the avenger titan and 300i with 5$ (making them still cheaper than any except the 100i), the stalker, 315 and 325 didn't change. a 315 and 135 are the exact same price even
I just picked up a 125a (using aUEC) and I have to say, it's amazing! For running bunker missions around MT it is perfect. Can park right up to the bunker, it's pretty quick, plenty of fuel. NO LONG BOARDING ANIMATION! For dedicating combat I have my Sabre, for cargo I have my RAFT or 400i. But for just zooming around, I'm really liking the 125a. Decent internal storage too (no gun rack though). Would I pay actual money for it? Probably not, but it's cheap enough in-game to be worth picking up. Oh, and two last features that are very helpful: can spawn at an outpost, and the expedite is INSTANT, saving time.
All three of the 100 series ships have the same dimensions, which makes me wonder what the 100i has in the space that's occupied by the second missile rack in the 125a or the additional cargo space in the 135c. Does CIG have an answer to this? I didn't find it if they do.
I was hoping they'd give the 100 more interior, as it's supposed to be the 'touring' version. Though, looking at the size of that module probably not...
I read somewhere before it has additional fuel tanks in that space but neither erkul nor official website says it has any more fuel capacity or fuel tanks, can very well be just empty space

I'm personally a really big fan of smaller, soloable ships over the giant hypewagons, partially because we won't be able to solo the big ships later in the games development cycle like we can now; CIG have reiterated this many times. Also as an IRL campervan person I just love little ships with living compartments; if CIG would bring out a slightly larger, quantum capable MPUV with the storage space used for a bed and shitter I'd buy 3 of them.
Whilst i'm sure they'd fit the c2 wont be suitable for launching ships, i can guarantee you'll have a bad time parking them inside that thing in any sort of a hurry it's a cargo box not a landing bay, and we've seen what happens when a rogue ship clips into a cargo grid of a bigger ship, everything goes boom.

This is one of the few series where i think the base model is the best value. The 125a isn't a big enough performance boost for the added cost and the 135c is simply a smuggling ship at a price point where you can get a more serious cargo vessels. I also contend that they are the best delivery ships in the game due to their speed, small size (closer parking) ,fuel efficiency, and convenient ground-level door
I have to say, its fun and easy to fly, has a great view out of the canopy and is very zippy. The fuel system is amazing, But.. The Misc Freelancer Duration also has a specialty fuel refinery built in on board that is probably about as big as the entirety of a 100i ship. So no, it is not the only one in the game that can do this. That being said! I find myself wanting to hop in the 100i even though I have some of the most expensive ships in the game, and have no reason to ever touch a 100 series, other than I want to.. And that says something for the design. My one and only complaint, is that the 135C should have increased quantum fuel capacity, just like the bigger 315P wich I also own. Its increased to around 800, I believe the 135 should also be around 800.
Let's put it this way: I have had a 315p since the begin of the year and had mixed feelings: the cargo bay are technically cosmetic as you can't physically out anything inside without if falling out randomly or freaking out. The up in the air entry sometimes works, sometimes clips you through the ship, depending on the patch I was playing. The ship is pretty big and loses pieces with ease and just sports 2s3 weapons and 2 missiles. Carrying any box inside can be tricky at times. Now that we will get a full wipe I'm throwing away aUEC just tot est stuff and I bought a 135c in game. It's surprisingly fun to use and probably more effective in combat then my 315p, more agile, accelerate faster laterally and vertically and apparently cannot deplete it's hydrogen fuel whatever you do, even boosting all day. It is much smaller and lower then the 300 serie, lacks a WC and a kitchen but keeps the bed. The WC in the 300 serie does not have a shower so I guess the time in the wild is limited anyway. The ship small size make it a viable snub ship and the quantum fuel is larger then in any other small ship and on par with the 300 serie, except the 315p which has marginally more fuel. It lacks a shield compared with the 300 but since 3.14 it doesn't changes much, and the 100 serie is better at avoiding being hit. It also spawns on any mining base. What makes my day is that cargo bays are actually usable and entering the ship never tried to murder me. You technically could transport 6 people in the cargo bay without killing them and whoever fits in the cabin as well. If you are going for a starter fighter with some utility, go for the 325a; if you need an daily runner and a small hauler get the 135c instead of the 315p until they will implement the tractor beam and other stuff. I'm contemplating melting my fully pimped up 315p for one of these. Entering almost at ground level really make a world of difference in practicality. One caveat: if you despawn a 100 serie with the engine on, it will respawn mid air on the landing pad and you won't be able to retrieve it. I hope it will be fixed soon. My dream ship on the serie is a fast ambulance with the cargo bay switched for a medical bed (you can load the victim from the rear ramp)and a couple of small seats instead of the logging out bed.
The 125a needs a weapons upgrade. Should drop the AIR system for two additional s2 weapon hardpoints Or drop 1 and add a s3 hardpoint in asymmetric config. Or origin needs to make a 200 series
Not gonna lie, I didn't care for the 100 series at all but now that I know that it could be put into the Carrack Scout Bay that opinion has changed. I won't buy it but I may try to buy one with aUEC or later UEC. Thing is that it doesn't fit 100% and it still has a lot of other competitors that can also fit up there like the Buccaneer which is probably the best ship for that slot if it comes to taking a combat ship along, the 85x, M50, Razor, Aurora, MPUV, the Arrow in the future when you can lower the landing gear without folding the wings and of course the Pisces, so if CIG changes anything with how ships behave when inside another one and if a ship doesn't fit 100% into another one takes damage or it is just dangerous overall, then the 100 series drops fast. I'd really like to know if whoever worked on the 100 series thought about the Scout Bay or tried fitting it in there.
I really like the 100i. I think it's the best starter ship, even though the Pisces is technically more useful. The 100i looks better, flies better, fights better, offers much better views, and has a bed, which is incredibly convenient. The one issue is with its top speed. Its pathetic at 1000 m/s when even the cute little C8X shuttle is faster. Still, I have one of each and I find myself flying the 100i 99% percent of the time. I hope CIG give the 100-series a pass when they change the flight model and balance them better. I'd hate to have to spend another $10 on the 125a. Haha
could you do a compariosn between 100i and aurora. perhaps in mind of them as a snub fighter ship, cause they are rather small and can fit some bigger ships (carrack, 890)? For combat the 125 vs the Aurora LN (the 2 shields from the Aurora seems really competitive) or the 135 (closed cargo bay for ranger) vs the Aurora CL in terms of cargo

If anything, it's Drake and MISC who should have starter models in their lin up. In saying that, that are a lot of starter ships already available that many will move on from very quickly. What we need is more mdeium size ships that are specific to the wide variety of professions that will be in the game.

I really just want to see anvil expand a little bit more but I am super digging crusaders design aesthetic and I just want to look at every single crusader ship that they release.

Just got my SC game, and chose the 100i, and upgraded to the 125A, thank you for this video, it helped me a lot to decide my first ship in game.
I just had an idea for a ground vehicle. It's literally a 1 SCU box. But you press a button and it deploys into an ultralight rover.

If you want to ship good at combat and at carrying cargo, get the Avenger Titan. Best starting ship in the game in my opinion.

As an owner of the 325a. I relly enjoy the look of the 125a. The missile rack looks fun. And not having to deal with a ladder seems nice

Im almost certain you'll be able to use a pair of these in a C2 as a sort of baby idris...
